Fun fact: the house in Cerulean that has the rare candy in the back normally, The NPC in that house will tell you about what level traded Pokémon will obey you with each badge, what HM use each badge gives, and what the badge boost for that badge is.
This is really 90% RNG, 10% Skill. It’s fun to watch, but I’d probably get heated if I lost hundreds of attempts to the first fight because of randomness being awful.
I like the way shady did it, makes no sense to ban all legendaries when a legendary of 570 BST is the same as a non legendary with the same BST considering everything is random. In fact I'd argue choosing a legendary can be a detriment due to typically learning less level up moves
Yeah but the creator makes rules for it. That's like saying "I like how the Patriots did it, deflating the ball can actually hurt your team as well so they should be able to deflate the ball in the Superbowl"

55:33 Honestly, I kinda prefer Cynthia's intro, especially in Platinum. Subdued, but she just drops "Oh btw, thanks for helping with that plot to use a bunch of deities." like it's nothing and it's a monthly for her. It gives a feel that she's long past the sort of bravado Blue exhibits and has stayed champion for a long time because she dang well knows what she's doing.

2:44 Skarmory is one of the best physical walls from Gens 2 to 6, and is still decent in Gen 7 and usable in Gen 8 (I don't follow gen 9). Especially in the earlier gens, people WOULD put Skarmory in their top 10 lists (if excluding legendary and mythical mons)
It's still one of the best physical walls. Its in OU the highest tier. It's probably better than corviknight as skarmory gets spikes and rocks but lost defog
Badges in gen 3 give you stat buffs? I had never known that, and I have been playing pokemon for like 10 years now, plus watching tons of pokemon content nearly daily. To be fair, I have never played one of the actual gen 3 games (ive played ORAS but not the originals), so that makes some sense. However, i am surprised i had never heard this at any point before.
I've been playing ironmon on my own(because I'm a glutton for punishment). I'm currently about to enter silph co. with a banette, and it's safe to say it was pure luck. Lol.
