He had such an honest humility about him yet a masculine strength you rarely see in a man. He always seemed to transcend the Hollywood ego fluff and stay grounded. He was a real special person that way. And, I love the way he loved his wife.
OH MY GOD !!!!!!! THERE ARE JUST NO WORDS IN THE ENGLISH DICTIONARY TO DESCRIBE THE GORGEOUSNESS OF THE SWAYZE ! He is such a beautiful soul. His goodness shines from within !!!!
Jajajaja!! He literally shines 😁😁! Exactly♥️♥️oh, I love you, Patrick.. Amazing...It'll be a pleasure to see you again one day♥️.. till then.. Ditto💋😪♥️😊
@McGillicutty you're comment is quite real and the truth of what life is; we do all die, at the ages of 26,or78...when it happens ,its what is meant to happen, and no one can control that. Yet, a true human being who has developed their soul, their true life and a growing heart would never write something so bare arrogant and cold.
And a truly GOOD one. In that industry, there are so many wicked sharks. Flip side of the coin - he was more like a Lion - a wise and gentle one. Show your teeth when necessary, be fierce enough to be feared when necessary, lead, and then stand back, watch and do what you should (in his case, perform.) One of the very few entertainers I truly mourn the loss of.
God, talk about having everything. Abundantly talented, handsome, modest, head screwed on well and proper and a wonderful edge to his personality that makes him so much more profound than other people. A truly unique person was Patrick.
Eu acho que ele deveria ter feito o sol da meia-noite esplendor do amanhecer por que dançava muito bem brilhava como o Sol era muito bom ator e dançarino multiversasat libera muito lindo o Patrick Swayze era uma perfeição de Deus
Rest In Peace, Patrick... You were taken far too soon but you will always be remembered with great affection and admiration for your many talents, acting, dancing and kind, good works as well as with horses and caring for youngsters who are our future. It was so good to see and hear you again. Our world lost one of its brightest stars when you passed but you leave a light in our hearts which cannot be diminished even over the passing of time and I for one am delighted that I was alive during your time on Earth, for your actions, ideas and love for all that you undertook, guides our own actions. We need more like you. Thank you for sharing this interview.
He was absolutely beautiful, inside and out❤ I wish he was still here with us, alive and well, but the good ones always have to die young. We love and miss you bunches Patrick💕
Wow. So grounded and down to earth. Takes moral responsibility for the kids that watch his movies. Wow that's a first in my book. Never heard another actor speak that way.
A wonderful and inspiring man. Dirty Dancing will always be my number one favourite movie. So many have attempted the signature dance mostly for weddings......some do a great job, others not so much. But at least they tried and gave it their best. I would love to be able to dance like that. Ballroom dancing is my favourite type of dance. I can dance, but nothing like this. Patrick still is an amazing man. Even though he is no longer on this earth, I think he is an inspiration and one person I would have loved to have met. Thank you Patrick for all your wonderful work.❤️
He was such a handsome Man,talented Dancer, great Actor.I think that Dirty Dancing was so successful because of him and his great personality and performance. Most of all He was beautiful human being! He will never be forgotten.RIP Patrick
No other dancer could top Patrick. He was prefection. I got to meet him at our kentucky horse park every year he brought his horses here and the way he rides with style and grace so beautiful...his horses were beautiful too...rip patrick youll forever be missed
We live our lives as best we can, some excell in the arts. He certainly did, I like him in North and South, a southerner, a gentleman, and his spirit soars.❤❤❤
I cry everytime i see or think of Patrick and his movies. He was such a beautiful Soul. Its not fair that the good once are taken so fast. I still can feel hus pain and my heart break everytime i think of it. R.I.P Patrick, you will forever have a special place in my heart. ❤️
Swayze really was a one of a kind. I've grown up with his films and he's always been a favorite of mine. Point Break being my number one! His best performance as well IMHO! He always just seemed so genuine and real in his interviews. Definitely someone to look up too. His comment about waiting around for things to happen is being a victim and how Dirty Dancing was three films ago for him was very interesting and inspiring! RIP my man Patrick!
Although they never had any kids, I'm happy to hear that he was so concerned about how kids would perceive what & how he did his projects. My oldest daughter had just turned 2yo when Dirty Dancing came out. We watched it so many times...the 100+ view club?...that she talked & danced to it. She was great. And so was Patrick. May he RIP.
this is my best friend's fave movie growing up. many years later I ended up writing a spoof movie script for this. what a good person! my mom died of pancreatic cancer too. I miss him and those days.
I loved all the movies that Patrick Swayze made but Dirty Dancing is the favorite. I miss him now, it is such a shame that he was taken away from us at such young age, no 57 is not old. But God has his plan and we never know, RIP Patrick.
What an amazing person! I'm so sad this world lost a person like this but hes happy now and everything he left behind can never be matched so thank you Patrick Swayze!!
This is an incredibly well done interview. I have discovered things about Patrick that I never knew. I have loved every movie he's been in. Red Dawn and his explanation was excellent. I saw it as an adult and I felt the same way about the film that Patrick explained, being that war changes a person and is truly an abomination. I didn't see it as a literal war, what if, but the way the characters played their parts and how their lives were changed. Of course I still watch Dirty Dancing any chance I get. May he rest in peace. What a terrible loss.
I loved this interview because it's so true that being classically trained (voice for me) you see things differently, and you feel slighted at the lack of training especially now with people not singing live but phoning it in a lot. He was very intelligent, and that cute grin about Jennifer made me really smile. Dirty Dancing will always be my fave movie. It spoke to me in a way when I was younger that most films don't. TY for posting this!
I lifted her, she posed beautifully, and I lowered her slowly to the ground, with our eyes locked on each other. It was a lovely moment, and very sexy. The room was absolutely silent - everyone was just staring at us. The Time of My Life ~ Patrick Swayze
Stumbled on Dirty Dancing tonight and had to watch it...best ending of a movie ever! So of course I wanted to look up behind the scenes stuff. Still miss him. What a special talent and spirit he was. So totally unique in his diversity.
You know there were a lot of affair rumors back then (I wish I had kept everything I had because I was so into that movie), and as you can see, he's super protective of Lisa, so I almost wonder if he downplayed their affection because of it. The man's stupid grin when he talked about her, but being a wife now, I kind of get being jealous of that a bit and maybe insecure. SHE was his dance partner, and here comes Jennifer, so maybe there's a bit of a jealousy issue there. If you watch the deleted risque dance scene, he has his lost in her grin on his face, and as Patrick said, they filmed a lot of real moments.
I think this happened , he is a professional dancer she wasn't . He was also the son of teacher of Ballet and my experience with teachers like that can be tough. I think he was more impatient and frustated by Jennifer not knowing the moves and that was blown out of proportion and led a life of their own . If they really didn't like eachother they wouldn't be have been able to dance they way they did together.
I've never heard that before but I can imagine any actors making a movie that takes months on end and especially the two stars so they do most things together, that alone would have an impact and most people would get tired of most ppl lol. Like the other person said, I dont think they could've danced that way had they hated each other and especially with the added anxiety of dancing Jennifer had the entire movie. Then again I guess we'll never know but whatever happened between them made a movie that will be remembered forever!
