Aretha Franklin herself never revealed the identity of the father of either of the boys, but a 2014 biography by David Ritz called “Respect: The Life of Aretha Franklin'' claimed that the father of her oldest son Clarence was Donald Burke, a boy she knew from school. But there is no suggestion in the biography that the pregnancy resulted from a nonconsensual encounter, or as the movie suggests and as critics have observed, that she was the victim of statutory assault.

Next time, please do a better job at naming this video. Patti Labelle had only a fraction to do with this video. This was basically a short biography of Aretha Franklin.

There were video clips in there, two in particular, which were not those of Aretha Franklin. These were layered over Aretha-specific revelations, implying it was Ms. Franklin. It is, instead, a clip of Mahalia Jackson singing. A second clip showing Chaka Khan is also intermittently seen. I think additional post-prod editing is called for.

I enjoyed this video. However, I saw pictures of women that I knew wasn't Aretha Franklin such as Chaka Khan, maybe Ella Fitzgerald.

She was with ken Cunningham from 1970 -1976 after that she met Glynn, but when she was with ken she was seeing Dennis Edwards and some claim she was seeing a NBA player as well

They didn't mention that she had a third child with Ted white named Teddy and after she left Ted white she got with Ken Cunningham a photographer who she had a fourth child with

I loved Aretha Franklin's voice esp the spiritual songs she sings from her heart She was always herself nothing fake about her always the same person we miss her and appreciate her music her music lives on forever the real queen of soul
