When living in a hi rise condo does it keep you from socializing with the locals? I'm not a bar guy so I have to do activities other than sitting in a bar.
This is exactly the reason I am coming to Thailand. Great flats with a pool, gym, well cared for communal spaces, cheap food, great people and AMAZING SCENERY! I can’t wait to get there!
@@davedenham8697 You're not wrong in some ways but the key to condos is to move into a new one every year or so, that way you're constantly excited and refreshed.
I live in Thailand but I went a little more extreme in my "I am not particularly fond of people" quest as I moved about 60 miles west of Bangkok in a small village near Ratchaburi. I agree that the ocean view is amazing; that the cost of that place is awesome and seeing your personality makes me think you will like it much better. As I said I live here and find Thai blogs pretty blah, yours was very nicely done and you have a great personality and voice to do these videos with! Thanks for the UL and the time it takes to make these.. Peace out brother!
I did the same thing when I lived there. I spent a couple of years in Bangkok but then moved up on the Lop Buri/Nahkon Sawan border to a little fruit farm I rented. Loved every second of it…until COVID :( Then I left Thailand and haven’t yet made it back for good. Some day…
This is the reason I’m retiring in Thailand. The quality of life and affordability out weighs the USA! I have seen several videos and Jomtiem Beach fits my vibe! I plan to visit Thailand for a month next year and hopefully I can find The Cetus Beach Resort to enjoy the same amenities. Thanks for a wonderful tour! 🙏🏽🥰
That's just incredible. In Dallas that's $2500 month plus wifi, utilities and parking with no beach life and sunsets... Jealous much? Yep! Just awesome. Thanks for sharing, Bro!
@@barnold62LA would be 10k in the city or nice suberb. 20k on the beach. This condo if mortgaged would be about 2-2.5k a month depending on interest rates. So the usual 10 to one spending power in thailand.
Place is DOPE! Love those views and while not a fan of larger buildings, it's a perfect short term stay while tourism is almost non-existent. Jomtien is definitely quieter and more chill than Pattaya but also a different clientele vibe there as well. Again, no worries currently. Great choice!
Yeah I’m with you on this apartment and the location. I’m all about the ocean, hence my screen name, and I would love that place. Perfect size, I prefer smaller, and that view is beyond amazing! I just can’t get over how affordable these units are. The building itself looked beautiful too. I’ve got to get out there some day for an extended stay. Thanks for a great post! Stay safe! ✌🏻🙂✌🏻
Geeze, what a fantastic apartment. Location, amenities, view. Just terrific. Congrats on living the dream. It's crazy how cheap it is to live over there. What an inspiring video. Thanks for this.
Found it! Love this place so much! Insane views and very modern. I never get over how cheap Thailand is when it comes to apartments and food. Love all your videos!
Appreciate the video I was in Jomtiem in 2006. The beach hasn’t changed much. I really enjoyed my time there and after a day of walking around I always treated myself to a foot massage! I love visiting Thailand. Wishing China didn’t screw the world up as I would have visited there at least once. My wife also loves Thailand and the food. We spent a month in Chiang Mai. What a pleasure that was.
Thank you for showing me exactly what I want from life. Your the first to do more than the usual Pattaya vlog. Nothing wrong with that. But I want ocean, beach, and sand under my feet every day. I live in Australia with beaches to spare, but the cost if you want a beach life in retirement is a not that cheap dive miles from the beach (so need a car) and having a very tight budget. It's a week for what you pay a month there. I could probably save money there. F***ING amazing. I lived in china for seven years and travel SE Asia but never got to Thailand. That's changing hopefully when the world is over covid. There's a lot more research to do. But I'm sold. Thanks again. Cheers from Australia 🦘🦘🦘
Thanks for the comment Wayne. Yeah, you can definitely live a beach style life for so much less than other places. There are many great beach towns in Thailand outside of Pattaya as well. Down south you've got lots of beach towns and islands that remind me of the gold coast!
@@30AndAWakeUp Hey thanks for the reply, and spot on with the GC connection. I'd love to see you do some vlogs on these places if you haven't already done so (I'll check). Really appreciate your time and look forward to your next post. Can you suggest a public forum as I have many questions and I like to be thorough. Cheers from Oz.
I lived in Thailand for about a year plus around 1972. Loved Pattaya beach back then very laid back. You could rent small boats to take you out to the great Dive spots. After seeing this video, boy, so much has changed.
Awesome condo with gorgeous views. I'll never forget being in Jomtien 18 yrs. ago and seeing old high rises with no railings on the balconies. Pretty sketchy. Jomtien is definitely a laid back place to relax compared to Pattaya.
awsome price for this place, before you gave price i guessed 750 to 800. It works renting for the whole year even if you don't stay there all the time. thanks, hope you find all the peace and happiness for 2023.
