Hi Salvador. Great video. I'm really new to Patreon and I started by creating a blog post before I started to set up my page. One small question. should I have set the post to ''Patron as opposed to ''public in order to get paid?. I just figured that I set it to that because no one knows me yet. I came to your video after I did all this and it is a bit clearer since watching it. Thanks

Ooh. I am so excited about this video. I did see that there are three tiers. I was wondering about how they work. I am speculating here. A big part of my art is a secret society. I have a protagonist, Luspear, who is a member. I wonder if I can fashion Patreon tiers like that. The $5 tier can be called initiate. It can show Luspear dressed up like a princess. She was like that before joining the secret socity. She was naive back then. This tier can have one free print each month. I am an artist. So prints of my artwork is something I am very interested in doing. The $10 tier can be called member. Maybe I need to think of a name that doesn't sound so generic. Maybe there can be firend or supporter or something. This tier can show Luspear wearning the uniform of the secret society. It is something that all the members would wear. This tier can have two prints plus early access. The $15 tier can be called lord. It can show Luspear dresses up in her Light Lord outfit. Luspear does advance to being a lord. She becomes the leader of the secret society. This tier would have early access plus some kind of monthly merch bundle. The bundle would have two prints and other things. I have been setting up my buisness for about a year. I don't have any income yet. This video does mention things. The I realize that I have those things. It helps me feel good about myself. The video mentions blogs. Well I have a blog. Then this video mentions that one can give a video. Well I have one video. I made it last December. I would like to go farther. I think I would just start by offering the $5 tier. I may want to go for the middle tier of Patreon payment so I can do merch right away.

how does early access to content work? Say you want patrons to have access to youtube videos first: do you upload directly to patreon and risk not having engagement on youtube or do you share a private link to your youtube video? Trying to wrap my head around how it works. Thanks!

Very nice video! But how do you deal with it, as a creator, when someone cancels their membership? I mean, it can be de-motivating and frustrating if someone declines their support on your Patreon! It's not like new fans grow back just so! Or maybe they are? Is it a constant run after new patrons and fans because people can cancel their pledge and you have to make new patrons faster than some other Patrons cancel? What are your experiences as creator? Thanks a lot for the reply!

Appreciated this video quite a bit. I'm in the process of setting up my page and my tiers. What's missing for me, is I can't find info about how to actually do the things you offer. for example, If I offer access to a download area, and only patrons at that their have access, where does this download area live? How do I upload images to it? Do all of these tier-related offers reside inside the Patreon platform? Do you have any tutorials about this part of using Patreon? Is that a good topic for a coaching session?

It takes a lot of digging. I think most people are automatically put into the second highest plan. The highest one you need to apply/get invited to and the lowest one doesnt allow tiers. Theres only 3 from what I can tell

Thank you very much for this. I was thinking about making a video game and having patreon supporters be NPCs depending on their level of support. Does patron give me a way to keep track of individual supporters and how much they have been giving me? I don’t want a scenario where some one becomes a patron, I make an NPC for them, and they quit before giving me anything.

There's a blue "Add now" next to phone number, but the link doesn't work so how do I add a phone number? It's not possible to launch a Patreon without a number but it's not possible to add it...
