That 1999-2002 generation is so incredibly small for having such a distinctive vibe. Like. We blend with the rest of those who are near but those four years. Especially 2000-2001 feel like there is something a little unique/specific that the others had slightly different

@@QuintonMurdock I think the defining feature of that micro-generation is that we remember a significant amount of time before the proliferation of modern smartphones (that is, smartphones with few buttons and large touch-screens, and the ability to access the full internet and not a stripped-down version), yet nearly everyone had a smartphone by the time we graduated from high school. This also coincided with high-performance laptops that could outpace the desktops from 5 years prior, which had an effect on the sonics of the generation. MacBook Pro was the instrument of choice for so many bedroom producers. And the fruits of this revolution were the hits of our middle-school years. We're also the last micro-generation to have significant memories of cassette tapes, tube TVs, and maybe dial-up internet. We're the generation of rapid technological changes, for better or worse. To me, I think that technological change is more defining of the Z-lennials than simply not remembering 9-11, which was still discussed frequently in our childhoods.

I'm 100% right there with you. I found it excessively overwhelming like not in a bad way at first, but DEFINITELY stressful. Stressful was an excellent way to put it. Almost like I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS SPLENDOR THAT SCORCHES MY SOUL - like gazing into the eyes of THE DEEP ONES @_@
