Hi Team, Thanks for posting videos like this. Do 482 holders have protection if there would be any sort of business restructuring ie. sale/ change of management/ partnership dissolution? Can an employee go to fair works for if his employment gets affected?

Hi Andrew, thanks for getting in touch! This is not a straight-forward answer as there are a number of factors that need to be taken into account regarding the restructure. Each one of the examples you provided has a different outcome depending on the nature of the circumstances.

Hello, very useful information, just have a quick one, is there any age exempt for trt visa ? I have read age exempt with fair income however i am not clear, can you please advise, thank you

What I work under 485 visa with the same employer for 3 years, would I be eligible for 186 ?

Hi Alnassri, you need to hold a 482 visa for 2 years prior to applying for the 186. Time on the 485 visa not count towards PR.

Hi, I am on 482 visa. What if I have 60 days to find a new employer and 186 is logged? After 60 days, should I be granted a bridging visa while waiting 186. Thanks

Hi, i am under 482 medium term stream for a year. So after a year I can apply 186 TRT, do I need 70k tsmit salary before applying 186 TRT?

Hi John, that is correct. Once you reach two years with the same employer on a 482 visa you can apply for PR as long as the PR application will be made after 1 January 2024 as that is when the new legislation is expected to come into affect. You do not need to meet the new salary threshold as your 482 nomination application was approved prior to the changes in the TSMIT legislation.

Hi there how are you, I’m right now on 482 visa I have two questions 1. How to change my employer because current one is giving me hard time 2. I have been here in Australia from two months am I eligible for apply PR after getting RPL according to my profession and what will be the best pathway for PR ?

Hi mate thanks for great info...im 44 years next August will be 45 if i manage to get 482 visa in Feb.24...so as per new rule then after 2 years meand at age of 46 i can apply for 186 or PR?

Hi Inder, thanks for getting in touch. There is no age limit for the 482 visa but you need to be under the age of 45 when you apply for the 186 PR Visa.
