As a solo player, this was all sorts of satisfying. Aggressive anos will never learn. Pachys look tough, but they are barely more difficult to repel than raptors.
If you combine the amount of braincells that every ano player has, it still won’t amount to one. Well done fending them off! They deserved a good beating.
What even is the point of aggro anos? "I want to KOS, I'll be the slowest dino in the roster" This one had friends at least to keep u busy, but all you had to do was literally just walk, with a brief sprints here and there and you're bascally fighting only pachies instead of pachies and an ano. They are nearly unkillable stationery but decide to try and chase down things as a literal tortoise with a sledge hammer for a tail.
The bop is eternal! Also the way you dealt with the Ano was truely magnificent, the fact that they both had trophies already and just wanted to ruin your day smh. You served em well!
Thanks mate! :) I think they were more for keeping me in combat to stop my healing if i got distance from the ano, the knockback is also helpful for setting up a bonebreak too, even if just to stop your momentnum a little bit.
@@pantherinthedarknessPandra I fight alot because i usually stay around hotspots so i can fight more often, after a while you can kind of guess what theyre gonna try next from having died to it before
@@hunyadacrazy THAT THEY DID LMFAO I watched the whole vid and I was like damn. Now I know how to take down an ano with my speed stego. 🤣 I grew speed stego because I figured it would be the best choice due to it having a bigger stamina pool and faster pace.
@@Remhad i deleted my defense stego and grew a speed stego solely to fight rexes and anos, everything else has just worked to fight with speed stego xD
Yea if the ano can get 1 good bonebreak and keep you bonebroken you are pretty much dead, stego can be pretty pretty strong against 1 ano, 2 anos is a very different story 😅
What sub do you recc for stegos? I’d love to grow one on officials lol Great vid! Ggs to you. Honestly a bit terrified to play on officials, I prefer playing in groups but I never have anyone to play with, so I just grow my dinos then move onto the next /: ig im scared of dying more than anything :’) Any tips on how to be more brave in official servers?
Thanks! :D I use a speed stego but I would recommend a balanced stego, its in a sweet spot for stegos between tankiness and trot speed :) As for feeling comfortable in officials, there are no tips for that i'm afraid, that comes with time. :) When something bad happens i usually say to myself "that is unfortunate", that helps me atleast :)
@@hunyadacrazy ahhh yess! I was thinking of a bal stego, hide preference? Or just go full bal? And I see, ahh I keep running into mixpacks and getting owned, so I just don’t play often; it’s hard finding good people to play with. I defo need to inherit the “I died oh well, I can just regrow again anyways” mindset. It’s harder to play on mobile so I’m not that great at combat on most dinos, the only ones I’m fairly decent at is the sarc, but then again I still struggle here and there. Hopefully with the new combat update I can finalllyyyy link up the correct controller and customise my buttons lol Anyway, thank you for the reply! Keep doing what you’re doing, awesome vids! ^•^
@@maijaaarilova6812 I use armored plates on stego, gives it tankiness while not reducing speed. There's alot of groups like that, it can get frustrating, but getting used to it will just take time. The growth lost on death is equal to 5 red quests if that helps to know :) Thank you! :)
Please give me tips, I am a regular passive and player but it’s gets boring bc nobody attacks me. I wanna be a steal but I keep getting killed easily? Any advice on species and tactics?
If you mean stealth/survivability while playing passively i would recommend Camptosaurus. Small herbivore that has good stamina and can hop around very fast getting away from pretty much anything in the game, it cannot fight though because it has VERY low damage. Or maybe the small latenivenitrix or deinonychus raptors can be used to eat what other bigger players leave behind after a kill. Hope this helped :)
@@hunyadacrazy oops, I meant to put passive *Ano player, but it gets boring bc nobody really wants to mess with anodontos, so I’m asking for advice on species I should be and builds for the stego, because when I play I get destroyed easily. Lol
@@Aperson84782 ah ok :) I personally use a speed stego because it suits me but i would recommend a balance stego with armor hide and without the traction passive, you can use pivot if you want thats up to you. youre gonna need all the stamina regen you can get with the armor you have. As for tactics i would say keep your stego around forests and trees and general obstacles, the stego tail can still damage other dinos through trees when they come after you, try to conserve your stamina but don't worry about using it to get to a forest where you are strongest. Last thing i can say is to not be the aggressor with it, it is very good at defending itself, it is not great at attacking. If you can get the kill on something attacking you, thats great, if you can't, just move on to eat another berry bush :)
@@hunyadacrazy I’ve been playing stego for a while, I’ve noticed sometimes when I play my tail attack stops winding up and just swings like the regular attack, even when I didn’t click the button again like I’m supposed to, has to is happened to you
@@Aperson84782 that is a bug, if you get any air time while winding up the tail swing, it will bug out like that, only fix i know is to change the slot it is bound too when picking abilities like from left mouse button to right mouse button, which can be done outside of the homecave,
I have a friend group i play with if i want to play with friends, if im solo and ya see me ingame feel free to say hi and maybe we can group up till we get attacked and die xD
The nerfs it has received lately have made it into more of a support how i see it, use the bonebreak to allow your group to get close easier, play around your group kinda style
