@@fliprodriguez5250 things are going a lot better for me now... and he still makes me cry/laugh! every time! the "Robert Kelly and sometimes Colin Quinn show" is also worth a listen.
The fish guy was the Kermit voice guy that had no Asian accent, the dry cleaner or Asian restaurant owners were the “Hello O’NEAL!” People. But yeah, the fish guy would be amazing to see how he talks. Seems like he opened up to Patrice after a while when he admitted that Asian folks have superstitions about skin color.
Damn. Patrice was the truth. He had what the best comedians have; he noticed things about humanity that most of use miss even though it's in our face every day. Fame was dialing his number just when he died. Sad. He is missed.
jones1351 ...that a strat? I have a Telecaster from years ago. Love it. SG is my favorite though. Looking to buy an ES sometime soon. I play a lot of blues etc
Fame dialed his number before all of this. He admitted himself, on O&A, that he regretted not playing the game despite how he still felt confident in his decisions to do what he did, "There is no reason why Jo Koy should be bigger than me..." He knew.
L Don't you get,,,he didn't want to be Hollywoods bitch,,,and he was rite 💯He knew what you have to do to be rich and famous ☠️He knew it wasn't worth it 👀
Patrice was on a roll in this one!!!! Fucking Patreeky! RIP. I am getting to the end of these and I am getting depressed. Guess I will just have to listen from the first one again. Weston4020, you deserve a medal for these!
This is my second run through too. After I finish these I'll probably go through Louis CK and Bill Burr or Rich Vos and then come back to these so they're fresh again haha
@@cqlt45 Second time through as well. It's funny how seldomly I mourn over dead relatives but mourn over Patrice. The man was just special and so unique.
I loved every second of it. I feel like Opie kisses Patrice's ass and cosigns everything he says until Patrice cracks a joke on him, then he gets all Opie
One of the best episodes ever - classic bit after classic bit, each one a little fucking funnier! I love the show, but a huge part of it died with Patrice...
Patrice kills on this appearance. Unfun cum, trashing Opie's pants, Anthony's stupid hair, The United Areas of America... God damn this show used to be good.
Opie: What's the big deal with expensive cars? I just don't get it. Who would ever want a Bugatti? 2 minutes later - Opie: Check out this photo I took of a Bugatti. I think I might tweet this photo...
As I listen to this compilation, and it nears the end, it seems that Patrice knew that he was rapidly approaching the end. A lot of his topics focused on his mortality, and coming to terms with death.
God you are creepy if you're suggesting he's coming to terms with death or he's psychic. Patrice O'Neal fans need to chill out with calling him a genius too. I love the man but firstly you're just wrong that it's new for him to be talking about his mortality. On his first appearance on O&A in like 2003 he talks about it.
The highlight contents of this read like some amazing album tracklist. And this is just ONE episode of over ONE HUNDRED!!! I'm so thankful for all of this content. Thanks Weston you've done the lord's work here!
51:41 it's eerie hearing patrice say "i'm dying" and talking about his health and his life this o&a was alittle before he died just before what would've been his 42nd birthday ....Man, R.I.P. Patreeky
1:45:24 How many times do you have to deal with a particular group in a situation before you're allowed to go, "I don't like them". I love Patrice. I wish this would get brought up more.
The man, the end made me feel that we were literally listening to a genius man that dies without knowing how big he end up becoming for so many people. I felt the soul left my body when I listened to them said he deserved to be bigger than what he was.
"You know what, you look like your attitude now.." LMAO LMAO 59:30 "I'm 40. I want somebody to praise me when I fill up my gas tank." LMAO LMAO 1:07:05
1:20:50 Opie says something erroneous and interrupts a theoretical conversation that Patrice was having with Ant to illustrate a point about how it would feel to have another man interrupt a conversation to say something erroneous. Holy fuck that guy should have never done radio.
I come back to re-listen to these shows and still CTFU at Patrice! Patrice went in on Opie being told to pull his pants up by his boss, with Ant on the assist! Dudes being dude. LOL
2:11:40. In all the hours of patrice that I've listened to, I have never heard him sound so fuzzy and joyful as when he fantasizes about the alligator skin chuck taylors. XD
At the very, very end, when Patrice is leaving and they're just starting to miss his presence, the sincerity of that moment. Love without calling it love. That's what I want when I leave the room.
I'm from Rhode Island.... Patrice is so right. You can drive from Exit 30 (Massachusetts state line, northern border) to Exit 30 (Newport, pretty much as far south as possible without hitting ocean) in 45 minutes if you're doing around 85-90 mph. I've done it a lot... East to West is even shorter. 35 minutes.. My state is smaller than most major cities lol
25:15 Fun Fact: In 2010 James Naysmiths original rules for peach basketball legitimately sold at auction for $4.3 million. At the same auction a copy of the Emancipation Proclamation that was signed by Abraham Lincoln sold for $3.7 million.
Ant's idea about time travelling on to the last minutes of the Titanic would be a cool idea for a VR video game. Same with lots of other historical events
Jesus fuck Patrice kills me man, I've never heard someone so funny on a talk show, god damn they should've turned this station into a trio The Opie, Anthony and Patrice show. Patrice just talking on any topic kills.
This was a great episode. Even Opie managed to get a laugh outta me with the "women are built to be robbed" comment. I luv how Patrice and Anthony just go in on Opie for like 20 minutes about his sweat pants. They were the real show, Ant, Patrice and Jimmy. Opie just interrupted the fun with pointless phone calls and took the role of "Captain Killjoy" very, very seriously
It's always sad on these when Patrice goes on about death and how he feels old and going to die soon. A great man gone too soon, sucks that his career was starting to really pick up at the end too. Wish we had gotten to see what else he would have done.
Patrice called the school shooters the trenchcoat mafia had me laughing hysterically for a minute straight, it's crazy how he says these funny shit like it's nothing. He was really the best man.
This really is a quality fucking Patrice episode; Longjeans, him dissecting Opie vs. Steve B. on his garbage pants, his Asian bit, and United Areas of America to cap it all off. Fuck is miss that man.
1:28:00- 1:45:00 Patrice is on point but 1:38:00-1:40:00 Patrice is literally dead-on with his ace fucking headshot-shotty insight! I get angry sometimes with his fucking racist, generalizing point of view but hearing this episode he fucking kills like 75 percent of the order!!! Rest in Peace, our bro. We all love and respect you so much, Patrice.
Oh! I'll find the time stamp. Patrice said blacks only said eff you and it counted once. Rosa parks. Wow! Very insight! Pbs indeed. This guy knew the word draconian. That's lawyer stuff!!! He was smart as shiet!!!!
A few years ago an old Chinese woman kicked me out of her Oriental spice and herbs shop. I literally had just said hello, and was going to ask if she stocked oolong tea, when she came from behind the counter with a broom and started sweeping at my feet, saying "Nohnohnoh, I noh cah hewp yuh!", til she'd backed me out of the front door, which she then slammed in my face. I don't know why someone would relocate to the other side of the world if they find the locals there so horrific.
