My personal grades for the draft: Maye: A // They got their guy nothing crazy about it, great player great upside. Polk: B- // Pretty sure they said they wanted him all along, feel like they could've gotten more capital and still got him but regardless good player maybe slight reach. Wallace C // Right tackle that will need to transition to LT and taken earlier than he probably should've been. Van Pelt and the Oline coach like him so hell maybe he turns out alright. Robinson C+ // Can never go wrong with a guard, nice depth piece to take over for a injured Strange, Sow Baker A+ // Like you said insane value for a guy that should not have fell that far, has an absolute dog in him. Dial B- // Gives you that DB depth you need with a low risk high reward pick. Great man corner that could go well with the organizations knowledge. Joe Milton B- // Now our fifth QB on the roster, will probably be QB 3 with Zappe and Nathan out of there, will take over as QB 2 after Brissets departure. Physically insane and can potentially be Taysom Hill with more arm talent. Bell A // Boom or bust tight end that gives the depth we need, red zone demon and can potentially start behing Henry in 12 packages. Overall I give the draft a A-, got our guy of the future and gave him the tools to succeed. Some reaches and some great value picks but Wolf got the job done and did a great job as a GM.

Having Robinson could also help keep Strange and Bell from being burnt out in the 4th Quarter with the pats run game. Feel like I’m warming up to the decision more and more

I like the general flavour of the picks. Character guys that are willing to compete and work for a team and have good athletic traits. Really like Baker mid in the 4th. Guy had a competitiv attidude in his post draft interview and wants to proof teams missed on him Steve Smith Sr was high on his release footwork and catches aswell so cant be that bad since hes normally very critical. Think we could've getting away with better lineman but who know in the end if they work out or not. I agree on Bell. Good value great athlete undersized but Deebo Type good in Open space. Feels like a guy with a ton of upside could be a steal

Good takes. The lineman are solid. Much better than what we had in-house for the most part bare minimum. Wallace is steady as can be and the more I watch Layden the more I like him.

It is certainly better than anything we have seen recently . We may not be ready to win the division yet but we will be a lot better than last year and a lot more exciting and able to look to the future with optimism. Give Wolf the GM job . He has this team back on the right track . Just hope Mayo and crew can coach these kids up .

Maye: B boom or bust that has to boom based on draft slot and opportunity cost. Lot to work on but high potenial Polk: B- slight reach and somehat limited in upside, but a steady producer and chain-mover the Pats desperately need. Wallace: A- biggest sleeper in the draft. Slight reach but OT fell off a cliff. 100% NOT a LT, but im not a tweak and slot guys where they're good. Potential dominant right side now w/ Mike. Robinson: B- kinda got beaten up at the Senior Bowl, but his game tape is much better. Long arms, huge hands, good set, plays strong and a bit nasty. Not the greatest mover but a huge upgrade at LG. Baker: A- excellent value pick for the upside. Shify, dynamic wr with a aolid frame. Could bust but made lots of plays at UCF. Dial: C versatile db that will probably transition to free/slot safety. Jumps out the gym and plays aggressive. Not very flexible or loose-hipped and very grabby as a corner but competitive. Depth. Milton: B+ fantastic hedge against Maye. Crazy arm, needs to rework his footwork to be play "lighter" and more fluid. Quick decisions need work. Hugemongous upside. Zero risk pick. Great for wrs in practice and play vs our defense. Bell: A how did this guy last this long?? Short, i get it, but few college players are built like this dude. Unreal as a ball-carrier from a strength standpoint. FB, H-back, TE, goalline back, tush pusher...haha so many possibilities. See where he fits. Overall: B Didnt get the impact guys i was hoping for and still appeared to reach a few times and sacrifice some draft capital. That said, acquired several quality players that can reasonably be counted on to contribute, unlike recents years with total prayers and busts. Team got better, sured up the o-line, and added some weapons. Got a potential QB of the future. Still work to do in next year's draft and FA but a solid performance. LT, WR1, and CB2 next year. Go Pats.

See this is actually a good analysis! I’m losing my mind watching people write “Milton is better then Maye” clearly they didn’t watch the Vols play & just watched highlights yesterday, when you watch Regular game play (look I like Milton) but Maye is MILES ahead in every category except “arm strength” not a chance he beats him out

The draft was decent, they addressed alot of needs. It was players i liked , & players i was in different to. I'm not gonna lie tho, part of me feels like it was still better options in each position they drafted.

What I’m most excited to see are players that now have a coaching staff that allows them to be themselves. Bill would have NEVER gone for an animated competitive guy like Baker. We are finally transitioning away from the “No Bs no fun no animation” type of team atmosphere. We are finally getting competitive guys that can talk the talk and walk the walk

I like how PATS went for highest risk/reward. Glad they didn't trade down, but the speculated MIN trade for 3 1sts did sound intriguing. I would have loved for us to draft MHJ (he has one of the highest chances of actually being a solid pro), but I understand that would mean another bad year and early pick next year....

