another great lecture, Thanks you just published when it was too needy for me. Would you cover the emergency patient management in dental office as well?
I think that comes down to personal preference. Usually though, I would not recommended focusing on past experiences especially if they are negative with children.
Hi Ryan! Could you share with us someting about value, chroma, shade and hue? There were 5 or 6 questions of that in my last exam. I´m not sure about the terms. Thanks in advance
Hello Adri. Dr Ryan is the best here to answer this interesting question. I want to share with you some information about shade selection. Hue is the color period. For example hue can be A1,A2,etc. Chroma is saturation of color. For example if you select the hue or a color B then the shade with lower chroma is preferred. Value is the relative lightness or darkness of hue. Light hue has increased value than dark one. Thank you for this interesting question.
Hello Adri and Dr Ryan. Thank you for this presentation. I would like to add some information that I found in my text. According to Rosenstiel et al, 2016 and prosthodontic series22, When selecting the shade using vita guide, lightness is selected first ( value). Chroma or saturation of the color should be done in next step. Lastly the hue. According to Rosenstiel et al if matching was an issue then you can select lower chroma and higher value then you can match for the right color. Thank you.
One of the questions on my last exam was samething like: what failed in a much more white crown compared with natural teeth ( they showed a photo). So the fail was the value selection, right?
The primary aspect to match the restoration with an existing dentition is the value of the shade. A restoration with high value indicating that it is so bright and it is often an esthetic problem in metal ceramic crowns. Thank you.
