I still imagine her sitting at that bar waiting for him! I made up a fake end credit to Picard with her just silhouetted watching a sunset with a drink in her hand as the credits roll (but I got sidetracked with real life and couldn't finish it)
Hilarious. Just one of the many loose threads from the series. She went from soul-mate to sole mate. He’s out partying with the old gang and she’s at home in France deep into the wine-cellar. Sometimes the Star Trek writers just do something into the bed that’s not very nice.
To be realistic, if Stewart is less finished with the role than he thought, it is better to act sooner than later. As long as it is possible since nobody is immortal and the movies lost many actors during filming already. Starting in some few years from today might be a little late already. I'm glad Stewart thinks this way though everyone needs to act now, precise and with the most care to the product as possible. It's time to deal with a legend before it becomes a legacy
I remember reading an interview not long ago where Frakes said he'd love to be an executive producer on whatever Star Trek Legacy happens to be, and I am here for that. Some folks I know say they want him to be the showrunner.
In the early 2000s I got to work with and become friends with Patrick Stewart. It was with him I saw the exhaustion of an actual person being confused with a character they play. In particular an ambush encounter. We had a guy show up to the stage door in full Klingon garb and his translator, they were demanding the presence of Captain Picard. Our front desk person informed him that Captain Picard is on television and the actor who plays Captain Picard is playing an unrelated character named “George” and the Klingon apologized in English and left.
when internet forums were still a thing someone said that during a press conference/interview for a movie or play he was doing at that time while stewart was talking somebody in the audience exclaimed, "Tea:! Earl Gray! Hot!" they said the scowl on stewart's face was undeniable 😂
I am happy genuinely how Picard concluded and i feel we as a fanbase need something that has a strong story which may fill our hearts with a sense of wonder. Perhaps that option would involve the species who created the whale probe involving the new crew of the Enterprise G. Happy 2024 all.
The thing to remember is Patrick Stewart is in his mid-80's now. So unless they get this moving soon he might not be available. Think how long it's been since the last next generation film.
Beyond was the closest we ever got to a Trek episode on the big screen (ALL 13) ... and not to mention the BEST of the Kelvin-verse. Pairing Spock with McCoy ALONE for half the film, was SPOT-ON writing by Simon Pegg. "What's your favorite color?" ... "AAAAAAAAA!!!!" 🤣
I love Patrick Steward. Jean-Luc Picard was my hero growing up, and he seems like a genuinely nice man. I bought his autobiography months ahead of its release. HOWEVER. Given how much of the disastrous seasons 1 and 2 come down to choices that he made or helped make... well... I think it's fair to be a little worried about what's coming.
Clearly we need a final showdown with Picard's greatest nemesis and, hands down, the best character ever written in perhaps all of TV and film... GROPPLER ZORN!
I've always longed for a series that takes place at Starfleet Command. It could focus on the institution, politics, threats to the Federation, the admirals running it, diplomacy with other alien races etc. Similar to DS9 it would be mostly stationary on Earth or star bases, though admirals would certainly occasionally visit deployed ships. Also, various star ships regularly report and visit Starfleet Command, making it easy to develop stories. I could imagine a few specials (or at least cameos) with Admiral Picard or Admirals Ricker etc.
Am I the only one who doesn't want this? Picard and the TNG crew have had THREE finales already. Three goodbyes. Three sendoffs. Enough already! A big part of the magic that made TNG so great is that it wasn't a rehash of TOS, nor was it a show about Kirk's son or Spock's daughter. It was a fresh new show, in a new era, with NEW (and very different) characters. Nowadays, studios are absolutely terrified of doing anything that isn't a reboot or rehash or bringing back old, familiar characters. Picard and the TNG crew finally got a satisfying sendoff in the S3 finale of Picard. LET IT BE.
I’d like a follow-up on whoever or whatever created that transwarp conduit at the end of Picard Season 2. Feel like that could make for a good starting point for a Kelvin crossover.
A story about what the Enterprise D was doing in the gap year (gap year stated Picard S3 final episode) when the Fleet was getting back on its feet prior to her being retired in the Fleet Museum would be amazing.
@@darryljames0111I would have to disagree, although it was interesting to see the changelings return it was mostly throwbacks to TNG rather than continuing with the more original feel and approach of the first 2 seasons. It even left massive plotholes resulting from ignoring continuity laid down previously. Weakest of the 3 seasons.
