Patrick Fürstenhoff is born in Sweden and he's 34 years old it mainly use Suzuki GSX-R 1000and Hayabusa 1300, often models prepared with a turbo . He began his "career" with a Honda CBR 250 and 500 Suzuki GSE
i turned out so many stunt videos inspired by Ghost riders true 1% attitude Growing up riding ATVs we had a saying "Never stop".. Watching Ghost rider back then i noticed, he never stops.. 100%
@@zerogravity4591 honestly RU-vid was not such a big thing back then. we would make DVD's. But once youtube became popular i did poorly take some film and post it on RU-vid under the name "GCB Remake".. Quality level is next to none tho being the footage i still had left over was pre edited so i could not edit to music and make new cuts.. the YT video is just an amalgamation of previous edited videos..
Patrick is definitely doing a bad ass real wheelie. Gary is technically doing a wheelie but without any kind of guidelines like Patrick mentioned of 300 yards or running through gears, someone will break his record no problem. It takes real talent to ride a wheelie as long as Pat does.
Gary destroyed Pat's clutch on the first day after only 2 runs. They had to come back the next day to try the record attempts. Pat had the bike fixed overnight and still let that dipshit Gary try for the record on his bike on the next day.
What the video doesn't show you is that this took place over 2 days..Gary on the first day destroyed Patrik's clutch after only 2 runs..Pat went home and a clutch installed from another bike and still let Gary the next day use his bike again. I wouldn't have but I guess Pat was all for the competition and felt sorry for Gary.
Ghost rider videos actually got me thru some very dark times, i love to ride and always wanted to race. Patrick has skills , confidence, and undoubtedly balls of stone to run the roads the same fashion you run a closed course. Thank you for your dedication.
He Can RIDE.....I brought all the DVD's way back then and he's a Living Legend, I've done 220 on a bike, Ghost Rider makes it look easy.......On the back wheel....Nuff Said!
I Like Ghostrider, I used to do a similar (MUCH Slower) version around my area when it was very late at night. No other cars except Cops. Didn't have helicopters, or SOOO Many CCTV then in 1980s so I could win....used to turn off lights and ride around the back of friends/family houses if they ganged up/got too close to me. Used to ride past cop stations, parked motorway cops and beep horn/wave to them, they loved it too. Even had a cop ride alongside me once on his bike, and signal me to go faster, I thought he knew who I was and wanted me over Banning Speed (100MPH), he didn't he truly wanted to see if his 1100cc could outrun my 750cc, it couldn't hehehehe.
I think the ghost rider has a gift that nobody can touch, Some may say hes crazy , But hey ,,we all are in some way. But his talent is awesome, I mean for real , Riding on the back wheel like that, And the way he handles the speed in traffic. I mean Damn!!! Dude you kick ass .
Is Patrick really the infamous Ghostrider tho?! I mean, you can tell he knows how to ride, but is he the nutty Uppsala record time setting, moto vigilante we all love?!
The bikes from the films of the _"Team Ghost Rider"_ are owned by _SWT Racing_ (Swedish Wheelie Team). The no.1 of this team, _Patrik Fürstenhoff,_ stands in the Guinness Book of World Records for a wheelie with 307.86km/h and is a Swedish Superbike racer. The machines will be officially awarded by _SWT Racing_ to the _Ghost Rider._ The chairman of _SWT Racing_ holds the rights to the _Ghost Rider_ movies, but he has, in his own words, _"no idea how the films were recorded."_
patrick uses the full length of the track to make the front wheel not touch the ground.....and that ....ladies and gentlemen....is the new world record holder....."Ghostrider does it again"
Yes, that is the ghost rider. Also, an excellent car driver,,,,Subaru . Drove with him at the Ring in Germany. He had bad headaches at the time. His son is a belting driver too. Super fast in a cart. Lovely chap,,, Love to se him in the TT,,,Now theres a thought,,,,
.... Gary is one of those guys that go out and buy a fast bike, puts on this nice little racing suit and speeds some. Now he is a bad ass!! It takes REAL riding time and even training to even do half of the stuff that Patrick does. I hate those posers like Gary. I see them all the time. Pass me on the straight road and then almost carry their bikes around curves .... anybody can go fast and the straight road ...
Thats how I always felt on my 800 dollar gsxr 750 it was a 91 and had been thru the ringer I spent 5 or 600 on all the things it needed just to make it legal and I was going hard against anyone and everyone that wanted to actually ride fresh paved country roads that I had spent hours looking for......they had no problems doing 165 on the highway but wouldnt do more then 50 in a posted 35 corner I hardly had to try because out braking them was easy I really miss that old pos that everyone gave me the stink eye for riding around town but couldnt keep up with me...lmao had a 2002 honda rear faring on it walmart fog light kit for head lights and a trailer kit for sidnals and break lights I had a Harley modular helmet from a friend for 100 and the guy across the street who raced sold me a jacket and gloves for 50 because his dog chewed on one arm
You appear to know very little about the stunt bike world fella . Gary Rothwell was probably the first stunt rider to ever use a 4 cylinder bike (gsxr 1100 slingshot ) , late 80's early 90s. We saw him at many biker party's doing things on a big heavy bike that was considered impossible at the time . He's had a long career on all sorts with 2 wheels which is currently focused on the wheelie record. Patrick's bike though & Patrick's rules. Fast in a straight line ? Look him up fella , you will be surprised 😮
Ghost rider will always be the GOAT even if someone breaks the record. Doing massive burnouts in from of the police station, out running cops on one wheelie at 200mph back when RU-vid wasn’t over saturated with moto channel’s trying to make a buck. He’s the real deal
of course a proper wheelie is of considerable distance....and through the gear box at least two gears.....what bike lover with any knowledge would argue this point..????
imo you dont have to change gears for it to be considered a proper wheelie. a good rider can keep a wheelie going for ages on any gear, and is a 1km wheelie in 1st gear not a proper wheelie??
