The 3 cone drill time is far more important and applicable to football than the 40. The ability to stop on a dime, change direction and explode into your move is the essence of the game. The game is played in 10 yard increments the vast majority of the time. Jule's has proven time and again that NOBODY in the league can cover him in space. The reference to the train wreck catch in SB 49 is correct; that was his most remarkable catch of his career.
The 3 cone drill & it's time to complete is the most functional drill when evaluating a football player, especially a skilled position player, for various reasons. The "40 yd dash" is so overrated & so is the "225 lbs Bench Press Reps Test". I love Jules! Edelman is one tough WR/Football Player, both mentally & physically! His leadership and energy really make a big impact on the Patriots T-E-A-M! #GOTTABELIEVE Yes, the SB XLIX catch on 3rd & 14 vs Seattle was a HUGE play and #JE11 taking on that big hit, and just bouncing off of Kam Chancellor, and finding the energy to keep battling through & keep going was great. The way he finished the play after the catch, and securing the ball, was Edelman in #BeastMode He never had a concussion or head injury either like the ignorant media people kept trying to bring up. He was just exhausted & was already playing with a tight or banged up hip, which got aggravated on the play. That's why he was able to return & was great for the remainder of the game. I hated it that the media was making such an issue of thinking he had a concussion. That was such a BS issue with the media, when he was fine with his head & neck. Loved that catch and run after the hit, despite the officials marking him down by contact.
As a Seahawk and Patriots fan, I can't believe how he caught that ball knowing he be hit by Kam. That was big. I think that game gets forgotten a bit since the Atlanta game was such a huge comeback, but I argue that what was done against our defense was even better.
ARQ should be called 100% "Another Rage Quote". Pretty easy being a keyboard hero, huh bud? Go do something with your time . . Add to society, Save a life, Donate your time to the needy, stop being a hater.
He missed the entire 2017 season with a torn ACL and tested positive before the 2018 season. Obviously it was to help recover from the injury and not to get an edge against his competition.
@@SneakerRealm Testing positive just means you got caught, not that you weren't using them before. And the injury does nothing to prove they weren't used for performance enhancement. Not that I care but nevertheless...
@@johns4656 Each scenario is possible, I just find it more than coincidental that the one time he gets caught is while he's recovering from the injury. I just think it was more than likely used for recovery than to gain an edge. Just my opinion.
Actually, it specifically WASN'T steroids. It was an "unknown substance", not a "banned substance". It's a huge issue with the NFL testing policy that catches up a lot of players coming back from injury.
