I feel like Pat has missed the point concerning Passion & hobbies/pastime. Her explaining that she was bored and decided to create content and it made her happy, is actually her passion,and that’s what makes her money. Watching Netflix is a pastime and we all have various pastimes.
Great interview. I found Patricia on the Break and then her older channel. I am a money nerd and she is 100% correct, good habits and knowledge about money are the key factors but where you are born or live is huge. Sometimes you have to change where you are to change where you are going, immigration has been a huge driver of wealth because you can now have opportunities. In education, skills and even race or religion. Coming from rags literally to not having to think about money is all about putting the work in. I like your interview style and questions so new subscriber here!
I love what Patricia says about not necessarily following your passion. My family has been very passion minded (artists! Ugh!) and we were many times on the brink of eating our shoes out of having no money for anything. Patricia is very money minded, I love it. She is SO realistic. 'Most people do that'. Thanks Patricia. We don't all come from priviledged background where there is 100% a choice. I would just put forward two things about Patricia: 1/ her mother was a good example to her, I believe she comes from a down to earth, money minded family 2/ she is from London, that's a plus too. The first point regarding family is very important👍👍👍

Love Patricia and not saying this to throw shade or anything.. But it's very likely that she used a ghostwriter for her book. It's not unusual to do that.

I think of people of the same calibar as Micheal Jordan, Oprah...Beyonce, Gabby Union...etc Perhaps, the use of the word "empire" was just for clickbait....cause I am not sure what she sells. I walked into a sephora and saw Jackie aina's candle products, they are epic and are sold world wide. That could become a candle empire, I get that. What exactly does patricia bright sell/do? Wow! The past 2 months have been pivotal for me in terms of forging my mindset, aspirations and goals. Felt like this conversation was a full circle moment. Thank you Ali and Patricia.
I like how honest she is, most influencers aren't. Her advice is very constructive, she gives you the limitations to the means of success. And that hard work does not always equate success, there is a level luck that people need in order to become successful. She doesn't sell the illusion that everyone can be successful. I must say thanks to Ali for making this interview possible, you're literally the two influencers that I have outmost respect for. You both have emit integrity and sincerity in your content, I cannot help but tune in.
Incredible guest selection here - never heard of her and have been converted to a full fledged fan. and Ali's questioning (and probably prior research on the guest) has gotten much better over the course of these podcasts, love to see it!

It may be that on most weekends people don't spend time on their phones (instead they're with family, friends, church, life admin etc.) and so a video actually gets less views when released on a Sunday. I noticed this on my socials as well. Weekend posts got the least views. And Mondays got a LOT! [Just sharing my own opinion and experience anyways]
Agree 💯 I wish I could watch it like right now but I need to work 💼 if it was released on Saturday or Sunday when am not worried about work at all, I'd learn much better as there's no stress

A brilliant woman very interesting. The interviewer however repeats and rephrases what she says which is unnecessary because she's a very clear communicator. Also it's her interview so keep the focus on her views no need to validate her views with your own interpretations.

Being of age and how to manage the sequence of returns in those early periods is what seems quite scary in the current market. The market is never a loser in the twenty year cycle, but the 2000s decade scenario scares me and could really disrupt my retirement. When you're no longer accumulating but withdrawing, it's hard to be anything but cautious.

As someone who follows both of you and enjoys the content you are both producing, this was a very interesting collab to see. Some feedback- I would have been more engaged in the conversation if it was really focused on Patricia as the guest. As in, I am slightly less interested (in the instance of an interview) in hearing about Ali’s talking about his own business as I am hearing a deep dive into Patricia’s life story. For example, leaning more into what she has said and exploring something that was in her answer rather than immediately comparing to Ali’s life. She is a badass entrepreneur, and in this case I want to hear more about her. Thank you both for doing what you do, and providing value! This is all from a place of love, and trying to be helpful for future content. Cheers.
woah that's kinda harsh isn't it? i know ur less interested in what Ali went through but sometimes it is nice to see similarities when u can see yourself or recognise yourself in someone else, i don't think he was trying to dismiss what she went through, sometimes it's just nice to pick up on what other people did and then think how it relates to yourself. I don't think he would've invited her if he wasn't interested in what she had to say. It's nice for me as a viewer to hear from his perspective as well or else what's the point of filming all this and uploading it? he might as well just not invite her then if it's just her talking and he doesn't respond. If you listen to Steven Bartlett's "a diary of a ceo" podcast he does what Ali does too relate things to what he went through too his experiences it's what makes it interesting.
People confuse passion very often with something that is negative and unreachable which is not true at all. You can only be successful if you're passionate about something. You wouldn't be successful if you wouldn't be passionate about what you're doing. Many have visions but because they're not passionate enough about their vision they also don't have the drive to put the necessary work in order to make it happen and manifest in reality.