Thank you, Gary! For teaching me that I'm a world champion-level wheelie-artist. Now all I need to do is learn to do a wheelie like Patrick and I'm already better than you..
My dad told me that when he was 10 years ago driving at a empty swedish highway, he saw a black motorcycle go past him at like 300kmh. That was maybe him
The thing is it is also that Ghostie has built a bike that is actually even capable of doing this, which also is VERY hard to do ....The bike being THIS powerful at times when he had his Hayabusa with 499 hp which still was driveable AND then also being able to do this as a rider.... The other guy was a really nice rider, but he "just" took an already built bike to try it out instead of creating one himself and do it like ghostie did.... And on top also having the difference in their bikes aerodynamics and then the "naked" like bike still does seemingly do it effortless..... What he did there is really impressive....
i have to agree with patrick, lifting the front wheel up just as you cross the line isn't really a proper wheelie(in my eyes so don't get upset anybody else pls). you could say a motogp bike or a wsb flat out hitting a bump or a rise in the track and lifting the front wheel could be classed as a wheelie then.
Ehhhhhh ? equal opportunitys ??? turns up on a pile of shite bike with a joke way to hold a world record .Then a guy who he`s not fit to stand on the same tarmac as LENDS him HIS bike , but he`s stingy with his 20 grand bike and only gives him a few personal best DESTROYING goes ?? YOU COULDN`T DRAG ONE OF GHOSTRIDERS TESTICLES ACROSS A ROAD PAL !! lol
The Honda was a 381 bhp motorcycle he had in the late 1990-is before the hayabusa... =) He acctually did several records with the blackbird, like * fastest wheelie with passenger and also *Wheelie with 7 people attached on the bike!
Apparently some people aren't satisfied with the looks of Patrik. He doesn't match the "superhero"-look that Ghostrider should have, or what? I don't want to destroy your evening, but Patrik is Ghostrider and that's a fact. "That's not him", "That's not his style"... well, in your face, youtube-experts :)
Is he really the Ghost Rider? In Ghost Rider Goes Wild, Ghost Rider gets a tattoo at Red Star Tattoo in Stockholm in this scene you can see that Ghost Rider has many tattoos as well as the one he is getting at Red Star. If Patrick removes his shirt we could easily tell from the tattoos if hes the real deal or not.
You can't constantly play with fire and expect never to get burned. My brother had a CBR600 and he rode like a Asshole he told me "The funny thing is when I Ride like a Asshole popping wheelies and going over double the speed limit I never almost die, it's always when I am riding safely that something almost takes me out like a deer or some driver not paying attention" I asked him why he thinks that is? He said "When I'm riding like a Asshole I'm expecting something to happen so I am ready to react, but when I'm doing 55mph and just relaxing I'm not ready for anything to go wrong" luckily my brother got rid of his bike before his luck could run out
he is right about cheat wheelie for my opinion just lifting the front wheel and land it straith after is not a real wheelie real wheelie is minimum 5 second
OK - Im going to clear things up once and for all!!!!! First off - EVERYBODY KNOWS that Ghost Rider is actually Nicholas Cage, Secondly, for someone to be a professional simply means that is how they earn a living, it does not mean they are necessarily good at what they do (I know loads of "professionals" that are useless at their jobs, but they are still "professionals")
I didn't know the high speed wheelie was a record. I hit a wheelie at 165mph by accident while riding a friend's highly modified TL1000R a decade ago. I ignored my buddy's advice about staying out of the throttle in any gear unless tucked in, as I mainly rode standard bikes at the time and didn't know better. We're hauling ass on i270 in Ohio and I pull back on the throttle at 150mph and next thing I know I'm up in the air. I knew enough to not let off the throttle quickly and initiate a likely fatal tank slapper (the TL1000R is known for speed wobbles) so I rode it out and stayed in the throttle. I finally came down and saw it said 165. I nearly puked. I immediately start hyperventilating as I hear him laughing his ass off in the headset. He saw me in his mirrors and had to slow down cuz he couldn't stop laughing.
that was years ago on a old blackbird, big difference between a busa and a bird especially a big extreme engineered 500bhp busa and he did not carry the wheelie very far at 220mph he did at 190,trust me we met the man at the nec bike show handing out dvds, nothing official hey??that is just amazing that patrick has the exact same busa as ghost rider with the exact same goodies bolted on and people posing with patrick for pics...look the myth of the faceless rider is over its patrick furstenhoff.
***** Are you saying that a vid from 1999 detailing a Honda Blackbird means that rider weight cannot have anything to do with anything? Sorry dude but your response to Jamessr3 's question was stupid...
Patrick AKA "Ghost Rider" has been an inspiration to me for quite a few years now in my Super-bike riding endeavors and have unlocked the doors to my now very aggressive riding style. Yes I know that many of his videos are production'ish and some scenes are staged but the meat is really there and I really really appreciate it for what it is and what its done for me to enhance my experience. . Maybe I wouldn't exactly call him a hero of mine but I would proudly say that he's pretty damn close to being one!
Ian Wright: can barely put a sentence together, but he's hosting a TV show. Chris Fashanu: can hardly put a sentence together, but hosts a TV show... I wonder why? 🤔
