I was in this club for a while after seeing a gaggle of Mantas while down in Cornwall in the nineties. They gave me a card and i joined the club. I paid £7,600 new for the car in November 1985 plus £50 extra for a nearside door mirror. I had it for 19 years and 113,000 miles before it was vandalised beyond repair in 2004 in the East End of London. I absolutely loved the car and would never have sold it. The car deserved a bit more power and if i had it still today would probably have stuck in a bigger engine around 150 bhp would have been perfect. Great handling, i had it at quite a few angles but it always came back. I think these are finally getting the recognition they deserve. Better car by far than the Capri. And yes i had a sunroof and yes it rusted there.