I think Q should come back who wasn't dying and fixes the nonsense that happened in season 2. I also think there should be a Son of Mogh movie that tells the story about what happened on Khitomer, then jumps to the present where Alexander is kidnapped or his life has been threatened by Toral son of Duras who wants revenge on Worf for his father's demise.
@@VuotoPneumaNN Worf killed an adult Toral on an episode of Deep Space Nine. I can't remember specifically when Alexander died, but I remember it being mentioned.
I'd love a thriller/detective story involving Seven and Picard. Something goes wrong with a diplomatic mission on the EntG and Seven is put under court martial but Picard knows this was sabotage by an old enemy. Have Jack and Raffi be the ones doing the action while Picard and Seven do the court scenes
I'd want to see the return of The Sisko. Could be onboard the Enterprise G (serving as more of a second backdoor pilot for ST:Legacy) and could easily feature Janeway (pretty easy to make a natural feeling connection since Seven is Captain) and Picard as he was shown to have the reckoning stone in season 2 of Picard. Since it's connected to the Par Wraiths, it can easily be linked to Sisko and the Prophets. This way, we'd get all 3 Captains from the 1990s together.
Another option: a crossover of black ops and picard as a pilot for legacy. It could be a story involving philippa georgiou teaming up with worf regarding the aftermath with the romulans. Q is involved. Picard is helping jack and the enterprise dealing with Q. Characters from voyager (tuvok) or ds9 (sisko) might be a part as well. The movie could be a starting point for a legacy movie focussed on the old topics, like romulans and Q (except there will be no borg). The benefits: - paramount will only have to fund 1 movie, - its an interesting story, - it ties up many lose ends in the current star trek universe and brings a bit of order in the current chaos, and - it leads to the much awaited legacy series.
Season 3 of Picard proved that none of us are done with Jean Luc Picard or the entire next generation crew. So, Yes, there should be more movies and a show to continue that story.
But I don't think they will continue that story. It's likely going to be more of the poor writing and confusing storylines that you got in Season 1 and 2.
Now they have Terry Matalis who has proved himself worthy enough to give us what we want. Hopefully Alex let's him take charge of Picard and his story and we can get something awesome. I doubt it would be like Picard Season 3 but that was a once in a lifetime special event. We can still get something phenomenal if They give Terry the reigns. We don't want Star trek Legacy. We want Star trek Legacy WITH TERRY MATALIS. @@ki5aok
I thought S3 of Picard was an excellent epilogue to their story. The closing scene with the crew, with the classic outro theme... I don't want another bad ending to ruin it. It was a far better ending than the previous movies, and I'm concerned that without the right people at the head (or even with it), we will leave the TNG crew on a sour note again.
I disagree. I for sure want to see what happens to Data now, I'm also very interested in Geordie and worf especially and I think with The same crew as S03 Picard we could get another great story out of Patrick Stewart because to be frank He is ripe for the picking and his time is unfortunately coming and day now so we need to get another story in with him before he is room temperature.@@godminnette2
Personally, I would be much more excited about a Picard series being created - or one including Picard - that has the LOOK and FEEL of the original TNG we love and miss. I didn't hate Picard the series - it had some good points and some bad ones - but the main problem for me was that it was so radically different from the series we loved in almost every way that this character came from, that it was like NOT doing that character but some new one. The movies had a similar issue, but I realize they had to justify the much larger budget etc in that case. One season of a Picard interacting with people who have come through the show over the years* would be good enough for me! * - Moriarty (not the hologram they cheated us with in Picard S3 but the actual one "living" inside that portable holodeck) - That scientist lady who stayed behind when her people were not ready to accept warp capable Starfleet (TNG episode called "First Contact") - Rassmusen the fake time traveler who was discovered and taken to a starbase - Tons more over the years. Or maybe Picard time traveling 1000 years to the planet he lived 40 years of his life in, virtually. Actually meeting the REAL people there before doom strikes.
I cant help myself, even Lower decks has more of the old vibe then Picard had.... its this action focused, gritty look all shows nowadays need that just turns me off so hard...
@@BL33NBThis happens a lot too. When studios want to capitalize on some popular franchise, they seem to say to themselves, "Okay, how can we take this show that had this, this, this and this and then completely change it so it has none of those things? Yeah! Let's do it!" and then the fans are disappointed and the studio wonders why.
