🤔I get why people compare Rose to a Westbrook or Ja but to me they’re not the same. Rose’s balance and quickness, combined with the explosion, combined with aerial acrobatics, is something that hasn’t been seen before. His layup package was not like anyone else I’ve ever seen. Go watch Rose’s first game of the 2010-11 season against Westbrook and OKC. His finishes at the basket were incredible, nobody today is finishing like that.

Crazy year to be a fan of basketball that season. I remember him always being advertised as too big, too fast, too strong, and too good for a point guard. His finishing was like Ja but he was smoother and cooler because he was nonchalant. Also the hype of being a #1 pick to your hometown team of the chicago bulls which had not been relevant since the MJ days. Everyone could feel it that this dude was supposed to take over the league. Him being so humble and nonchalant as well as the story of his upbringing really just made you want to root for him even if you weren't from Chicago.

@@andrewanderson7912 I truly believe that if DRose doesn't get injured - and that he got a better coach than Thibodeau - that Miami and Cleveland don't go to four straight Finals each....he was TOO good, and the elite rival in the East that Lebron never had...PLUS they would've had J. Buckets coming WITH him????? That Bulls team would've been Bananas!!!

D. Rose is & will FOREVER be my favorite player of ALL TIME! He put the entire league on notice that he had arrived. Plus it hit different because I'm from Chicago.

Derrick Rose was straight up an anime character in mid air. Like dudes was probably hitting flash backs to when they first picked up a ball. When he took that first step to blow past you, you got a cut scene monologue of the defender asking himself, "Why am I here? What did I do to deserve this?"

D.Rose was the very first player that I became a fan of. I literally improved in basketball because I was trying to play like him lol. That Celtics vs Lakers finals in 2008 made me a fan of the game and the NBA but D Rose made me want to play the game.

easy for me as a Pacers fan to say but the Pacers made the series really tough for the Bulls but D Rose couldnt be stopped when he went full speed and spin moved in the paint.
