Patient Perspectives of RA Blood Work - EULAR 2023 - Dr. Ben Nowell 

As a black woman who has had RA for 20 years why aren’t we represented in the study? I have been on just about every Dmard(biologic), taken methotrexate orally and injection. I feel it’s important to see the differences on how medications and bloodwork effect us all. For example I used Enbrel(injection) and methotrexate (injection) and it did not alleviate any of my symptoms the same with Rinvoq, Xeljanz. An infusion works wonders but there’s a downfall for me. Scarring of my veins, my veins collapse during infusions. It would be great to hear all of the differences.