Great video! I have the luxury of working from anywhere and have recently been entertaining a moved to Pattaya (Puh-taa-yaa). I’ll definitely be consider Jomtien, as well. Those views! I still cannot believe how cheap it is to live in such a beautiful place.
As you leaned over the balcony I could imagine the panic Ke Le would be feeling! I would love the view, the pools, and the beach access! It seems the perfect size and very reasonably priced! Nice! Thank you for the tour!
Thanks for commenting on the pool use. In all the condo videos I've watched, there has been almost nobody at the pools and I wasn't sure if it was just the wrong time of day or if it just wasn't very popular with the residents.
Omgosh!! I LOVE ur new lil condo. Great attention to detail....those sliding balcony doors are the best! Sooo shocked at the prices, makes me wanna leave Scottsdale,Az . Enjoy yourself, mister!! 🤎
Great video, I'm flying out to Thailand and staying in the Royal Park Village Pattaya City, Bang Lamung District in 1 month. Looking forward to more vlogs of the area!
Thailand is awesome. Been there so many times and in my eyes, it is the best kept secret - so affordable, the food all fresh and tasty, the people are the best, the weather is perfect, and I lived in a beautiful condo opposite the beach and only ended up paying around $370 per month - compared to the rip off countries like Australia where the cost of living is ridiculous!
This is one of my favorite Thailand/Pattaya videos. I hope you’re still there, such a beautiful place, makes me want to live in Thailand. I almost want to buy a place at the Cetus.
Amazing apartment and incredible view. I definitely prefer an Asian style apartment too. No question I would wake up in a positive mood having that view every day. The last few times I looked for apartments here in the US in my price range, it was all just cookie cutter boxes with almost no character, and definitely no view. This same apartment in most cities in the US, with the pools, gardens, and other amenities, would be about $2500/month or something. Hope to be in Thailand later this year, if everything works out. Thanks for the great video and helpful info ⛱🌴👍👍
Just found your page brother enjoying your page Im sharing your page with a few people i know that are getting ready to retire from big 3 Have a awesome day brother
Jomtien is by far more like a regular beach city its my go to when i come to Pattaya not just because its more lay back but the beach is nice and not crowed and i love the Night Market on Beach Road , The new digs look great ! someone has done an excellent job on decorating it to a western taste pallet.. L.A Rob
Well, I just discovered this video (you) and am very impressed! I have never been to Thailand and had no idea of what was on offer, despite my extensive travel experience..Great video and thank you.💕
Moving permanently to Jomtien in 9 days! Spending the first 60 days at the Copa, hopefully retirement visa is complete when the tourist=extension ends, and I will absolutely consider the Cetus for a one year lease! Beautiful! Great video.
Yes, I could easily stay there. What a nice place, love the lap pool and garden area and that you can open your windows and get a breeze. Best thing is that you are right on the ocean. Lucky you!
Just found out 5 years 17k and 20 years 27k but if you buy the 5 year and want to add the 15 years later it's only an additional 11k to reach that 27k mark
Spectacular. First video of yours I have seen. You did a great job as videographer and presenter. Love that place, and yeah, anything like that at $400-450 long term is an absolure winner. I/4 of the cost that the US charges without furniture or amentities. I love the "bum gun" idea. I got used to that in Bali. When I returned to the US, I installed bidets in each of my bathrooms. No going back, now. Water makes 100% sense; you're cleaner, happier and better for the environment. Noce work, I hope to be able to find something similar maybe in a year.
I'm in Turkey right now but it's gotten so expensive that I'll probably leave and have been considering Thailand. This seems like a great area, thanks.
After conducting extensive research on beachfront condo. I find Cetus condo to be the best choice. Exactly what I’m looking for. Thank you very much. All your videos are excellent!!! Keep them coming 😃😃😃
Wow! Definitely gorgeous! Both of those pools are beautiful(my husband would love that lap pool)! And the views. Man, you couldn't ask for more! So inexpensive. When my husband retires we will definitely have to spend some time in Pattaya Beach Thailand. Thank you for taking us on your journeys.
Brother, this place is DOPE! And only for 510 bucks a month? Here in Canada, you'd be lucky to get a FREAKING ROOM in a shared house for about 1k/month! Can't wait to get back to LOS!
Beautiful place. I'm wondering when you're going to start showing us some of the sights in whatever area of Thailand. There must be more than street vendors, apartments, swimming pools and beaches? Maybe not? Or even show us a day where you are getting your 2 or 3 meals from street vendors on your own, no assistance from Thais, and what kind of surprises you end up with. More vlogging of your daily life please. You think it's boring, but it's probably what we're waiting for.
