This is so fun because this is how I felt learning to play wrath of the righteous. I have no experience with pathfinder and I'm just figuring it out on my own. When the average player of the boardgame would know all of this stuff. People try to gatekeep these games and say u can't play them but I disagree. It's so much fun
Looking forward to more. I started this game a week or so ago and ended up buying hard copies of the books for the game just so I could try to understand more. Not crazy about the only tanks the game provides (so far) being buffed up, angry, man-hating women, but what are you gonna do other than roll your eyes at the overcompensation & politically-slanted narrative? I'm into Chapter 2 & beginning to struggle. I've been bitten by the bug now, so I'm invested in figuring the game out. So I'll probably still be hammering away at chapter 2 in later months should your videos on this topic continue. I'll leave a few questions in case you wish to touch on these things in future videos or if some kind soul has advice to give. 1) Some buildings are available only to specific alignments, like dance halls & orphanages. What happens with the structures if your alignment shifts? Do I lose the dance hall if I shift to neutral good instead of chaotic good? 2) What counts as adjacent in the city building map? If I place a longhouse in the center, are all 8 squares around it adjacent or only the ones for the four cardinal directions? 3) Which initial structures are essential & which are things to put off until later? 4) You're given two quests off the bat in Chapter 2 which ask you to travel alone. Should you put these off until you've explored/quelled the land a bit? Seems crazy to risk a random encounter solo given some of the ambushes I've walked into with a party of 6 and barely survived. Anyway, apologies for the novel & once again I look forward to more of these videos since I'm finding out I'm pretty terrible at this game. EDIT: Oh, and I'm playing a male human ranger.
Tip for the spider cave you dont have to fight any of the spider swarms you can just take the berries and leave, just renember to go directly back to the alchemist instead of exploring or you will have to go back and pick them up again
Don't just want to do 2 acid damage with Octavia? Erm... No, I want to do 2 acid damage + sneak attack damage. Since she's an eldritch trickster, she can sneak attack with spells and cantrips. As for my character, I played as a Half Orc Magus. So unlike you, I had little time or patience for Regongar, though his draconic bloodline abilities were definitely cool. Oh, those beautiful wings!
I was enjoying the game up until a bug that prevents Valerie from fighting anything. I might have just swapped her out for another character but it was literally the first battle that she wanted to fight alone because some dude wanted to take her back to wherever the hell she's from. It's a well known bug and the devs have just opted to ignore it. Went from an 8/10 game to 1/10 in a heartbeat, and then uninstalled. It's hard for me to feel empathy towards the devs when the entire game can be tracked accurately with a pen and paper, yet a pc/console can't seem to handle things without fucking up.
