There's a place up in the Pennines (on the borderlands of Lancashire and West Yorkshire) close to a UFO zone called Mankinholes loosely translates to 'place of the little men in caves'. Todmorden, a very concentrated hub of high strangeness lies in the valley nearby and a huge obelisk, Stoodley Pike looms over the town high on a hill. This is supposedly a memorial to the end of the Napoleonic wars but I and many others suspect it's some kind of marker to communicate amongst certain 'brotherhoods' that special energies reside in the area as in other 'Pikes' Hartshead Pike near Oldham and Rivington Pike near Bolton both of which are also nodes of very strange activity. They too are, on the surface, mere memorials to historical events. Two could be coincidence, but three 'Pikes' being in paranormal hotzones is beyond happenstance. Thankyou for your fabulous shows Jo, you and Patrick have given a fascinating insight here for me.

There is a obelisk on top of Portsdown Hill overlooking Portsmouth, to mark the battle of Trafalgar, I've often questioned it's odd location isolated miles from the city itself and virtually unheard of.

I am from Co Cork originally. I totally believe in these wonderful beings. I believe they are inter-dimensional and slip so easily between here and there. I used to leave milk, honey, biscuits for "our friends" I heard laughter and giggling so many times in groves of trees with no clear explanation this was way back in the 70/80s. Wonderful video xxx

That was so interesting. I loved the conversation with this interesting man. I would llike to share something with you. I was walking my dogs along a road verge and picking up plastic rubbish as well. When I got back to my car which had been visible all the while I found an open tree cone which is the shape of a flower on the ground next to the car door. I knew straight away that it was a gift from nature or a nature being. It hadn’t been there when I left the car. I keep it safe and have never seen one like itagain. ❤️🙏🕊️🌲

Dear Jo, my family are also from county Cork in Ireland. I'm a fifth generation Australian sheep farmers. . Our Irish heritage does bring us the gift of the sight.

"They're not problems to be solved- they're mysteries to be entered into.." YES! I love this. The mystery is what makes them so endlessly intriguing! I sincerely believe that we're not _supposed_ to know everything. Life without mystery would be devoid of magic and inspiration....imagine how bored we'd be if suddenly every single mysterious thing in the universe was explained. There'd be nothing left to be curious about; no new discoveries t be made; nothing left to learn.... Anyhoo, this was a fantastic little chat. I found myself enthusiastically nodding my head in agreement with so much that Patrick said. I had not yet read his books, but now they are on the list! Thanks so much, Jo and Patrick!

As a young teenager I went on a school trip to the Island of Eigg and saw something that I have never shared with anybody even today. However, a few years later an old lady one day spoke to me in the voice that sounded like a twelve-year-old and descried what I saw and told me about what they will do if I get harm and she told me about everything that will occur in my life and it has. I have no idea why me, I’ve been blessed with extreme luck, fortune and I’m able to see future outcomes. Sounds crazy, but true.

The old lady told me that they are on either side of me and if someone harms me the only thing that the person who brought me harm would have is their teeth. I didn't understand it at time, but in the early 2000s I was playing soccer at a college and a guy purposely kicked me in the back of the leg during a game and cause my Achilles to rupture . It wasn't good for me, that's for sure. However, the next day the person who kicked me couldn't be found and this went on for a few days and then we got the word from the Dean that he was involved in a car crash and the only way they could identify him was from his teeth that was all that was left of him as his car burnt up in the crash and this is why no one knew his warabounts for days. Something similar happen in the 1990s too. Hard to believe, but true.

Hi Jo. I enjoyed your conversation with Patrick & 'thank you' for asking the question: What is a Daimon? I come to this subject as a complete novice. I've viewed a couple of posts, regarding fairies & other phenomena, & though I'm sympathetic towards the subject, I've yet to see a relevance for it to human activity on this earth. Of course, there could be the discussion on it demonstrating that there's more to this physical world/life than meets the eye. On a personal level, I have had no fairy type experience that I can share with anyone. My own background is in Spiritualism, which interestingly, Patrick told of his own mother being a medium. Although he also said his parents were Christians, which for me is a bit confusing as I don't see Christianity & Spiritualism as necessarily relating to one another. You also mentioned your interest in healing. I have a lovely story I could share regarding our cat who was healed Also you mentioned about 'sensing' other people's energy. My wife has refined this over many years as a Psychiatric Nurse Therapist. She would never share the 'secret' with her colleagues about her ability, as it would have caused serious problems. She was known affectionally, as "The Witch." Although now retired, she does voluntary work using her energy sensing, still helping people.. There is much more, of course, than these few words can convey. Thank you Jo, for this channel & I hope to make other comments in the future. ❤