@@JeffreySumberArchive They usually ask me how long I've been in Thailand. If you haven't been long, at least talk about your friend you're visiting who's living in Thailand. That'll make'em think twice. They often lose interest when I say how long I've been in Thailand total.
Those views! Can definitely imagine resting in that bed looking out over that view. Sea breeze heard outside. So good being that high up. Small but nicely laid out actually. Decent sized toilet/shower/closet walk area. Pools situated really well and another great relax spot. And that pool room!! I'll be bringing my own cue with me, so if I was there then more often than not you'd find me honing my game in that room for hours. Selling point right there!! 😁 Just have to decide if I want to be jomtien or city area now!
An amazing transformation since I went there many years ago. I really like the way things look. 3 years ago in Bangkok it was a whole new city but still wonderful. Hope to go back soon.
just came across your channel.........i really enjoyed your vlog.........i will be retiring to Pattay soon and this is right up my alley..nice and quiet with great views......
I wanna find a place even relatively similar to like this in Detroit😭😍😍😍 I LOVE THE MODERN DESIGN OF ASIAN STYLE APARTMENTS! Watching this made me miss living in South Korea.
Love the video Kev! We just moved back to the USA from the Philippines (May 2021), and we're looking for our next adventure, and Pattaya is definitely on the list, for a long term stay (2-3 months). When you first arrived, did you have something set up right away, or did you have a temporary Airbnb/hotel to start your search for a longer term accommodation? Stay safe out there! New sub!
14:09 Awwwwwwww my heart stops!!💖🥳 I will sit all day long watching the sea and the sun.. 11:11 The couch corner…This will be my working station. Working while watching the sea!!
Yes, this place seems very nice. I love the beach / boulevard too. What I realize is that you don't really show your transitions from one place to another. I mean the airport, plane from US mainland to Hawaii, form Hawaii to Thailand, and now the internal travel from the old place to Pattaya Beach.
My first thought as the video opened was "I have to run on that beach"!! Each place seems to get better, don't know how you do it! Need to hire you as my house finder !! This one is a great deal and I would stay there in a heartbeat, in fact I need to make it happen ;-) Question, there have been a few condo's now, how has it been for noise between units? do you hear neighbors next door or above you? Last time I sold a house and stayed in a condo I did not adjust well to the neighbor's noise...Also curious did you ever check out that rental above the scooter shop?
jomtien is insane,... the condo complexes there are stunning and one of the few genuinely cheap places left in Asia, plus jomtien is pretty nice... so win win all around.. heading back there for 2-3 months in november hopefully.... been stuck in manila and bohol during covid.
Absolutely insane. Kevin I’m jealous. A cool new Scooter, love the color. A amazing beautiful condo in a awesome location. Kevin you are definitely living the life. Kudos👍
Great video! How much would a similar condo rent for but with a larger refrigerator/freezer and more counter and kitchen cabinet space? Any concerns in Pattaya about earthquakes and tsunamis?
Wow, what a great place! It is so minimalist and classy. And the view; phenomenal!! The size of the place is perfect. Is this the sort of place you would buy, for your base?
Oh my!!! That’s a Mega deal!!! It’s so beautiful there. I Love the pools!!! The food must be so delicious and the sunsets. Wow!!! No wonder you love Thailand 🇹🇭
Hi just suscribed.. great view and low price. Hello from London Canada and enjoy Jomtien beach. I visted Rabbit Resort just down the road in 2011 Pattaya is just an amazing place. Thanks for the video tour of this beautiful condo.
I love the sound of the boat & water waves. New building Kevin & great design yeah& yeah cooking of course no need to cook. In my house my son cooks for himself & cooking for me is for RU-vid only🌍 I ate more salad & green smoothies. SUPER VIEW Kevin
That looks like a great place!...Does the Baht bus run along that road outside?....how much for a taxi into central Pattaya?....If you wanted that place for 6-12 months could you get the good price through airbnb or would you go direct to the place itself?...whats the name of the place?... Sorry, so many questions!...great video :)
Yeah, they do but harder to find at the moment because of the lack of tourist. They have two apps called Grab and Bolt - you can get to Central Pattaya on those apps for as little as as $2.
Good lord...I had to rewind and listen to you again mention the long term rent discount. $360 a month is a steal. What a great find! Thanks for sharing!
The beach looks like a 'no waves and no clear water' lake... BORRRRRING... and a tsunami would DESTROY all those shoreline pools and hotels. I'll pass and take (Tamarindo and Manuel Antonio) Costa Rica over this any day.
I am living Chalong Phuket I am 73 age weight 74 kg eat good diet cook everyday have motorbike freedom everyday fresh air live in new condo 6th floor I am very happy in my retirement from Australia hehe
