Parsons and Tyreek above Allen is bold, and completely correct. Tyreek Hill should get votes if he can hit 2000 yards receiving. The football community has got to stop acting like, given that we all agree QB is the most impactful position in the sport, that "pass catcher" isn't by definition the 2nd most important. Tyreek being there has completely transformed the Dolphins offense, elevating Tua and Waddle as Nick pointed out. PS - Can you tell I'm an angry Ravens fan? Lol.

The reason the eagles are never trailing in the second half is because hurts is so safe with the ball and efficient in the redzone, if eagles are 1 seed and hurts plays at his pace he will be mvp he’s on pace for 40 touchdowns with 5-6 turnovers

Keep in mind that Chiefs played the toughest opening schedule in NFL history (based on wins from the previous year). Eagles has had a fairly soft schedule and their roster is loaded.

Well yeah I would agree to an extent that the argument you highlight is one of the better ones for evaluating an MVP candidate. (Edit: I probably should've said it's a good starting/opening argument ... though not necessarily one of the best for filtering after that point) Only to an extent though because there are many better indicators/ stats for determining value for a team. But you're right I think anyone who simly dismisses a claim for MVP based on your team's record when you play vs when you don't (or like your +/- for basketball ... etc) without any further discussion... that's just not right

The Tua stat is interesting (6-0 when he plays 0-3 when he didn’t) but if you took away most teams starting QBs you’d get similar results. Patrick Mahomes for example. I don’t know if the Chiefs win a single game if Mahomes isn’t the starter vs the backup.

@@Hibbidyhai well, the stat they mention for Tua is that he starts and finishes a game, not just plays ... Technically any blowout for most teams they sit their QB1 for the final drive or more. Chiefs have done that this year and multiple times in the past few years and their record in those games in whatever-and-zero ... because they're blowouts So games Mahomes starts and finishes, he may actually have a worse record than if he doesn't start and finish the game. (I have no idea if that's true ... just estimating) Well Mahomes may not be the best example because the chiefs have been so good since he's been a starter ... but do you see what I'm saying?

He's a part of that but lack of turnovers is a unit accomplishment. It's also very dangerous to compare a win against a team several months ago vs that team currently. The Vikings is a good win... but the Vikings aren't the same team as they were in Week 1. Eagles are playing very good TEAM football right now. However acting like Hurts middle of the road QB numbers are the sole reason for that is disingenuous at best and they are definitely not MVP numbers.... sorry.

Most valuable player.... Without Tyreek nothing going on. McDaniels and hill open this offense to an elite level where he makes every one else open and easier. And still gets his yards and is on pace to annihilate rec yard record. To me he established hands and that he's the guy a true number 1 that can play and line up anywhere and make plays. Having Hurts that low is criminal. He's legitimately one of the best decision makers in the league. He runs the Eagles RPO offense almost perfectly. If you know anything about the Eagles offense you know how impressive that is. He's the biggest reason the team is undefeated. He's shouldn't be penalized for not trailing in the second half or because he's got a good roster around him.

Nick refusal to admit he’s possibly wrong about Tua is cringe. 6-0 full games with tua, 0-3 without including, like Chris said, huge games from Hill. Tua is like Steph, Hill is KD from 2016-19 Warriors. KD was the better player but Steph was the more valuable player

They refuse to give him weapons? We have Mark Andrews coming back and Duvernay and Proche were fine in the Saints game where we dominated. Not to mention Desean Jackson having some nice catches in his first start. Could it be better? Yes but do I think we'll be fine once we're completely healthy besides Bateman? Yes

Did the Dolphins win very much without Tua? Did Tyreek Hill matter when Tua was out? Jalen Hurts has shredded some pretty good defenses. Cousins and Jefferson both deserve to be on there instead of Geno. Cousins deserves to be there over Josh Allen tbh

I like Tua but Hill might have 200 more yards if he wasn't under thrown as much. Maybe it's the left hand delivery but you know how many picks Deon would have against him
