കൃഷ്ണ ഭക്തൻ കവി യൂസഫലി കേച്ചേരി സാറിനെ അംഗീകാത്ത കുറേ സംഗീത രചയിതാക്കൾ ഇപ്പോഴും കേരളത്തിലുണ്ട്. കാരണം അസൂയയും കുശുമ്പും തന്നെ. അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ചതുപോലുള്ള കവിതകൾ രചിക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്തതിലുള്ള നിരാശ.

Yusafali Sir.. Writing a song with unforgettable melodies and mind blowing lyrics is what currently missing in Malayalam industry. We are fortunate live in your era to get to hear those mind pacifying lyrics which you blended with rare combination of Malayalam and naturally grammatically complicated Sanskrit language. This shows the depth of knowledge you have in both of the languages. At times I overwhelmed with your sheer dedication to learn other religions to bring those religious mixtures to your poems. On a selfish side I wish if god would have given you more time on this earth, we could have more lucky to hear so many marvelous poems from you. YOU ARE A TRUE POET.

യൂസഫലി കേച്ചേരി എന്ന അനുഗ്രഹീത കവിക്ക് അർഹിക്കുന്ന അംഗീകാരം കിട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നു സംശയം! 1970 71 കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ നടൻ മധു സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ പ്രിയ എന്ന സിനിമ റിലീസ് ആയി. അതിൽ യൂസഫലി കേച്ചേരി എഴുതിയ അതിമനോഹര ഗാനങ്ങൾ ഈ എപിസോഡിൽ പരാമർശിക്കാത്തതിൽ അതീവ ദുഖം തോന്നുന്നു. ബാബുരാജ് ഈണം നല്കിയ ആ ഗാനങ്ങൾ മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ എറ്റവും നല്ല ഗാനങ്ങളിൽപ്പെടുത്താം അതിലെ ലത എന്ന ഗായിക പാടിയ കണ്ണിനു കണ്ണായ കണ്ണാ.. ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച കൃഷ്ണഭക്തി ഗാനത്തിൽ പെടുത്താം. അതേ പോലെ ആ ചിത്രത്തിൽ ട ജാനകി പാടിയ ഒരു അതി മനോഹരമായ ഖവാലി ഉണ്ട്.. ഈ ഖവാലിയുടെ മാസ്മരികത കേട്ടനു ഭവിച്ചറിയണം. ഇതൊക്കെ പറയാൻ കവി വിട്ടു പോയതു് സങ്കടത്തോടു കൂടിയെ പറയാൻ പറ്റു

One of the senior most lyricist of the Malayalam Film Industry Shri Yoosafalli - Kechri is active in the field for so many years , and Malayalam music industry owes a lot to this lyricist of repute for his enormous contributions. Mr. Kecheri along with late Devarajan Master has created countless hit songs that are of ornamental value to the Malayalam music Industry. The veteran lyricist, who is active in this field for the last half a century deserved heaps of appreciations for his voluminous contributions.

I dont read and write malayalam fluently although I am a Malayali due to my foreign upbringing. My grip in the language has been through the songs and movies and his contribution to bring the nuances of Malayalam and Sanskrit to my knowledge has tears in my eyes today. These great legends of our state and nation just ooze their talent and wisdom on us which has inspired me beyond anything I have known. Huge respect to you and your family sir for doing what you did best.
