This little Pig has proven to be a truly effective fly for big fish. Many have watched Mikael & Håkan's unique adventure with the great 55 lbs salmon at Steinfossen that fell for a fly like this. On a sunny day, when the fish are particularly tricky, the Nasty Banana Pig may do the trick. Our new little invention; the FITS Feeler Cones, controlling the feelers' position and ensuring a well-balanced fly, makes this design more reliable than any other pigs. Give it a try on a sunny day in tinted waters. We prefer to fish them with a up-mended, floating belly, and a quite heavy tip.

I think one important parameter that differentiates Mikael´s films from others is his energy and excitement when tying the flies, as well as some technical info on how to fish that fly properly. This time a bit different though. It is so obvious that you don´t like the pattern and perhaps not that much experience with it😄I have been playing with this pattern and I think they can be really effective in some certain conditions; high water, strong current. I normally tie them in orange and heavy and last year had a good catch on it in a flooded pool. I only use the wild boar but a bit long (to make more vibration) and between 5 and 10 strands. And I agree that storing them in fly box is an issue since the feelers intend to bend in wrong direction. Thanks for another good video👍

Have made a lot of piglet or as you call them pig flies. And have got a decent amount of salmons and seatrouts here in Denmark. We started 2 years ago, my friend and I- converting a ton of known flies in to piglets and they have become extremely popular here in Denmark. We don’t have any problem with the feelers (boar bristles) at all. They fish perfectly. We don’t use any cones in the rear at all.

Mikael this fly will fish much better than the original style. I've been playing around with that style to and those rubber cones will be the answer for some new patterns to. 🙌
