path_provider dependencies are outdated which makes flutter_local_notifications to get an older version. I have to use instead path_provider_android, path_provider_foundation, path_provider_windows and path_provider_linux packages individually in order to get the application documents directory path.

Your Device storage should be the limit. Don't think there's a builtin limitation.

Why would you ever need synchronous IO API in single-threaded app with UI?

@Alexander What? You launch an asynchronous task that reads your specified file and update the UI when it's done. This is standard practice. The other option is hanging the main UI thread, potentially scaring the scheduler into killing your app's process...

@@Yayaloy9 apparently you cant with the new permissions in API30+, before that you could use download path provider to save it to the Downloads folder, now all you can do is use the save dialog which let you choose the file name and location to save

@@mohamedzakariagridi1059 Aight, thank you for the info. Up until now, I have to manually configure the path manually for any of those public folders, but it only worked for android as IOS have a model number as kind of a root folders before getting to their public directory which makes it impossible to implement the save feature.

Generally, some of newer packages have akind of issues with ios simulator , and not with android , any way flutter team working on them nowadays and we are hooping all good news , Thanks flutter team🌹
