based on record, individual stats and team results, hes the best playoff performer ever. the ONLY elite QB in history that numbers go up from reg season to playoffs. He raises his play when facing the best teams in the NFL. think about that
Facts. I have a good feeling about this year, too. Crazy to think about if not for Dee Ford and one bad play that it would be 6 straight bowls. And his rookie year is he losing to Mariota? Doubtful.
Just needs to get better Super Bowl numbers but that’s it. His only really great Super Bowl was the one against the Eagles. This previous one was good but that unnecessary INT taints it for me
@@henrystreet6152 1 int bro? Lol now def 2019 and 20 were not good but the dude had 1 int in the last one im not sure how that taints the performance he had in totality. And to be honest he had the lesser complete team in all 4 SBs and all 4 had top tier defenses. For example if u go back and check out joe montanas 4 SB he had stacked teams all 4 times with better offenses and defenses than 3 of his opponents
@@dominicharris5489 ok I can bend and say this last one was also great but I just overall want the numbers to look better in total because the first two were pretty bad. Hopefully those are the only two bad performances in the Super Bowl he’ll have for the remainder of his career. I want him to light the league on fire this year and put up big numbers next Super Bowl but the games obviously have to be played. We’ll see what happens
@@johnporkthe3rd51ah yes, somehow people want to bandwagon the chiefs, a small market team from the midwest with the most hated qb and te in football on it lmao. You’re living in delusion if you think most chiefs fans are bandwagons. Noboyd gave a shit about kc at ALL even when they won their first sb let alone their second. Only the swifties willingly chose to bandwagon kc. What a dumbass 😂
Sammy Watkins and Marquez Valdez-Scantling: regular season liabilities, post season legends. criticisms well deserved, but we owe those guys a ton of credit for helping establish this dynasty.
This man's POST season highlights are better than what some players get at all in their career ever. This guy magically elevates his play when he needs to. I always found it funny that Nick Bosa always complained about the Chiefs holding him, but on some of the biggest plays he was left unblocked as the read key on an option play. I counted at least 8 times where he took himself out of a play because he over pursued.
True that Kelce is the favorite target, but Mahomes made late career Watkins, Smith-Schuster, MVS, Justin Watson, and Mecole Hardman look really good. That's his real talent.
True; true, Travis Kelce is a 1st ballot hall of famer....Mahomes' Job would much more difficult without Kelce! Kelce compliments Patrick! They need to pay Kelce a lot more! If course everybody knows how great Mahomes already has been For 7'years...Mahomes is the most feared player to his opponents in the league...that's why they pay him soooo much money.
Mahomes is truly 1 of 1!! I'm so thankful the chiefs have him as our quarterback, quite a few years of heartache and let down!! finally it's the chiefs turn to dominate and have a dynasty run in the making!!
The craziest part is looking back at that first Super Bowl run, they still had Kelce and Hill at their peak powers, but it was Sammy Watkins and Damien Williams who were in most of the highlights. I get that Hill and Kelce were likely doubled the entire time, but it's still nice to look back and remember how effective Watkins and Williams were for Mahomes during that run.
I've been born and raised as a Chiefs fan all 30 years of my life can remember every season from 2002 to present been to many games but I'm forever grateful that the glory years of Chiefs football is happening in my lifetime I remember growing up in middle school through highschool watching Brady win all the time with New England and wondering man I hope someday us Chiefs fans can experience something like this took awhile but here we are that 13 seconds game still blows my mind anytime I watch highlights
@@gagemcpherson1956 you are right! I can not deny that the kC chiefs are on top, and you guys may even go back to the Superbowl. You might even win again!
Mahomes has played 6 seasons and his playoff highlights video is over an hour long. That's insane. He's not even to the half way mark of his career and he's got more highlights than most QB's ever will...
Patrick Mahomes already has 4 career playoff games with multiple passing touchdowns and no sacks or turnovers, while nobody else has more than 2. The four players with 2 are Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, and Joe Montana. He has never lost a playoff game that wasn't the Super Bowl in regulation. There's just no one like him.
Prior to SB 58, in the 17 playoff games he had played up until that point, Mahomes had A record of 14-3 4802 passing yards 39 TDs 7 INTs This madman's postseason play could've counted for its own damn MVP season 😂 Not to mention that, by definition, all of these games were against playoff-caliber teams
Obviously that's the equivalent to a full regular season. Those numbers really show how GREAT he has been in the post season. NO OTHER QB has numbers that compare to that. NO ONE.