@@Ash_Reinit doesnt have to end, it just doenst have to turn into shi###, being extra gritty and all... it used to be about having a better future, even if things arent perfect...
Don’t mess with the Star Trek Picard ending. It wrapped everything up amazingly and gave us the send off we needed. Anything else is just milking the past for the wrong reasons. Give us new characters to love, new stories to embrace and a future to be hopeful about. I loved TNG, I loved Star Trek Picard season 3 but Star Trek needs new adventures with a new crew to take us forward.
I love Star Trek so much I will watch anything in the Star Trek universe. I started watching it with my father when he took me to see The Motion Picture and he already had me watching reruns of TOS and when he passed away we were watching the second season of Discovery so Star Trek is very important to me.
Would love to see them focus whatever’s next on the Romulans. Also, bring back Narissa. In my head cannon she definitely survived the fall and is plotting Romulan-style revenge on Seven.
What do I want from a Picard sequel long-Trek? The only thing I truly want -- besides a decent Trek story of some type -- is an opening with Jeri Ryan intoning "Space -- the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise -- her continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations... to boldly go where no one has gone before!"
the Titan rebranded into Enterprise? They made Voyager the flagship line after that, there was a Voyager-J in discovery, it would be interesting to see the new Voyager-B tbh. Especially since Prodigy is also getting to that, they made Protostar a ship class and Adm. Janeway was going to command another unrevealed ship at the end of the first season
I agree with the notion that Picard's story is done. His character has had 3 finales now (All Good Things, Nemesis, Picard), we don't need another. Any time/money spent toward such a project would now be better served doing something fresh, or at least away from Picard-centric. Legacy, an Ent-F production, giving DS9 some live action post Dominion War love, etc.
We open with Picard sitting at a table, sharing tea with Dr Crusher. Laris walks in and sits down next to them. They're all talking, Picard asks Crusher if she's heard from Jack recently. Then there's a chime at the door. Laris goes to answer, and comes back in very quickly. Followed by Commander Ro. "Ro, what are you doing here?" Picard asks. "There's been a development out near the Cardassian border. I need you." STAR TREK: PICARD The show could involve Garak, leading a new Cardassia, and petitioning for admittance to the Federation. Bajor is against it, and any remaining Maquis are, too. Picard and Ro go back to DS9, meet up with some familiar faces, and it takes off from there.
Did no one else read his memoir? In the final chapter he talks about this. The only reason he's even open to a movie is because he didn't get the final scene that HE wanted for Picard S3, featuring Picard content and happy with a home life, and a woman call's him inside, to be voiced by his real life wife, Sunny.
(with the understanding that I'm not up to speed on beta canon) I think one pretty massively dangling thread out there that ties well with Picard....what happened to Sela??? I'd love to see Denise Crosby reprise her role as the antagonist in a Picard long trek.
And Romulan Senator Vreenak ... the one Sisko had murdered to frame the Dominion, to convince the Romulans to join the fight. Even a shattered Romulan Empire, even decades later, would find enough rage to start a war if they were to find out. And Sela would LOVE to be the one to lead them.
I would like to see Picard, Laris, and the Romulans. With Picard being an artificial lifeform with a soul of someone who did everything he could to save the Romulans, he could end up healing their society. Or something.
Well we know that full Reunification with the Vulcans occurs post-Burn, so having Picard and Larys set the stage for the Romulans becoming significant enough galactic powers for that to eventually be beneficial to Vulcan would be interesting
Fresh off the back of watching the entire Next Gen series, the 4 Next Gen movies, and all 3 series of Picard (took me nearly 5 months!), and all I can say is....I am all for it! Let the man have the ending he wants.
At first, I wasn't hyped about it. But there is an unfinished story. And while I figured it would be a perfect jump point for Legacy, I can see where it could happen. And we'd get more Orla Brady as Laris. The Sela storyline. And with what happened in Picard Season 1 and Season 2 with a Romulan graduating from Star Fleet Academy, it's very possible that it would garner the attention of one of the deadlier Romulan foes.
I can't put my finger on why this is exactly, but I'll be honest; I lost any excitement I might've had for a Star Trek Legacy series when they changed the name of the ship for Titan-A to Enterprise-G. Keeping in mind that the "Legacy" talk started when there were still 3 episodes to Picard Season 3. When I thought it could be Shaw and Seven and Sidney on the Titan-A, I was in. When Episode 9 was over and I thought it would be Seven and Raffi and Sidney, I was in. Then they revealed the ship's name change and I just went "*sigh* Yeah, no, I'm out."
