The fleeing/frightened animal situation seems simple enough to me. The animal is frightened 4 and fleeing, but you've countered the instinct to flee. It's still frightened 4, but it's listening to you. So you suppress the running, but it's still there (so long as you're animal is frightened). This kind of rule can be seen with suppression of emotions maybe, like a Calm Emotions spell removing the negatives of fear from a pc, but the pc still having the condition.
With the 'L' sounds coming from the throat rather than the tip of the tongue, coupled with the wide 'O' vowel sounds, I'm going to guess Maryland. Definitely somewhere in the US Mid-Atlantic region between DC and Philadelphia.
Crafting and Spells are definitely the two most requested topics right now. Once I wrap up animals (mounts, companions and familiars), I should start working on those two.
But Frightened naturally goes down by 1 each turn right? So the after commanding the dog, it would go down to frightened 3. Each turn that it stayed out of the way of the attackers, it would lose a point in its frightened condition. So if you command it for 4 rounds, it will lose its frightened condition and stop fleeing. Right?
and this is why I will be teaching my Dogs commands in Joton *laughs* bark order all you want in common, you fools!!!! then perhaps teach my Bear commands in Orc, just to confuse my party members more.
Great video! I have a question, when does an regular animal becomes an animal companion? Or... Do they stay as normal animals unless you found a way to get the animal companion feat? If I train a wild animal with the "train an animal" feat for a long time does it becomes an animal companion in the long run?
I had a read of the errata for PF2e and this is there: --- "Animal Companions and Familiars Page 214: In the first paragraph, replace the first two sentences with the following to clarify the specific action required to command your animal companion, and that it doesn’t require a check. An animal companion is a loyal comrade who follows your orders. Your animal companion has the minion trait, and it gains 2 actions during your turn if you use the Command an Animal action to command it; this is in place of the usual effects of Command an Animal, and you don’t need to attempt a Nature check." --- It seems you no longer need to do a nature check to command and animal. Is this correct?
