I watched Superbowl IV as a Chiefs fan as an 8 year old. I remember December 25th, 1971. The longest game in NFL history and KC losing in double overtime. I cried. The last game before the move to Arrowhead. I waited 50 years. So many friends have died. I really really thought my eyes would never see the Chiefs IN a Superbowl!!! Mich less win the Superbowl!!!! As I type this, I am watching this video at 5am the Sunday before Superbowl LV Chiefs-Bucs. I am dreaming and dreaming about another Superbowl win for my Chiefs. This is a great GREAT video. Thanks.
My husband, a lifelong Chiefs fan like me, lost his battle with depression and PTSD and became one of the 22 to many US Veterans who took their own life Dec 9th 2017. And I wish so much that I could have seen him watch the Chiefs play ever since then.
Mahomes has never lost a game by more than 8 points. Let that sink in. He gives his team a chance to win in every game, he never gets blown out. He’s a special athlete. Its safe to say he is the best player in football.
@@kendalllol4325 FOH wit that Bullshit... It was many time's his defense played well at Texas Tech and he couldn't generate enough point's to give them a chance to win. Mahomes is a SPECIAL talent no denying that fact. But you just told a flat out LIE!!!
I’ve grown up a Patriots fan and for years it has been great, but that 2018 AFC Championship was the passing of the torch it seemed in the AFC and the face of the NFL. A new era is being born in KC and the rest of the league is going in that direction. So excited to see how it develops and I will support Mahomes cause that man is an absolute animal. Reminds me of playing football in middle school the type of athletic ability he has displayed over his short career.
That wasn't the passing of the torch. It was mutual respect. Brady knew he was gonna be the future ONCE he finished his career. There ain't ever gonna be no passing of the torch because every time Brady decides to stick around for 1 more year he is granted the opportunity to extend his legacy and all the negativity gets washed because he's still doing what nobody else has ever done. In that one game Brady had respect after and that's the truth. Thats why he smoked him in the supwerbowl on his first year with a new team, new coach, new offense, in the year where there wasn't any preseason to prepare for. He respect Mahomes so much he showed up to the Super Bowl in horrible circumstances.... then he took the lead (which all of his previous super bowl wins he has had to make a comeback bar the rams) because people were hyping up Mahomes comeback stories. He held out the torch and nobody took it from him and if Mahomes made the comeback it was retirement. Instead its another Super Bowl Mahomes has to get to even his stats with the legacy of Brady. It's gonna be a "well did mahomes ever win a Super Bowl on a new team in the 1st year with no preseason? because Brady did that when he was 43 against mahomes" tldr Brady the goat and it's a far fetched idea that anybody would be able to beat him as far as the goat status. Mahomes gonna be remembered as the best ever quarterback skill wise but he's gonna have to really put that skill to the test if he wants to be goat. aint no way Brady wants that taken from him either I legit think that's the only reason he's around
Jake Morgan I agree. As an audio engineer, I wish he’d use a gate in ducking mode so dialogue is clear over the BG music. Dennis Mitchell’s comment ^ perfectly addresses the issue from a layman’s perspective.
Amazing video! Made me cry like a baby. I was born and raised in KC and now I'm raising my kids in KC. To win that super bowl was undescribable. Taking my kids to the parade was amazing. I'm just so glad Patrick Mahomes is ony team.
It feels good to finally get over the hump. We've had great offenses...We've had great defenses... We've had Both with an "okay" QB .... We deserve this time. He's the perfect fit for our City and Team. Not taking anything from anybody else but this didn't happen over night. So to all ANYBODY who got a problem with OUR QB getting praise... can eat one! This year's demon to slay is PITTSBURGH....leggo!
Lived in KC for many years. Been a Chiefs fan since 89. I'm glad KC has Mahomes and some other team don't have him. We are witnessing NFL history . Run it back . Are you excited Chiefs kingdom?
I gotta say; when the Chiefs lose a game in Mahomes era every single one is absolutely among the top 10 games of that year, except maybe 2018 colts loss.
The voice of the Chiefs Mitch Holthus had an amazing call at the end of the AFC Championship game against the Titans, "Lamar Hunt's team has just won Lamar Hunt's trophy in the stadium that was Lamar Hunt's dream," and it just gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
Mahomes is the chosen one. We in Kansas City have been waiting a very long time for a Super Bowl quarterback, and hopefully from the draft, to take us all the way. If you're not from KC or don't live here, you might not understand just how big of a hero he is here
Lifelong Chiefs fan. Stood and watched and caught shit at school as a kid when we were 12-2 about loving the worst team there was. It was hard. Then it all came together. Couldn't be more proud of my Chiefs! Let's go again!!!! To whoever made up this video, awesome job! Way to put every bit of our struggle into perspective.
