Hi Theresa, I am diagnosed with Myopia MD too in September 2022 and just had first Avastin injection treatment and overcome my terrifying first injection wasn't not so terrible after all. I feel exactly the same with you. I was severely nearsighted at 7-8 yes old too and retina stretched thin symptoms is very similar. Feeling isolated and alone with anxiety frustrated too but thanks to your great attitude to share this with me/us out there. Your sharing of experience and connect with others with same sickness is very helpful. There are a lot of people with ARMD but we need this type of platform like yours to share our thoughts/experiences with Myopic Macula Degeneration. Thank-You. You are pretty AWESOME !👍💪😍👏

My story is the exact same as yours! Nice to know I’m not alone. What is your prescription? Mine gets worse every year, even in my mid 30’s. -17.5 & -18.25 last week :( I’m grateful for the injections that are helping maintain what vision I do have, and that I’m still able to wear contacts too.

I'm just wondering what your prescription level is?

Does myopia cause the degeneration? If you prevent myopia, would that prevent it?

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. My fiancee has CNV and I think this mightve helped her. She has had such a hard time coming to grips with this.... I don't know what I can do to help her. I've bought AREDS2 and she got her 1st shot of Lucentis... I don't know what else to do.

I have myopic cnvm in my right eye will i get it on another eye if it not treated?

I’ve had vision problems my whole life. Recently, I had the same experience with the wavy vision in my left eye. I see a specialist every six months and they said that nothing can be done with my left eye. I’m very afraid that it could happen in my good eye. I’d love to be able to correspond with you.

Does lattice degeneration progress quickly? I’m so worried, I was just diagnosed. Do I need to see a retina specialist for it or my regular ophthalmologist?

I was diagnosed Myopic Macular Degeneration last december 2021. I have 3 injections and my sight is stabile but not as good as before. Do you know if this is progressive? Because my doctor says I don't need injections at this moment. I am 62 but still able to drive car night and day

I had my first injection yesterday. Injection doesn't hurt, but after, omg. I am worried about depth perception and falling when I walk my dog because I have a scotoma with distortion in my right eye.

Damn, never seen anyone so happy about having AMD. Not to be rude, but why in hell are you laughing about this? Your attitude about this is actually annoying and impossible for me to continue watching the video. Btw, everyone has some small holes in their retina, not just those with lattice degeneration. I was told I had LD in 2000 and my ophthalmologist never even mentions it to me anymore. Told me not to worry about it. Anyway, all the best for you.
