I know dedicated snipers are a whole different ballgame weight wise to AR style rifles but if I can get a AR-10 at 9 lbs naked with a 18 inch barrel why is this so heavy!

It's a 338LM. With a 25x power optic, and bipod....I think it's not too heavy. My MRAD weighs 18lbs with optic and 24" barrel for reference.
