jody schuller Cosign. To add to your point, these women, in their misguided arrogance and sense of entitlement, came on this show and attempted to debate their points armed with no real logic, information or evidence other than their emotions. Patrice and Dante invested countless hours philosophizing, researching and applying their own real life experiences to their beliefs which in essence makes them experts. The arrogance of these women armed with nothing more than their opinion think they can debate Patrice the Great. Thats the equivalent of a novice in any arena challenging an expert based off the way they "feel". Due to this point, every women that came on the show had already lost any debate they engaged in because they never developed any real and objective thought to back their opinions. In their mind, the belief in being right was based purely on their emotions. That's why I felt, having the women on the show was a necessary evil because even when they were obviously wrong they would defend their point till the end rather than conceding defeat. I think a lot of guys could identify with that dynamic in their dealings with women and relationships. To sum it up I'm reminded of a quote from Patrice he said in an interview.: "You can have an opinion but don't let your opinion have you".
Patrice was a genius! I remember this episode; she was really dishonest. Patrice said this in another earlier episode, that men require little to be content in life; whereas women require a lot to be content, and rarely are. That's why a man's happiness comes first, because a man requires a lot of energy, creativity and endurance to consistently come up with ways he can satisfy his woman's mind. Fellas tend to think it's the other way round, not understanding that keeping a woman happy is a lifetime job.
Listening to these women try to make sense of what they're talking about shows and proves that men are more logical and women are more emotional; because these women didn't really know what they were talking about and they kept trying to re-inforce their own opinions with weird logic. In my house, my mother is the boss but not because she wants to, but because my father is kind of weak; but she HATES it. I agree with this dude %100.
Women think they want to be ahead of a man until they realize being in front is the most dangerous position because you are the most vulnerable to attack from all directions.
What you just said there is the key. Men need to protect/respect their brothers because the life of the family/(pride) is at stake. Take out the leader and the whole thing falls.
@Red---Paul Van Ravenswaay @innerpowerup Facts... a lot of people want to be the boss, until the boss responsibilities and problems start showing up!
The male lion has evolved to survive combat with other lions and hyenas. That's why they have a big mane - to protect their neck. But, the hidden cost is that it makes them more visible to prey. That is why you don't see male lions on the front lines when the pride hunts during the day. But, at night, they take names and kick ass.
Even Patrice said this, rest his soul, he isn't even good looking and he is still a boss. Most men look better than Patrice did in general. There is never an excuse to let a woman run over you. Work, personal, on the street, in the bedroom, EVER. Dominate them always
She apparently doesnt know the natures of Lions. The female lions hunt but the male is the first to eat. Also as soon as its a bigger target in the hunt, who comes to save the day because the female lions cant get the full kill. The lion who is much stronger, the male
THAT IS DEEP. If the lion dies the lioness can eat but can't fight off light attacking. If the lioness dies the lion has to get his own food now while already having to protect the pack.
If you're going to use the lioness analogy about hunting for food, I'd say I'd equate that to my grocery shopping. It's what I do in my family. Husband and kids eat because I "hunted" at the grocery story. lol.
It comes down to risk tolerance. Leadership requires taking risks and responsibility. If you are risk averse (99.999% of all younger women especially) you will hate it
Anyone else notice that the comments are full of hate filled teenage males? As I guy who has travelled around, fucked up more times then I can count and slept with a female or two along the way I can honestly say that at the least from MY experiences a lot of what Patrice says is true. That does not mean that you should take his word as gospel or start hating women. Patrice doesn't literally hate women, he's a comedian everything is exagerrated.
This is a random excerpt from a radio show, if you want to see true genius, watch "Elephant in the Room" but if you want a clip one of his top bits "Patrice O Neal - Cheating"
The lion is the BOSS, lioness are hunters, they're someway similar like to housewives who take care of the house, kids and food. A Lion protects the kingdom!
Patrice sums up HOURS and HOURS of research and serious work...Believe it or not Barbara Corcoran from Shark Tank, said the same thing....When making decisions, she asks herself " What would a Man do?" -
It kinda is. In the animal kingdom, a strong, healthy, virile male is more important than someone who also brings food. Male lions rarely hunt and the feast on the best parts, like the heart, after the lionesses have taken down a prey.
exactly - we can neither verify nor falsify the origin of our species. i agree the roles our sexes play do work purely on terms of reproduction, but i believe it has to do with humans becoming more liberal and pluralist as a society (especially western society). it's simply humans adapting to their environment.
@MDoggDX316 I was just about to say the same about the power bit. On the flip side its difficult not to be corrupted by power because once you have a fair degree of dominance (even if you earned it through credibility and respectful behavior) you immediately become the target for all the sheisty males (and females) in the room trying to bring you down through underhanded shit because they are jealous. So even if you would prefer to be polite and respectful leader you've got to be brutal.
You can't disprove it either so that puts at a crossroad. The point I'm pushing is that the system worked for thousands of years without failing, so why the hell did we change it.
the female lion may do most of the hunting the male lion still gets first dibs of the meat. So if we use that logic on humans. The woman would do the food shopping, cooking, and the men gets to just eat.
i concur, very logical points you make. however the main principles follow that insects, lions and humans alike all have one significant purpose - to biologically reproduce - and that is the point i'm illustrating is that the roles both sexes perform may be differing but in the end they are both needed for successful reproduction; it's just in some organisms males aren't necessarily needed.
(cont) Hermaphroditic roles are not synapomorphies, ie: not a shared derived character in our lineage, so I'm not sure where you're going with that. Um, hmm, it's interesting to note, intelligence/IQ is a trait passed through maternal lineage via the X chromosome, but of course there is also input from a male in terms of nurture. So, I guess you should thank Ma for that PhD math brain!
(cont) Also, your Y chromosome does very little. It mainly turns on 2ndary sex characteristics which makes you male. In females typically 1 X chromosome is "controlling" (that's a lonnnnng story) the functioning and traits. The other is made essentially inactive in somatic cells. It's turned into a Barr body. So hey, we're both essentially under the control of 1 X. See, not so disimilar. We all start out "female" (or some version of that) in the womb anyway ...
(cont) As she ages a trade off must be made in order for her to survive. They also speculate that it has something to do with child rearing in later years cause men tend to die earlier than females. As such it is beneficial to have these non reproductive women around. I don't know why you asked that question, but there, that's my thoughts on why ...