It still feels like Star Trek is looking at the temporal cold war with hunger eyes and I'd be happy if they finally ended the nostalgia era of Trek with like a trilogy of long Trek's telling that story, bringing everyone who is willing back and having their big End Game moment. *As long as after we can get a new cast in a new era without all the baggage.
Picard has had his day, time to put the old man out to pasture. If there is a movie coming, then it should be set around Strange New Worlds or a feature length Lower Decks.
I suspect that Paramount might be more inclined to do a series of Long Trek films for streaming instead of a Legacy show - I think their silence speaks volumes since they have already committed to the Academy series and SNW (not forgetting LD). I think a film with Picard will happen, I think it needs to be soon, and it could be set up in a way that could allow for a set of films (trilogy?) featuring legacy characters.
I would like if they do on a side stand-alone movies set in various Timeperiods plus some trilogy if they want. And on the other continue the Kelvin timeline and hire someone to build a plan like the MCU and do a cinematic universe of it.
I feel like a Picard movie could be a great way to tie in Next Generations, Voyager and Deep Space 9, could even be an ideal way to bring Sisko back from the Prophets
Another Picard film! I love it. I love many of the shows and certainly a Star Trek IV with Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto and Karl Urban sounds just as exciting. I must say, how would you cross those over? There is no Vulcan! I cannot see how that can possibly work? I’m not the norm…I don’t at all like the “opposite” universes or any of that. But Patrick Stewart in a new Star Trek film? Yes! I’d love that. Good news indeed. No, I won’t hang my hat on that. Patrick Stewart is 84. I am perfectly realistic about older actors. I’m 55 (56 in just two and a half weeks), so many of my favourite actors actresses have died or are beyond acting from physical or mental or both problems. I’ll leave the plot story to the writers! Thank you, Sean Perry. Peaceful and warm and healthy 2024!
A few years after Picard finale... Sela wishes to rebuild the Romulan Star Empire, theres a huge battle between the Free State (Laris is on the Free State Council) and Sela's fleet, since Sela's flagship is overpowered (thanks to Borg technology) a Federation fleet under Picard helps the Free State, the battle destroys the Enterprise-G...yay, but in the end the good guys are victorious; we then see the next Enterprise in mid-construction, which will officially lead into Legacy.
Being a Trek watcher since it started, I've heard "rumors" before, even right from the (a) Captain's mouth, but... I've learned to temper my expectations and be patient. IF there is a movie what would I like to see? As many regular cast members, (Original, NextGen, DS9, Voyager, Enterpirse, Discovery, SNW, and even Prodigy,) as possible. (Admiral's Sulu and Checkov? Yes!) ("Q" always) and I think the "villains" should be the Romulans. As always thank you so very much for the videos. Imagine, through illusions, Picard and friends are brought to Talos IV were they encounter Captain Pike and alerted that the Romulans have teamed-up with the Na'kuhl and pose a threat! Pikes information leads to Picard encountering Trip Tucker, who DID NOT DIE and he leads a team to deal with the crisis...
I was watching my box set of I Claudius: Stewart did a great job of acting as Sejanus, the chief secret policeman of Tiberius. A truly despicable character, that Stewart played masterfully. (The whole series is worth a look if you have an interest in Roman historical drama)
They should use the long trek format for what should be a yearly anthology series with various secondary stories in a made for tv movie format. Plunk it down in December each year when TV is typically on its holiday break. Do S31 for 2024, In 2025 Do Khan which they have been wanting to do since the beginning and would be something to tie into SNW to begin foreshadowing canon. Maybe 2026 would be a good schedule to revisit Picard again. The problem here is while Picard is the bigger name in trek history, Its the smaller stories that made trek great. We need to know what comes next for the whole universe. What happened to The Bajorans? Ferengi? Cardassians? What was the agreements made between the alpha beta allies and the dominion axis? Does the dominion persist in its pre war state in the gamma quadrant and prevented from coming across the wormhole? Does the federation get the ability to explore the gamma quadrant? What about the seemingly lawless delta quadrant? Especially after a deflated Borg creates massive power vaccums. People are getting too hung up on the faces and names when we need to get back to universe building.
