Patience is MY topic. I have always been a patient person, but in 2012 I really learned to be patient for the long run, when I got sick and had to undergo brain surgery. And since a very crucial part of the entire process didn't work as planned, I had to endure three more surgeries. For about 2 and a half years, I really couldn't do anything I had planned prior to the first one. So, if you have to wait for that amount of time or even longer, being patient will never be a problem for you again.

Happy birthday, Jae! It's a wonderful episode. Two points really really hit me today. One, when Sheena said Jae exercised a lot of patience with himself learning snowboarding. I struggle with the restraint of not getting impatient with my child and I see that now she shows signs of not being patient with herself when she learns or practices something new. I will be teaching her and practicing myself what you taught me today. Two, Sheena, I saw how you reacted when you found out Trid and Snowbird did a black run. I would have lost it and yelled at my husband for letting that happen because of my own fear; instead, you showed how proud you were of what they accomplished. This really made me self reflect.

love the episode :) btw wanted to add the marshmallow experiment has been challenged because the kids who ate it straight away potentially had less trust in the adults to come back and stick to their promise of giving them another. So the experiment possibly represents a correlation between kids trusting adults and the world around them as a predictor of success rather than patience!

Me and Patience is the same as Sheena and Skiing.... I do not want to learn anymore, if patience had a scale from 0 to 100, mine would be at 8% with people including kids, but 90% with fabricating (3d printer, computer, welding, woodworking etc.etc.)

I honour Trid finally vocalising how he really feels on camera in a genuine/manner as how you’d speak to your partner if you was home not on camera. At this point he is intentionally triggering her but in actuality she is really just assassinating her own character. She dared to apologise to her viewers for not bringing the gift, before accepting her own EGO by apologising to the person it matters to which is her husband Trid. She clearly done that it to get back at Trid for simply trying to stand up for himself and bring sense of romance and dominance over his relationship.

It would be cool if Trid actually sees this, but I know I'm several months late... I read somewhere about the marshmallow experiment and the children who didn't wait to eat their marshmallow; It actually came down to food insecurity (supposedly, according to the thing I read but didn't verify), which suggests that the kids who did wait to for the second marshmallow perhaps did better in life because of access to resources. Not to throw a wrench in anything or be a contrary know-it-all; Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share. 🙂
