@scootyman10 Hey there, I don't really remember I'm afraid....:-( But I remember that in 1992 I already played Mr Big stuff live. I guess, taste, accuracy etc. improved more and more over the years. For me the speed is the " easier" part in the bigger picture, but to be able to do this kind of stuff standing up, playing live, anywhere and anytime , takes some time I guess... Dang!... that was very good, you have really captured the way Paul groups phrases and your left hand looks identical to how Paul holds his pick keeping his hand floating but digging in nicely and quite aggressively too. Very well done mate :))

Incredible! May I ask you what kind of strings (brand, type) are you using? And how did you gain that kind of speed and accuracy? Years of playing or any types of practice lick? Remy is a good as it gets as far as playing Gilbert style. Food for thought, Remys hands are half the size as Pauls & he still is pulling it off. Fantastic job bud.

Would be great to see you do a video explaining the picking technique (and how to make that sit with a metronome beat) for the double down version of the PG lick. As in when he does “1234 34321” version of the “123432-123433…”. You do that once at the beginning of the video. It’s very rare that you see someone other than PG do that

@@remyhansen thanks for the info! Do you have any tips on how best to practice that? I'm familiar enough with Paul's playing going way back to the old Intense Guitar VHS video but I never managed to get my picking down that tightly. I ended up giving up, relying more on legato but I much prefer the sound of the pick attack...I'm probably lazy but maybe I just dont have the muscle biology for it. When you were working on it, roughly how much time would you spend on a single exercise?(minutes/hours?)
i must ask about the string action past the 12th fret, they look pretty low, just as low as the action from frets 1-12? I can't seem to get my higher frets to have super low action like my low frets...any help?