Regarding the lack of a Star Trek Legacy announcement… keep in mind that it took over a year for Strange New Worlds to be announced following the end of Discovery S2. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Legacy announcement this April. As for a Picard Long Trek… how about a Picard/Q buddy movie? Maybe they have to work together to rescue Jack and the rest of the Enterprise G from some mysterious new power exploiting the fact that Jack is Picard’s new-found son and Q’s new-found object of amusement/torment…
Stewart's greatest strength as an actor was his instrument, his amazing voice. The power and strength of that voice is gone now and while this shouldn't mean that his acting career must end (see Logan where frailty was required) Stewart's voice gave Picard's words tremendous power reinforcing their sentiments. If people really want to see more of the Picard character it can only really happen with a new actor playing the role. It's possible to kill two birds with one stone here. Produce a series which may or may not involve a plot depicting Stewart's Picard performing a solo mission of some kind (perhaps an escape where he needs to deliver some maguffin to Star Fleet) where he doesn't need to speak. During this mission he must find solutions for various obstacles which require him to recall moments from his past ie: flashbacks to his younger days in Star Fleet which hold the key to solving each problem he encounters. Obviously these flashbacks should present a cohesive narrative within themselves which really should lead to the elderly Picard discovering a greater personal truth by the time we reach the finale. By setting the story told in the flashbacks during Picard's early career, we can finally get an extended look at that lost period of time between the end of the TOS films and the beginning of the TNG era. If you're reading this Mr.Paramount, give me a shout.
Given that most of the recent Star Treks have had End of the Universe type of stakes, I really love the idea of a comedy. I'm honestly thinking slapstick at points, with Elnor brought back for some physical comedy. And yes, Laris as the rom-com element. Plus finding out Jurati-borg are the new goofballs of the universe. I very much enjoy the high stakes stuff of the recent shows, but for once it'd be nice to just be entertained with belly laughs. And most of all, hand the torch of Face of Star Trek from Picard to 7, as Jeri Ryan is deservedly beloved nowadays.
I would love Star Trek: Galaxy by Red Letter Media. It could start as a movie with Picard in it but then Picard disappears in time and the crew of the Galaxy have to travel true time to save him. Picard would show up at the end of season 1 to reveal a bigger treat of the Galaxy. At the start of season 2 Picard would end up back in the 25th century but it is different. Picard would tell the crew of the Galaxy to find out what was happening and why people and things had changed in the 25th century. Picard would stay behind to give the Galaxy time to get away. Patrick Stewart would not need to do much in this show but Picard would still play a big key role in the show so that might make everyone happy including Stewart.
If we are using open plot points then personally I would love to see something that explains away WT photo's happened at the end of PIC season 2 with the new Borg and that transwarp conduit, as the closest we have is the current mission storyline in STO.
if they continue the Kelvin Trekverse, i'd love to see a Kelvin TNG show....of course, just like the cast of the Kelvin TOS, they would have to recast the crew....perhaps it could have opertunities of new characters or even pulling in characters from DS9 or Voyager....like janeway or Chakotay would be in Star Fleet during the beginning of TNG on the time line..and Sisko was in star fleet during season 1 of TNG as the battle of Wolf359 happened at the end of season 3 of TNG....Curzon Dax could be around too....Jadzia would be an initiate at that time and Bashire would just be graduating High School, about to go into the SF Acadamy
I think that frustrating silence from Paramount is because they seem to be in financial trouble, and I believe they are looking to sell the company. I could be mistaken, but the movie sphere news lately seems to suggest it. Probably no big moves until the dust settles? Love the content! Cheers!
I'm with you. Strangely enough, your comment is VERY similar to what the War Doctor exclaims towards the climax in the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special...
I think that a new movie about Picard would make no sense, we already said goodbye to Picard in Picard show. BUT if his role is secondary and the new movie is the introduction of the new show Star Trek: Legacy, with the enterprise G, captain Seven and so on, it would be awesome.
Fanfic is like this. Once a show has success, more content gets generated because passion for the story is ignited. But getting the project off the ground also means that you need influence and talent and time and resources. All that is actually not easy to attain. So i am sceptical. Let's just hope that the current series of shows finds much success that convinces the executives greenlight.
For a long trek... or maybe a short 4 or 5 episode series... an adaptation of the concept of the "Captains Table" books. An episode from each of the major Captains... 1 episode per captain, 1 story, 1 episode, maybe drawing on a piece of back story from their series'. Each one could be told in a different style...Picard at the academy, what was boothby talking about when he said "everyone makes mistakes".... etc, etc.
