Sage advice. I took one group into Troubles in Otari and another into Abomination Vaults and both are still a blast. I didn’t know about the other options though
As a GM that had run Trouble in Otari a couple of times and started the first and 2nd floors of Abomination Vaults, this guide video is great!! Your ideas are Awesome!! I planted many story & backgrounds seeds into my players experiences based on their characters backstories. Thanks a lot for this. Hope to keep seeing more of theses.

I actually rewired a lot of the beginners Box story. First, I gave every player a reason to be in Otari and a goal I could work into the story (including troubles in otari and AV). I ended every players pre-session 1 story at the marketplace, where then at the start of Session 1, a couple of Centipedes came out of the ground. While not knowing each other yet, they had their first fight as a group. After that, I let Oseph Menhemmes join the scene, praising them for defending Otari and hiring them to check out the haunted remains of the thirsty alpaca. So instead of the fishery, its the broken tavern they go down to check out and each one of them has a good reason to do so.
I like this a lot. One of my groups were about to go explore the Thirsty Alpaca and I realized it kind of should be where the kobolds were in the first place, or at least connect to the entrance in the fishery
The only drawback I found was the lack of RPing opportunities except at the beginning. I mean, its a dungeon crawl, I get that, but it mainly focuses on game mechanics. So if you enjoy role-playing, I'd suggest writing up an extended introduction, perhaps with how the iconics all met up. Other then that, yes, its a near perfect introduction to the system.
That's a great take. I leaned into Tamily a bit to even it out but that's about it unless they explore town a bit more. I like this getting to know you stuff for the PCs, I don't do enough of it.
There’s a video on how to do this, you can make tamily ask them to buy groceries and then centipedes come out in the market and that’s how they meet, then on their way to the dungeon they can meet an orchish character that comically makes them try his orc slop recipe and they have to pass a skill check
