I got lucky. He was being put on the shelf the day I walked into Target after dropping off roommate at work. Absolutely love the figure!

For base mode, the ramp does have a port on the shuttle that it can plug into at the bottom of the loading bay. Also, the shoulders on the crawler section (while in "Lynx" mode and combined robot mode) can be expanded a bit to make it look broader. Great figure, picked up mine last month from Amazon... good review

Being a former Picker/Packer for Amazon, I can say that Amazon has some weird rules regarding items in crushed/damaged boxes. Amazon guidelines say that so long as the item on the inside isn’t crushed or damaged it’s somehow okay to ship. The people who stow items for pickers to come get, generally don’t try to purposefully damage an item, they usually have to fit tons of big items into small bins and fit those bins on very tight shelving spaces, the items tend to fall out a lot and/or get squished by other bigger/heavier items. Sadly it looks like your first Skylynx got this treatment sir. I wish as a company they would update this problem, though at the branch I was working at, management was terrible at taking notice of this stuff or just openly ignored it. Great video review though sir.

I've always loved skylynx. Thus figure is easily on my top 5 favorite figures of all time.

Solid review. Been super impressed by how much goes into the Commander Class figures and after just getting Motormaster had Skylinx arrive via Amazon CA the other day. Both components are surprisingly hefty and in Space dino bird mode he's impressively large, detailed and articulated. Too me a couple of tries to get the shuttle in place but once connected it locks in well. Wings would also be my only complaint as they're unfortunately lose, but find they look better in shuttle configuration angled up with the wings extended. Really cool to see the G1 comparison and to see how closely he was scaled to the original. Definitely a worthy contender for the top ten of the year for me.

I'm waiting for ToyHax to issue a sticker sheet for Earthrise Sky Lynx. I imagine Metallic Gold apps for the tail, sides and windows, at least!

I was in the same boat as you when it came to SkyLynx. I already had the Titans Return version and was fine with it... but my nephew found one at the store he works at and asked me if I wanted it. Glad I got him. Awesome review! When I look at those white tower/gun pieces, it always reminds me of the life boat that separates from those huge transports from the movie, you know, the one that crashes on Junkion. I think thats what I'll say they are. The escape pods.

My G1 Sky Lynx just arrived, and that toy is no slouch. The plan for my collection is to display the G1 figures next to their Masterpiece or their best modern figure to show how much the engineering has changed over the years. Your videos are definitely helping me make the correct purchases.

As always Great review! Just a couple of things that might help you. You missed opening the Lynx front shoulders to the sides, it gives him a much prominent chest and more imposing look. Also for the wings, I noticed you left them in a 90 degree angle to the shuttle, try to push them a little bit more towards the head leaving it in a 30 degree angle towards the head and they will be stiff not floppy.

Am I just imagining or did PP talk about an upgrade piece he had for Sky Lynx’s neck? 🤔

Mine's wing joints at the mushroom peg pop out if I wiggle them around too much, also one of the blue fold out wings was super loose, had to hammer the pin in more so it wouldn't be so floppy.

Great !! looks like I'm spending another $80 dollars .... Thanks for talking me out of it ! Lol, I was really hoping you would steer me the other way but he does really look cool. I always thought he would have been a better character if he didn't talk on the g1 cartoon. Thinking it would have been cool if he was silent and mysterious, swooping in and assisting the Autobots in a last means of defense ! Thanks for covering this figure and I'm liking it more and more !

The blast effects are the same ones that came with Omega Supreme so I'm guessing its because they both have shuttle. Also because it's a cheaper alternative to get them so that you don't have to buy Omega.

Just picked mine up today! I love it!

If you find your Back leg panels aren't sticking too well, I applied some paint to the nub and now it's a more solid connection. Though I hear the floor wax works well for that too. Probably stay on longer than paint now that I think of it.

I took a couple of the blast effects from him and use them with Scorponok since her didn't come with many. Then the head doesn't droop when I attach the rest to his tongue blaster.

Great figure dude, great review! Just a heads up you can splay lynx’s shoulders out, gives him a wider look. and extend his legs at the knee for a more cat like leg ( you gotta pull like shit though) all the best!

Had to wait till got home to watch. Saw once at retail. I gotta wait a bit since I got my first Titan. I remember my dog was barking at my G1 Skylnx. When was walking in the Florida room at my Grandmas when was in Florida. Noisey bugger on that floor. Will be adding eventually to the collection. Still picking up SIEGE stragglers too and waiting some new Earthrise figs to show up. Another awesome review. 👍

That g1 sky lynx lynx mode with a blue eyes is not a Generation 1 figure but it's an 2008 transformers encore

Hey bro, I appreciate how hard you must've worked to get that cool Patriot Prime Reviews on the metal background we see in your intro now, but I REALLY miss your amazing artwork of Patriot Prime himself. Could you not tack on an extra second or two of the Patriot Prime artwork after the metal background thing? I'm sure all your hardcore fans like me would really dig it! Excellent review of, what appears by all indications, to be an awesome figure! Had mine on pre-order for awhile now, and I believe he's in stock already, but I have been waiting on Scorponok to arrive in stock so they can be shipped out together... I'm looking forward to both! I finally got a G1 Encore Skylynx several months ago, which is pretty cool considering I NEVER thought I'd ever manage having one in my collection... (AND YES, to all you "experts" out there who have NOTHING better to do than "correct" people on their figures, it's an Encore, BUT IT'S STILL A FREAKING G1 FIGURE, it's EXACTLY the SAME basic figure just in a different box and minor cosmetic differentiations with the eyes or whatever, but exactly THE SAME MOLD/FIGURE, so PLEASE... Get over IT, and over yourselves already! Some of us have OTHER responsibilities that just don't allow for high priced original release G1 figures, and Encores DO the job just as well!) He was never one of my favorite characters or anything growing up, or even as a collector, although I DID like him in the Marvel Comics series... What I always liked about the character was his space shuttle mode and that he had 3 "bot" modes... So after the slightly disappointing voyager class, non-separating BUT combiner version from Combiner Wars... THIS was a rather NICE jump up, giving us a proper G3 Skylynx to go in our modern collections. I'm glad you didn't pass this guy up, brother! HOOO-AH!!

I ordered a brush pen and the box was crushed and broke open one of the ink refills and damaged the pen itself I had to superglue it I got a refund so it worked out

What is with patriot prime and getting damaged commander class figures

Careful with this figure I caught my finger in the ratchet joint and it caused my finger to bleed and a blister to show up.

Not to get too political here but on the crushed box issue it demonstrates when large companies put quantity over quality.