I think one of my biggest takeaways after putting this together, is how much Mahomes separates himself from the Mannings and Brady's of the world when it comes to his ability to use his legs. He's not known for it in the regular season, but that dude will do everything but slide in the postseason. This man just puts the team on his back when nothing else is open, and highlights ensue. Game speed and sky high IQ are obvious to see here. Not to mention, the passing stats are far superior to past legends as well. Don't be the dude that has to tell your grandkids you were hating at the time. Just sit back, relax, and enjoy every second. If I know anything, I know that Chiefs football will be ruined once he hangs it up.
Yep. Mahomes knows that he needs to avoid taking hits in the regular season to save himself for the post season. Once the playoffs start, it's do or die, so he starts to play like it. That's why he's willing to run and take the hits that he doesn't in the regular season.
It looks like Pat is playing 3 sports on one field. Sidearm baseball gun outs, basketball ball fakes, and running through defenders. He is definitely a baller.
Brady- 7.6 avg, 1 TD, 2 INT (should have been 3, including the game loser) 77 rating. Mahomes- 9.5 avg, 3 TD, 0 INT, 117 rating. Mahomes drastically outplayed Brady. Pats had the ball for 44 minutes. Chiefs had it for 21. 48 times the Pats ran the ball compared to 12 for the Chiefs. Pats picked up 15 rushing first downs compared to the chiefs 3. 94 plays to 47. By far the most frustrating game I've ever been to. Still depressed about it. My buddy always says if we would have carried Bob Sutton to a SB that there's a chance that he wouldn't have been fired, resulting in no Spags. Still, Tom bailed out by defense and running backs AGAIN. Luckiest NFL football player of all time and it's not even close.
The guy had FOUR 3 INT games in the playoffs and won 3 of them. 4-3 in 2 INT games (Chiefs AFC champ. being one of them). 40 INTs in 48 games played smdh. 2.2 TD per interception. Mahomes has played 18 so far, he has 8 INTs. 5.13 TD per int. They're not the same.
I feel like our Kansas City Chiefs got the biggest blessing (I don't mean spiritual) I could have ever imagined in my lifetime. Hill was a freak of nature and Kelce is a monster. Then with Mahomes you get to actual see how good Travis Kelce really is. I'm 47 and grew up in Grandview Missouri, so I always pissed off at Marty Schottenheimer. Someone please wipe them years from my memory.
@mackindle12345 Romo said it, too. He had to get it out and brace for contact. A freakin dart. One of my favorite throws that he's ever made as well. Considering the situation as well... you might be right.
Imagine your worst team performance in recent memory being a damn superbowl against THE Comeback Kid. What an absolute nightmare this team is for the rest of the league. ❤
Thank you for showing the hgihlights of the bucs superbowl of all the drops our receivers had smh, tyreek dropping multiple, kelce dropping one and mahomes did everything he could with no o line and people will hold this over mahomes his whole career that he lost to tom smh, in the regular season healthy rosters mahomes whooped brady multiple times and in the playoffs the team sells him, dee ford in 2018 and our o line being injured in 2020😭
@alexbebout6931 Patrick vs Tom: Spoiler alert, it's not even close. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-83jBkqKk-sw.htmlsi=cj5Alo68XEaf6nVU Brady will forever be in debt to Dee Ford. That ended the game, smdh.
When he played his 18th career playoff game, he was 28 years and 147 days old. Here's how old the other 14 quarterbacks to play 18 or more playoff games were on the day of their 18th. Terry Bradshaw: 31 years, 140 days Tom Brady: 32 years, 160 days Peyton Manning: 33 years, 320 days Danny White: 33 years, 329 days (also a punter who overlapped some with Staubach) Brett Favre: 34 years, 86 days Joe Montana: 34 years, 215 days Ben Roethlisberger: 34 years, 312 days Steve Young: 35 years, 85 days (rode the bench with Montana for his first few seasons with the 49ers) Aaron Rodgers: 36 years, 41 days Roger Staubach: 36 years, 336 days John Elway: 37 years, 197 days Dan Marino: 38 years, 122 days Drew Brees: 42 years, 2 days George Blanda: 47 years, 103 days (also a kicker; didn't throw a pass in the playoffs after age 43) And here's how old the three quarterbacks to collect 15 playoff wins were on the day of their 15th. Patrick Mahomes: 28 years, 147 days Tom Brady: 34 years, 164 days Joe Montana: 37 years, 211 days What Mahomes is doing is completely unprecedented. God only knows whether he can sustain it once Kelce, Reid, and Spags retire.