Thank you. And I feel there is no limit to how people can interpret their own means of faith and combine it with other perspectives or faiths. I often meet people who are both pagan and Christian for instance or hold other seemingly contrasting faiths. It’s ‘whatever works for you is good’ 👌🏻🙂

Hi Jo. Thank you for your reply. I think you should know an hour after reading it. My wife, doing her weekly bed clothes change, used a new duvet cover I've not seen before. It was decorated with colourful Fly Agaric toad stools. A coincidence? On the strength of that, I expect to wake up in the middle of the night & see a smiling Goblin. Well done Jo your videos always have fantastic sound. The flair shooting up which Patrick describes seem like flickers we also saw in your guest Claire Casely's video which you posted five months ago. There were so many sparkly flickers that I time coded in my comment. I think people on the borderline of fringe groups turn to rituals etc. since the lockdown because they are going through a post-pandemic phase unless they had an actual supernatural experience. I think their interest is a comfort for them and may not be long-term compared to people like us who have had these experiences. It shows how the majority of society is too focused on material reality. The lockdown shifted people minds to delve deeper. Patrick describes these entities as shape shifting. They are probably the same entities in disguise we hear about in other cultures. I don't think most people see them in their true form. I think their true form is light. I also love the ancient aspects of alchemy. It opens many underlying layers of our human society and culture. Jung certainly talks about archetypes in our collective unconscious that we share with past, present and future humans. I think the neurological wirings of our brain and similar stimuli that we experience throughout our life also plays a significant role in these experiences or are the driving force or bridge to cross into the underworld.

Fascinating interview! I must get one of Patrick's books...and yours, Jo when it comes out! I am actually Irish on my father's side...I have always wondered whether the Celts are more in tune with this alternative reality than the "down-to-earth" Anglo-Saxons. The "Celtic fringe" of Britain (Cornwall, Devon, Wales, the Lake District, the Scottish Highlands) also seems to me to have a stronger faerie tradition...but that is just an impression.

We’ll the Anglo Saxons had their elves and we’re very in tune with the land and the Otherworldly beings that reside there too 🙂 In fact many of their traditional names are related to elves and nature…such as Elswyth which means ‘elf from under the willow tree’ - an adorable name!

I am from Devon, quarter Irish on my maternal grandmother's side too. I have had Faerie experiences in Devon. You are right about the "fairy faith", I live not far from the Gnome Reserve and a little village called Fairy Cross. My daughter had a Faery experience near Cork whilst we were on holiday. The Celtic fringes certainly draw you closer to the Other world.

I've seen fairy lights in north Devonshire once in a woodland environment lots of old twisted oak trees lot of moss everywhere i have some photos of the location but didn't manage to catch the lights because it was night time. Maybe it's a different phenomenon than fairy's lights willow wisps is probably the right word i believe. ive seen ufos too and silver orbs and a another time i had a daylight sighting of a huge pink translucent bubble very bizarre. With the silver orb though i got followed home i believe it was a ufo telemetry probe they eject them by ufos i believe they are everywhere if you start looking they reveal themselves but mostlythey remaininvisibleor cloakedin some way, i had 3 witnesses with me in the car. I used to go out whenever there was a clear night for years sky watching for UFO’s and started getting a special connection with lights in the sky but when i was followed home in a car by a silver orb that had internal lights spinning around inside it i frightened me to death and the people who were in the car with me were terrified because it parked directly above my flat roof, after that i stopped seeing the lights in the sky . Another time i was sky watching and seen a huge vector formation of ufo crafts they were way up in space if you've ever seen the cash landrum photos it was identical that was amazing. Im open minded to all being's. It's strange because brownies, fairy's or the little people etc followed English and Irish people to the new world, America, Canada, Nova Scotia. Or were they already there. The same phenomenon has happened in South America Mexico and many places in South America so are the thought forms or guardians that can attach to people or were they already there because native Americans talk about small people especially in far north Canada and alaska.

they are perceived with the third eye, they are not of this material realm...however it may be possible potentially to capture aspect their light manifestations (of their condensed energy) via a lens.

