Good top 5 list I can see the appeal of each one for those prices. Maleez lodge is a great location right in center of Soi Buakhao. Just to note though that a bit of street noise filters in the room so super light sleepers may find that annoying. Also no pool or gym. Still the location is superb right in the middle of everything.

@@peterkelly5672 cheers Peter 👍 I highly recommend you don’t use any converter plugs when you arrive, a couple of occasions i used them it caused the wall socket to overheat. When you arrive in Thailand call into 7/11 and buy an adapter to charge your phone and tablets, those ones are the safest
It would be nice if you could always mention about a lift or if it doesn’t, it’s key to us oldies (not all oldies) but defo for me, a hotel or room review is great but it’s good t see reception / entrance as it’s a key measure if the place is top or trash. Thanks
The whole road work thing seems to constantly rotate around various streets. There one month and then gone the next, so it can be hard to judge when you book any hotel in this area
