Patrick Rondat - Rape of the Earth (Full Album) - 1991

Patrick rondat con questo album ha scritto una delle più belle composizioni metal di sempre. Penso che sia uno dei migliori chitarristi metal di sempre. Dopo aver ascoltato questo album la mi vita è cambiata. Per me numero 1. Grazie maestro Rondat!!

Funny story, i was lying in a hospital after sergery in the middle of the night in Holland. Was in pain and could not sleap. I put on my hospital headphones and the radio was on there. Playing was the first song of this album Patrick Rondat. Almost fell out off bed looking for a pencil to write down his name. I didn't heal me then but when I was I rushed to the record store. There was never rock on the radio, n ever French and never guitarmusic but it was that night.

1985-1990 are the golden age of guitar virtuosos. They're make bunch of great guitar instrument oriented albums. We can say from Alex Masi till Yngwie J Malmsteen. Miss that era so much.

Son meilleur album, le son est niquel, puissant et clair, gros progrès par rapport au premier album Et il est vraiment bien écrit, l'ajout de synthés donne un côté plus planant aux morceaux

L album Parfait ,je l ai écouter des centaines de fois . Une ambiance ,un son ,des compositions ,Dans mon chemin de Guitariste ,il a était une révélation . In the beginning of the nineties I heard a rock number on the Dutch radio in a show from Tom Blomberg and taped it on cassette. Fifteen years ago I threw away all my casettes. But in 2015 I wondered what this beautiful rocknumber was that I liked in my early twenties. I used the online files from the hitparades, I searched Spotify, I used Google but since I didn't know the name exactly after three years I hadn't found anything. I even contacted Tom Blomberg with my question, and he used his network, but alas. But on the Dutch Radio10 we have Gerard Ekdom as Doctor Pop, and he knows a lot of songs by heart. So I had written an e-mail with my search and how the song sounded like. But just before I sent that e-mail, I thought: What if his name doesn't start with "rho" but with "ro" without the H? And thàt is when I fount "Barbarians at the gate"! I'm 50 now, not really int rock anymore, but still like this one!

Un album que j'ai beaucoup écouté et apprécié à l'époque. Il y a de magnifiques parties mélodiques , par contre les passages où il se contente de jouer des gammes en aller retour, c'est chiant à écouter et lassant