What makes you think cameras are able to capture them? Secondly, what makes you think if one person does have something filmed that they would share it or that it would go viral or on the news? My ring cameras have picked up strange things. Other than family members with whom I’ve shared it, I do not go to media outlets to broadcast it. There’s a plethora of reasons why not to. I assume countless others are just like me in not preferring attention which is often quite negative when it comes to things like this. There have been some people who have shared their camera’s anomaly. Some I’m certain are fake, but some seem genuine. If even I doubt, having experienced such things and knowing, what makes you think camera evidence is going to even prove anything? It’s the same argument towards Bigfoot and ufos. And there are videos and photographs out there but people dismiss them. Maybe rightfully so. With AI and photoshop we need to scrutinize the dickens out of all of what were shown.

I was spraying weed killer on nettles a few days ago and suddenly thought I wonder what the Fae think about this. It would not have crossed my mind before listening to your podcasts, but now I feel bad about putting this chemical down amongst the plants. Would fairies disapprove of killing any plants at all do you think? I was feeling similar when I was pruning trees, but I did ask the tree permission before lopping off a few branches. I used to be into Wicca and I seem to remember that Hedge Witches do this before taking cuttings.

I hear you. It sounds like you had some communion there with the nettles if you suddenly had the sense that you shouldn’t spray it? So maybe you can try connecting more and decode to work with the nettles in a different way. You will know of course that you can’t use those nettles for tea (even in future as the spray will continue to be toxic to whatever grows there for a good while yet) but you could look for another clump of young nettles that definitely haven’t been sprayed and dry them out for tea? Or collect a batch for soup? We ask our tree too before lopping and it is upsetting to me if someone goes ahead and chops without permission but that’s only because I’m now aware of it. Not everyone is, so it’s understandable. And tbh I do know some highly magical folk who continue to use ‘round up’ in their garden believe it or not! So, don’t beat yourself up about it and just see it as the start of a beautiful relationship between you and your nettles 😁💚

At 23:00, Patrick pivots from saying many people probably have these experiences even if they forget or suppress them, to saying to Jo, about older beliefs coming back, "is it really widespread, or is it just because you're plugged into a community which believes all this"? That seems to me to be a glaring contradiction.

Is it, though? Yes, lots of people have had strange experiences, but not all of them are convinced that it's anything to do with "older beliefs". Plenty of people are happy to shrug off those experiences as merely something odd and unexplained, and don't necessarily attribute them to any kind of belief system. They may think of their experiences occasionally, but tend to just get on with life. Then there are those who DO align their otherworldy experiences with a certain belief system, and if your main friend circles ( or people you work with etc) consist of _this_ type of person, then it would be easy to assume that people in general are collectively experiencing some kind of "awakening", when in reality it doesn't extend past a certain demographic. P.s. I'm certainly not trying to discredit the idea ( I WANT it to be true!) , but it can be very easy to make biased assumptions based on who we happen to be surrounded with. For instance, I happen to have nobody in my waking life who is remotely interested in otherworldly matters, so I see NO evidence whatsoever that people are opening up to old ways on a mass scale. Here on the internet is the only place I encounter the ones that ARE. And we _seem_ to be fairly sparsely spread across the planet in comparison to the more Materialist-Reductionist types.....sadly. But again, that's just MY personal experience.

true but I think people are waking up in other ways. Perhaps looking at their lives and wanting to change things they are not happy with (or at least beginning to recognise that) and also reaching out/enjoying nature more.

Good points, for sure. While it may not be in the numbers I'd like to see yet, there _is_ an undeniable "waking up" movement of sorts happening about the place. As you say, for some it's merely about reassessing their priorities in some way....and this is good to see. May the movement continue to grow in momentum! @@themodernfairysightingspod8421

I have been thinking about the meaning of a dogman encounter. People sound so absolutly terrified when they talk about them. For me the worst part is, that they never can enjoy nature ever again after they have seen a dogman. And now I am thinking about the meaning of encounters like that - but I have no idea. Can they stand for selfdeception? That people ignored a real danger in their normal life? Why do they feed on the fear of their victims? After a meeting like that, people seam so traumatized. I see no real sense in a encounter like that. Do you have any idea?