I’d love to see a movie with the legacy crew that was setup, but have Picard and Q be involved. A real exploration story…maybe not a conflict story. Idk I’ll go watch anything Star Trek with Picard!
@@kadosho02 for sure with Q you could snap other next gen cast in for help. I just think exploring with a mystery would be fun and be more Star Trek! I loved the Picard episode in season 3 where the new aliens were formed out of what they thought was a nebula. That moment was just cool.
I agree that the only plot thread still left is the Romulans. We know that they will eventually reintegrate with the Vulcans but it would be nice to see the rise of the Romulan Republic in the meantime. I guess either that or being Borg Queen Jurati back to help fight the machine god old ones from another dimension from Season 1.
It would be amazing if a moving could truly bring it all together. Enterprise, TOS, TNG, Voyager, DS9 - the original timeline shows. While I love the new shows too, those were the shows we grew up on. Some massive wild adventure that brings together all the captains - while they still can, while they're still alive. Achieve what they tried with Generations.
Possible topics: -Return of Sisko with Picard on a archeological discovery 🤷🏾♂️ -A time traveler with the return of Enterprise B -Saving the Klingon empire with a massive war (possibly return of Martok) -Return of Species 8472 and the Hierogen -Not trying to do a multiverse plot, but 🤷🏾♂️ -A renegade starship committing atrocities across the quadrant
In my opinion, another story with Picard would be awesome... especially if it includes the rest of the TNG cast and expands to include characters from Voyager and DS9. My only negative comment about how Picard Season 3 ended is that bringing Q back completely destroyed the story of Season 2 (spoiler alert: a large part of Season 2 was about how Q was dying). I love what Terry Matalas did with Season 3... except for that very last scene in which Q came back and fluffed off having died. What a slap in the face to those of us who loved the emotional ending of Season 2. (It made me cry.) SMH
4:25 - I remember an interview a while back they were adamant they weren't going to recast Chekhov. So I think they should bring in the Kelvin Excelsior and transfer Chekhov to her and bring in Ensign Ilia and Commander Decker. McCoy: My God, that's a big ship! Scott: Not so big as her helmsman I think. Kirk: Take care Pavel.
If there were to be a new movie involving Picard, I think it would have to involve his end, much like Generations saw the death of Kirk -- twice. Everyone dies, and fanboy me wants to feel the heartbreak of seeing Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (ret) meet his end in a heroic fashion. Patrick Stewart already brought another iconic character to an end in the movie Logan, and that was a beautiful, heart-breaking event for a beloved character. I don't want Picard to die off screen as was necessary with Ambassador Spock, though that was handled in a believably gut-punch way. If anyone can make the fans feel closure with a character, it's Patrick Stewart.
The idea of a new Picard movie isn't a bad one, new Trek is always a welcome thing. My concern is that there is a finite budget for Trek content, we already have Academy and Section 31 pencilled in, SNW and Lower Decks are continuing (as far as we know this being Paramount) so a big chunk is already allocated. Assuming that there will be a small amount left for another project I have to say I'm leaning more towards expanding the newer characters that P3 set up. Don't get me wrong I love all of TNG characters and wallowed in the nostalgia of P3 but the franchise has so much more to explore and I really want to see these new characters become part of the Trek family before I see the next part of the Picard journey. Ideally I wish we would have both but I don't think Paramount has the money to do it.
Perhaps a Legacy movie where Ent G crew takes Picard to take care of a diplomatic mission with various TNG characters making appearances in some form or another along the way!
Regarding the new Kelvin Universe movie, They could do a time jump where Kirk is about to be promoted to Admiral, so this would be before the VGer incident, but after the 5-year mission. set aboard the Kelvin 1701-A Enterprise. Time has passed for us, so let it pass for them as well. And one would hope that they do another Beyond-type film, whaer it stands on its own and doesn't try to do a Kelvin universe version of a prime universe plotline. Let it just be assumed that, for the most part, pretty much everything that happened in the prime universe's 5-year mission happened in the Kelvin universe, with maybe a few exceptions. The movies are the exceptions.
The Borg are never done - and I don't say that as a tired exasperation! I mean that as I can't wait to see the next really insane, wild, and thoughtful implementation of their story!
