O&A with Patrice was some of the most entertaining media ever created. This guy was lightning in a bottle and this was the perfect platform for him. I go back to these videos all the time and I can say for certain I’ll continue to do so until my dying days (or as long as RU-vid remains a thing haha)

I like how you didn't include Opie in that statement. I really think Opie didn't add anything good to the show and more often than not would derail a good conversation Patrice and Anthony were having.

I appreciate that Patrice was never afraid to express his belief in God. Whatever nuances he held in regards to his concept of a higher power- he *was* a theist.

Opie is actually solid in this one. I've never said this about a single person, nor even briefly thought it, but becoming a weed guy could've possibly saved him at some point.
He's just pointing out how insignificant and short your life is compared to how established Earth is. A tree took 200 years to grow, and then fell, and then trees grew out of it for another hundred and they're all still there, and you are this tiny little body that's been around for a few decades maybe and you'll turn to dust and never have been of much consequence to anyone or anything
Until he got self conscious and jealous of ants relationship with the comics that came on the show. He got into his own head and fucked up the entire flow/feel of the show. Nopie episodes are a godsend post 2005.

I agree. Patrice was an intelligent guy but I think in his heart he knew there was something beyond himself...not sure if he ever put his trust in Christ since he had trouble with the trinity but who knows....If people want find God then come just come from a humble place...

I’ve noticed that Opie never really has his own original thoughts on these clips. He always chimes in 5min later to echo what Patrice or Anthony are saying, much like Chip.

EVs can run on renewable energy from renewable energy power plants. You'll never eliminate all losses or eliminate all "bad" energy in processes, but you can start. Can't end all pollution, either. Mining is still necessary for materials used in the power acquisition and the materials to build turbines. Still, if we could focus on energy consumption and conservation more, you use less energy. And then, we could switch the sources. And then we could be more frugal with acquisition of materials, maybe even recycling all of the e-waste, rather than trying to dump it. We can do a lot better than we do. Rather than just burn everything, we could build. The sun gives us virtually everything in terms of light and heat, and everything depending on those things, and then the Earth gives us the rest. It just has to be done in a thoughtful way.
yup and apparently it is gumming up small engines like lawn mowers and snow blowers. I have to buy an additive just to keep my small lawn equipment from gumming up all the time. Sucks.
