Among the serious things Sir Pat Stew might have wanted to say: How he came to the set with the mindset of an earnest, theater-trained actor and began his time on ST quite put off by all the joking going on--joking that, in hindsight, was part of what not only loosened him up, but helped the Next Gen cast become such a close-knit troupe! I've heard that story from the great man's lips in other interviews, btw. When you see them all in the final scene of Picard season 3, one thing is very, very clear to me: They're not acting anymore, in the sense that all guards are down and they are being allowed to be themselves; genuine friends, whose influence on science fiction and television will last for generations to come.

This Season of Star Trek Picard was real Star Trek, none of this nonsense like Star Trek Discovery. Terry Matalas has done an excellent awesome job. The finalke of this season has opened the possibility for Captain Seven and her crew to start a new series with appearances from characters from Next Gen, Voyager, DS9. This is a must for Star Trek to continue . I have been a Star Trek fan since I was 7 and now I am almost 54. Star Trek influenced me into a career in aviation and becoming a jet pilot. I was very, very disappointed with Star Trek Discovery, with the characters and plot. I have loved the Orville and hope that gets more sessions. So, Captain Seven, Picard's son , Geordi' daughter and rest of crew go out exploring the universe, just like Captains Kirk, Picard and Janeway.

With all due respect to the rest of the TNG cast, there was something amazingly special about having a Shakespearean actor with Stewart’s kind of performance gravitas as the next Captain of the Enterprise. Not everyone started at that level (Shut up Wesley! Jk) but everyone’s performances were impacted, I believe by the standards he set, and the examples he gave. I think this is the reason, or one of the most important reasons that the franchise has lasted so long, Stewart understood what Start Trek was intended to be beyond an SF show, beyond a comedic company of geeks, but as an ideal of what humanity could aspire to. Look at the Q episodes for example, John Delancey is a hell of an actor playing an immortal or semi immortal being with near God like power, yet Stewart’s performances are so good that there is real doubt in the audiences mind that Q with all his power could win against Picard because Picard is that smart. I’ve been doling out watching episodes of Picard like fine wine because I don’t want it to be over, but every performance must come to a close, and with what little I’ve learned today, I’m afraid the temptation to race through the rest will be overwhelming. In the meantime, to all involved in the ST universe, Bravo! Well done!

Thank you Sir Patrick Stewart! What a beautiful Final season. It is great to see him get the press he had when TNG started in 87

You know...if he hadn't done Star Trek, chances are he would have become an iconic British stage actor.....and then he would have been cast in Game of Thrones!!! Haha! Seriously....GoT would have made him a big star anyway. Resistance is Futile Patrick....Hollywood gets you no matter what.
