Pattern interrupts are simply things which when said, are unusual enough to throw prospects off guard, or make them stop and ponder for a few moments. Things which are ultimate ‘out of the ordinary’. When we do this, we reduce the chance of receiving an objection early on in the call and achieve the first main objective: get more time on the call.
If you want to be treated differently, you have to act differently. That's what a pattern interrupt is all about!

I use pattern interrupts that have made me very successful in sales and I train my people on how to use pattern interrupts in their pitches! Here are some I used that I made up: 1. Hi, is this ( Name)? Well you will never guess who this is in a million years! 2. Congratulations you're a winner !- Of what?- a free evaluation for (whatever your free offer is) 3. Happy Birthday! - it's not my Birthday-Well it always cheers me up when someone wishes me a Happy Birthday! 4. Hi is this (Name)? Well I have to tell you up from that I have very bad breath, that's why I called you today! 5. Hi is this(name)? You know I was walking past your house and my shoe fell off! and I happened to look at your house, you know you have a great place for (product or service you are offerin) 6. Hi is this(name)? well my name is (name) with (company) I guess this is where you hang up on me now, right? 7. Hi is this(name) Well I already know you're not interested , but is it ok to take a second, tell you why I called, and you decide whether or not we keep talking? I have used all of these at one time or another and they all work!!

Also be sure to ALWAYS end with a question. Otherwise u get an awkward silence and they immediately get irritated