@Tcs 10s nah not yet. Machines is overrated rn and if he ever does become the better quarterback of all time over Brady, it definitely won’t be for a while
My son works for the Chiefs, and I became a fan for that reason. When my other son points out that it's easy to root for them because they win so much, and they have Mahomes, I just smile and say, "Well, there is that." Hope they go to 10 more Super Bowls and win every one!
Mahomes in 2018 made it to the afc championship and lost because a offside penalty on defense and now in 2019 he won the super bowl... And it’s his 4th year! And won MVP
This young man brings many good things to the game of football. Could he be a modern day Robin Hood (for the good of exciting game play and using all the talents of his team). Being different from other QB's is very good for the KC Chiefs! ( I am a diehard Tom Brady fan, but this young man will win a few Super Bowls before he retires.)
The mix of heart-breaking losses with the SF-KC Superbowl, really showed the struggle that built the amazing Chiefs. It won't last forever, it never does, but for now, enjoy Mahomes and the Chiefs... unless you are in Denver, Las Vegas, or San Diego... or pretty much any other NFL city. Great video, subd.
This video is incredible! I have watched this video 4 whole times and ever time I watch, it gets better. If i had one word to describe this video it is (a) Masterpiece.
Amazing video! Made me cry like a baby. I was born and raised in KC and now I'm raising my kids in KC. To win that super bowl was undescribable. Taking my kids to the parade was amazing. I'm just so glad Patrick Mahomes is ony team.
Especially due to quarantine this year I’ve watched countless highlight videos of my favorite player, Patrick Mahomes. However, your video is among the very best I’ve seen from a pure quality perspective. The editing, the musical transitions, the flow of story and even the small sound effects when someone catches a ball or jimmy G. gets sacked. This is more than your typical highlight video, this is art. I’m absolutely floored by what I watched and how you lovingly crafted it all together. It was a real treat! Thank you for all your hard work :)
Absolutely breathtaking and by far the best video I’ve ever seen in my life

The only other player and team to have this much confidence this early and unselfish talent is the Steph Curry and Golden State Warriors. Bruh, This video production was truly a piece of art. totally amazing. I had to check if it was part of NFL films, then I watched it more and now realize this is on another level beyond NFL films.
My and my 2 older brothers has been Chiefs fans since we come to Kansas City straight from Guam. I lost one of my brothers back in 2018 and let me tell ya. To witness the Chiefs win the SB and and after watching this video. It got me straight in my feels. Chiefs are still the champs. Keep it up yo💯💪🏼
Great video! Love how people revolution from not good enough to possibly the best like Chris Carter and Shannon Sharp. The challenges and feelings of loosing a big game to winning the big game. With the each challenge, where there's a will, there's a way and Pat was all the Elway, Farv, Rogers, Manning into one yet so young. I am a Bronco fan, but love Patrick Mahomes. Good kid from start when I heard during an interview, "I'm gonna make mistakes, but I need to do everything in my power to minimize those mistakes to make me a better person to help us win." That phrase won my heart.
The best editing of Superbowl 54 I've ever seen! ...and I've seen them all these past few months during quarantine because I have absolutely no life!! GO KANSAS CITY CHIEFS!!! (29 year K.C. fan) :)
This video.....wow! Really well put together. I wasn't looking for this right now and sat and watched the while thing. It made me a little misty just like that night, SB LIV 2/2/2020. I think we'll have a lot more great moments, but we'll never forget these. That's my quarterback.
Chiefs @ Rams 2018 is my favorite game since the 1981 Chargers @ Dolphins. Just imagine if that had been a Super Bowl matchup as well. Instead of lowest rated SB it would’ve been highest.
Wow! I still hurt watching the loss to the Patriots in the AFC Championship. As a KC homer born and bred....we still are adjusting to the realization of having a generational talent. Our media struggles with the transition of covering a perpetual loser for decades, to covering what many consider ....well considering this. It's hard to put into words....other than "thank God he's on our team" Great Video!!!
This kid really is phenomenal. After his next game, he will pass 1,500 pass attempts, making him officially the career passer rating leader by a mile at 110.3 with a better than 5 to 1 touchdown to interception ratio which buries even Rodgers! (103-20) That is ludicrous. Fastest to 10,000 yards and to 100 TDs. If he stays healthy, he will own all records by the time he is done. He is as transcendent an athlete as Jordan.
What a fabulous video. Really told the story of what makes Mahimes and KC so great. They never fold. When the pressure comes, they step up. Great music, too. Look forward to more.
