Patmos is an island in the Aegean Sea, the site of St. John's exile and the place where the Apocalypse - the last book of the New Testament - was written down. Numerous ancient written testimonies and oral tradition have inspired and continue to inspire scholars to verify the fascinating information given in them. Fr. Adam Ryszard Sikora, OFM, a Franciscan, biblical scholar, professor of theological sciences at the Faculty of Theology of the Adam Mickiewicz University, author of translations of biblical books from the original languages into Polish and Kashubian and studies of the writings of St. John the Apostle, will talk about what Patmos can still surprise today.