@scooterjohnson9440 Wiley will be the next Kelce. Book it. And he gets to learn from Kelce for the next two years. Patrick only had Alex for one. Trav said he's already learning spacing and to go to where the defense isn't, not necessarily doing a by the book route. Andy has 5 left, so I don't even want to think about that one, yet 🤦♂️Wiley used to be a QB JUST like Travis, plus he's even bigger than Trav. I hope he is what I think he's gonna be. Bigger impact than X most likely. We'll see how 12 personnel is looking here in a bit 😏
I think it's hilarious how the same basic play gets used over and over and over and over and over again to such efficiency, it's really the talent of the receivers, tights ends, and running backs with the blockers to run the the play to it's fullest efficiency and watch it come to fruition. It's fun to watch it fluororish (that was a rough word, I'm enlightened, lol)
Bro like as a ravens fan, like you wanna talk shit about mahomes. But like no matter how much shit you talk, mahomes always wins. Like in every Super Bowl he’s even been to, his team has trailed by 10 points in all of them. He won 3 out of 4 games. And those wins were to teams that were tue best on the nfc side. Dude is unreal
Like I remember earlier this season when the chiefs were struggling and they were 8-5 and they just lost a bad game to the bills. When I went on TikTok later that day, everyone was talking shit about mahomes. They were all calling him a crybaby and an overrated qb. What does he proceed to do? Win the Super Bowl. Dude is insanely good.
@@OriolesWS2024That’s why kc is so hard to beat. They have played the most games in the nfl since 2018 and have battled back through so many games in the playoffs. Lamar has now experienced heavy adversity against the chiefs so how he responds to what happened in the playoffs will determine how far he goes moving forward
Looking back at people asking if Mahomes would be as good without Tyreek Hill and if you told them “well it’s 2024 and Mahomes hasn’t lost a playoff game since Tyreek left and has two more rings,” they’d have laughed in your face.
I'm a Pats fan and that 2018 AFC title game in Arrowhead is probably always gonna be my favorite from Mahomes. The best I've ever seen any QB play in that second half against Bill's defense. He was absolutely sensational and it was the first real taste of the next big QB in NFL history.
Talking about his pocket awareness and extending plays, his days at Texas Tech with that porous O line made him. Remember all the analysts trying to downplay how great he was. Yeah, but can he do that in the NFL? He made them all look stupid. Veach another. Pretty much broke the internet with the Tyreek trade. Kareem Hunt, Damien Williams, Sammy Watkins, Tyreek Hill, Mike Danna, L'Jarius Sneed. All gone.
I'm still extremely pissed at Kareem. All he had to do was go back in his room and chill tf out. Chiefs would have won the game against the Pats. Pats held the ball all game. Danna still here though. Very underrated player.
Brady fans are scared and we all know it. Mahomes will surpass all records, including rings. The Mahomes era Chiefs will be the most prolific team that will ever be. Brady's Patriots will be second.
@brandonprice1301 I do believe that when he's finished, Brady will be an afterthought. I don't know about 7... as a die-hard Chiefs fan, God, I can only hope.
I Just recently noticed the strength and relative speed of kelce...theyre gonna have to keep him healthy....plus, hes huge at 6'5"....i dont think that i wanna try him.😅
The haters don't want to categorize him as a TE, even though that's precisely what he was when he started his career. An inline TE w/ Anthony Fasano. Andy figured out ways to utilize him and now he's had more playoff receptions than Jerry Rice. About to break his yardage record and his TD record this year I bet in far less games. George Kittle (the "true" TE that they want Kelce to be more like) has 33 catches for 455 yards and 2 TD in 12 games in the playoffs. Travis has 165 catches for 1,903 yards and 19 TD in 22 games 🤣🤣🤣 He separates himself so far from his peers and honestly every TE in history. It's not even close. So they don't want to call him a TE? How bout most dangerous postseason pass catcher in NFL history. I think that suffices.
Dude, you have to know the difference between Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas. Though the Chiefs represent the area, the Superbowl trophies come home to Missouri, not Kansas!
that number 51 on the browns at 20:57 should have been ejected for hanging on to mahomes' helmet like that during the tackle. you can see if you watch it slow motion he lets go after they roll a bit on the ground like hes so innocent. that garbage doesnt belong in the sport. nothing wrong with a hard tackle but that tackle there was intended to cause injury.