Caveat that I’m not too great at judging drafts (I loved the Mac pick). Lol. But I think this draft was better than the sum of its parts. Why? First three rounds addressed their three biggest weaknesses. Does it solve their problems? Doubtful. You’re not likely getting WR1 in the second round. Nor are you likely getting a lock down on the O-line in the third round, especially when he needs to flip sides. But, hey, what the heck do you want? You ain’t getting six first round picks. Lol. Gotta make the best of what’s out there. I think they pretty much did that. As I said, doesn’t solve all of their problems. A lot of work still to be done. But most of these players (top three rounds at least) are immediate impact players… sort of (they COULD be… Maye will likely be behind Brissett to start; lots of WR competition, so maybe, maybe not there; and maybe need some adjustment flipping sides on the O-line)… so, let’s rephrase it to say they have the talent to start at some point this season. And since they’d be coming in at positions of need, they SHOULD all be upgrades. As such, this should be a better team with all three of those guys. I realize every team probably says that after their drafts, but honestly, some teams really don’t do great at plugging in where they need it most (look at the Pennix draft). So, there’s no given that a team’s draft improves them measurably. I believe this draft from the Pats does. It did well in addressing the team’s shortcomings. Are we suddenly competitive? Probably not. Not in THIS division. But with our defense, we’ll be in most games. Most GAMES will be competitive; I just think we’ll end up on the short end way too often. Still lots of work to do. But the draft helped. It was a solid draft, IMHO.

I like getting Milton in 6th. When you think about it, brisset only has a one year contract. Maybe extend him one more year if maye doesn’t look ready yet. Have Milton compete with Zappe, keep the one who learns from brissett more and who shows more. And go forward with maye and Milton/Zappe for a backup.

I think overall I'd give it an a , maye was my number 1 qb ..for his ceiling, I think he will be stud in a couple seasons. I like the 2 chippy wr picks. Need some fire on the team. Milton probably be a good back up or trade bait. Couple lineman. Excited to see how it all works out

We moved that pick back 3 spots and moved another pick up 27 spots. I'm thinking the Pats had a couple WR they valued pretty equally, so they were willing to slide up the next pick and just take who was there 3 picks later. Kinda smart, in theory.

I gave it a B based on the Olinemen and the WRs. I felt better WR’s were available in the slots Polk and Baker were taken. Dont get me wrong, I actually like both receivers a lot, just felt better available. As far as the linemen, I felt they were more depth picks instead of looking for starting talent, though they say they feel Wallace can play LT, so we shall see. Overall, very happy with the draft. One thing I really liked, is that Wolf said the receivers were perfect fits for the offense they are going to run. That made me feel better about the picks, and that the fit is maybe more important than what I consider better receivers. That being said, BOTH receivers finished with over 1,000 yards receiving in 2023, and Polk finished 16.8 yards per catch, and Baker finished with 21.9 yards per catch, so they both add explosiveness though not necessarily speed demons. We now have 3 good young receivers in Polk, Baker and Douglas. Maybe draft a couple more next year to help Maye.

I think Wallace is a B- or even C+ pick. He would have been available later, has a lot of questions, and will be learning a new position. Obviously excited for him because hes a Pat now but B+ seems very very strong with all the circumstances and questions surrounding the poor kid.

Reminds me of when the Washington football team drafted RG3 and then drafted some guy named Kirk Cousins in the middle rounds. Always have dem QB's! At worst Milton doesnt belong in this league and you wasted a late round pick...at best you have a really competent back up that other team will covet and you could one day trade him for a 2nd rounder! Good draft for Patriots. Grades are a waste but get why they’re done. I like Maye, but not sure he’s a franchise type QB. Good kid. Hope it pans out. Polk is solid. I watched many of his games at UW. He’s a reliable receiver. Looks like new regime is going in right direction.

Most of the picks felt like reaches to me aside from Maye. I don't know the O line guys so they might not have been, but both WRs weren't the best available. Felt like I was watching us draft N'keal Harris and passing over studs. Hope I'm wrong

The thing that still scares me about the Patriots is the owners and their lack of interest in spending. If they aren't at least middle of the pack they're not going to be a great team. When your tickets sales are amongst the top 5 in te league your spending should also be as much if at least top-10.

I know this wasn't asked, but bleacher report gave higher grades to both Wallace and Robinson as compared to big Mike Onwenu(59). So I'm just saying if Mike got a 59 and these 2 guys were in the mid to high 60s. Good.chance they can get coached up to be good players, at least there's hope, right??

Wallace will be a solid starting lineman. I have watched him play alot over last two seasons. He is a very strong track and field guy, smart and a good citizen. He is one of the safer selections the Patriots made this season.

Of course it was a good draft. When was the last time BB drafted this low? The answer was NEVER ! He was bringing us to the Super Bowl every other year and he was always at the end of the draft.

Milton will be great in practice this year, to give the defense a guy with a similar build to Josh Allen to practice against. Next year, Brissett is out and Bazooka Joe will be the backup.

I'm not sure Maye was an A+... it was a matter of not over-thinking it. But a solid, obvious kind of pick (A). I had Polk in that 2nd tier of good but not great WR, if he's as good as McConkey, it's fine. If not, it will haunt them. (B) The rest I'd agree with. Shocked Bell was there at 231. Love that.

QBs/A...WRs/B...OLs/C-...TE/C..CB/C. One of the better drafts the Pats have had in the last 10 years. Belichick destroyed this roster..it will take time to rebuild the blunders.

Drake Mae seems to have a combination of several current nfl quarterbacks.. including Mahomes. I prefer the Kansas City Cheifs offensive philosophy.. " SPEED "! The Patriots wide receivers are not speed demons.. but, that is okay.
