Just recently purchased this game. Years ago I played all kinds of Pathfinder and 2nd and 3rd edition D & D pen and paper RPG games so this really caught my attention. A bit sad to see this channel hasn't gotten more attention. This has been very informative and I love the deadpan humour.

Thumbs up for Kingmaker! I never got in the Wrath of the Righteous myself, so Kingmaker is my soft spot.

I also prefer kingmaker, but wotr has so many more classes, and that angelic progression layer additionally. But I agree, I prefer Kingmaker setting

So, I've played D&D off and on for the last 30 years or so, but never really delved into Pathfinder. Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and Planescape: Torment are some of my favorite games of all time. I love how this guide actually skips the complex details while letting you know that they are there if you want to get into them. I'll have to check out some more of your videos. Glad this was recommended to me.

I was a 5e player for 8 years before finally trying this "complicated" game people kept recommending called Pathfinder 2e. It took everything I loved about 5e and made it even better in every single way. I highly recommend!

I played both Pillars of Eternity and both Divinity Original Sin, and I have to say that Pathfinder is the most challenging one. I'm playing on "Unfair" dificulty and is extremely challenging, specially the kingdom management. After 350 hours, I have very little to finish, and my characters are level 18, so they are extremely powerful. My main character is an eldritch archer, and is a very funny class to play, sort of glass cannon

This showed up in my recommended when i just started this game. Perfect timing... Then felt called out when I saw we picked the same name and character portrait (resting bitch face for the win) and we both missed a lot of hits. I'm going to enjoy this video series!

Thanks. I purchased the Pathfinder PC games but it has been sitting in my GOG list. Having never played a Pathfinder game, I was hoping to find information which doesn't spoil the game(s). Is this the sort of game which needs a few mods to make it less broken, or is it ready to go? Love your accent.
@SpacePirateCats
@SpacePirateCats 10 месяцев назад
Thank you! I don’t think it needs mods, but they can definitely bring some nice improvements. I am playing without and I am still having a very good time, even though the game can be upsetting at times

Does not need mods.. mods can tailor it to your liking, but I dont use them myself. I have about 900hrs between the two Pathfinder games

Great video so far ❤. I just started this game and some of the things in part one I already figured out but it’s still massive and overwhelming…. Where I struggle at the moment is… I don’t know in which order to explore the first area. I wouldn’t mind if there wasn’t the time limitations with 90 days. I’m already down to 60 and I have the feeling that I’ve done nothing but a few quests, still no gear and many of the spots where I can go the enemies are simply to heavy or no challenge at all. And for my understanding if I don’t do the right order I may miss something of the story. Maybe you can pick the subject up on your second part and give me here a short tip how I can proceed. Thanks in advance, gave you a like and subscribe

Thank you! Yes I am definitely gonna talk about quest order and time management in the next part, but my suggestion would be that at some point during the Stag Lord quest you are gonna have to wait for his fort to be revealed which will take a while, so in that time you can go deal with Tartuccio. Also, if a location is too challenging just leave it for later, and bring as many camping supplies as you can cause hunting can take a long time.

@@SpacePirateCats thanks for your quick answer, im curious for the next video then. I loaded an older savegame and bought some rations, but ive noticed that they gonna hunt anyways even if "use rations" is activated. Or does that simply means it uses less time?
@SpacePirateCats
@SpacePirateCats 10 месяцев назад
Yeah you just need to tick the “use rations” options and leave the hunting slots empty. It’s gonna tell you that the hunter came back empty handed but you are actually gonna save the time it would take to hunt

I am also a Crpg beginner, the other day I was playing BG3 and I couldn't figure out why my spell caster wouldn't cast spells, it turns out that you can't wear armor for some reason.
@SpacePirateCats
@SpacePirateCats 10 месяцев назад
Oh yeah that’s a thing with most spellcasters I think, at least Kingmaker doesn’t let you equip armour that a character can’t use. I really wanna play BG too, it might be the next one on my list

Bg3 is set in D&D 5e, and is far more simplistic, and beginner friendly. Pathfinder is the extreme end of depth. Im jo expert uy ahy means, but I personally dont enjoy 5e. Despite the flaws of Pathfinder (and there are many) it really is one of the best crpg pc games

I like Kingmaker, but the thing that bothers me is it needlessly over complicates what should be simple. An example would be on choosing a new skill on level up, there's a lot of words but I still have no clue what the damage average is going to be or if it has potential to be broken with my current build or horrifically useless. It feels a little impenetrable at times, unsuitable for casual RPG players with a sub100 IQ, such as myself. PotR is also proving difficult to comprehend. I'm trying to build a sort of Jedi/Sith class using kinetic knight as the base because of the energy sword, and planning on adding some wizard spells for CC and buffs, basically replicating force powers. So far it doesn't seem to be going well, still very early but I fear I'll be going back to the drawing board.
@SirCanuckelhead
@SirCanuckelhead 6 месяцев назад
I am a big kine lover. Issue with kinetic knight, is that it trades off a lot of power and doesn’t give much back. Base kineticist would be much better for you overall. The one benefit of knight is the sword at level 1. But you can rp in the fact you need to train before your sword becomes good. Late game you can solo the game using your sword.

I dont know how yall can stand playing these in turn based mode.. i dont particularly dislike turn based games, but there are so few rtwp options. I find the real time combat far more exciting
