I hope these shorts inspire more people to listen to Mozart's operas, as he wrote many beautiful arias for coloraturas and sopranos, always with the intent of showing their particular talents. Great female singers were rare, as most sopranos were castratis at that time.

In fact I wanted to say the same thing, it's not that I don't like her performance but Diana's voice is powerful and her presence is captivating apart from the costumes, I have looked a lot for that concert but I can only find her aria. In this one I feel a bit as if the auditorium or theater overshadowed a bit the projection of her voice, which is also powerful.

Bravissima ! L' avevo sentita da Luciana serra e Diana damrau . È l'aria più complessa che esista cosi mi hanno detto i miei maestri di musica a suo tempo.Mozart si ispirò alle litigate con la suocera poiche ' non correva buon sangue tra loro.

I heard Victoria De Losangeles sing this long ago, back in the mid-50's. Equally stunning voice and beautiful artist. So now I've heard perfection twice in my lifetime.

Yes, MOZART was the GREATEST. He was only 35 when he died. At least VERDI had a lot more time at his disposal, he got 87 (life span two and a half times more). Strange, isn't it?

It's too much work think of your heart and lungs and vocal cords as mussel's to help you to sing I never wanted to.put the work into singing I sang since I was twelve years old and until I was in my early twenties I was just tired of it too much work and like I have MS and can't work anymore it was a fun time when I was younger now the little things I do make me feel tired 😴

I have had opera buffs mock me for liking Mozart operas because they didn't consider them sophisticated. Sue me for not wanting to watch 6 hours of singing about misery.
