Our May 1, 2021 IMF Patient & Family Webinar features exciting, late-breaking news about CAR T-cell and other promising therapies: Who are the likely candidates for these treatments and how can eligible patients access them? Dr. Durie will also share important updates on COVID-19 vaccines and variants. For newly diagnosed patients, “Myeloma 101” offers a simple introduction to what can be a complex disease, while a myeloma patient shares personal insights. Our expert panel will answer your questions on what to do when myeloma comes back, how to stay safe during a COVID-19 summer, and more.

Why wait to use cartcell therapy for relapsed/ refractory ? It seems that earlier treatment would put patient in medication earlier. I just don’t understand this

In 1982, I knew a man who had no symptoms other than fatigue and he went to the doctor and found out he had multiple myeloma and he was dead in two months. I wonder why he didn't have any more symptoms, and why it spread so quickly. He had no time to even treated it

So outstanding a presentation -- I'm a rookie and often got confused with all the different drug names but you managed to breathe an air of optimism into my very soul. I am going on my bone marrow biopsy in couple of weeks. How can I identify a myeloma specialist in my area?

I am being treated at MDAnderson by a “team”. But I am feeling very cut off because I only interact with a dr assigned to me I dont know who is on the team and I feel like maybe I am being ignored surely that is not the case but answers to my questions are minimal So I am looking for better communication and a mm soecialist

@Maddie, where are you receiving care/treatment in Philadelphia? I live in Philadelphia but but based in London for 3 yrs (half way thu) and underwent DRVD and today I am D+13 following ASCT.

Just want to respond to a question that asks what D+13 means. This is the standard way of measuring the time post stem cell transplant. So D+0 marks the start i.e. the day you receive the transplant. So today for me marks 64 days post transplant D+64 and things continue to go well and numbers are rebounding
