Paul Hertzog - Kickboxer - Theme [Extended by Gilles Nuytens]
This is an extended version of the main theme ("The Eagle Lands") of the classic Jean-Claude Van Damme movie « Kickboxer » (1989) by Paul Hertzog. This is not a remix, this is the original material taken from the original soundtrack. Several tracks have been used to make this extended version. It took me a lot of time. I originally planned to make it a bit shorter but it wasn't possible without removing important parts, so here it goes a bit longer but for the best! I hope you'll like it.

I’m 29 and grew up watching van damne movies he was a massive inspiration to me I had no dad or anything and watching kick-boxer and blood sport got me to join a kick boxing club when I was young. We don’t have heroes like this anymore

Yeah JCVD and others like Arnold/Silvester were such an inspiration back in the days, they carried us weak little boys and created our dreams and goals. I grew up without a father, nobody in my family is even slightly athletic or into sports at all and here I am shredded and athletic at 37. Thank you JCVD and thank you all out there who recognize and appreciate this era of great role models as much as I do!

"Bloodsport" was great but to me "Kickboxer" was the movie that made me realize Van Damme was going to be a major player in the action movies for years to come. It was a good story of revenge, redemption, and becoming more than you thought you ever could be for the sake of honor and family. It had the emotion factor in it that makes you get invested and makes all movies great.

My Grandmother would rent this movie for me almost every day of the week ..back when video stores were around (90's). I never knew if she paid to rent it or the store manager would just give it to her. She eventually brought it home,for good! I think I still have it along with all the other VHS's I have 😎

Keep it... And cherish ALL the memories of your Grandmother & the good ol' days when VCR's we're in. I'd miss Mom and pops video rental stores. YOU had to bring the VHS tape back the very next day. You'll be lucky if you can rent the tape for 3days. Yep!! Those were the days. Interesting 🤔

Sometime in 1996, I watched it for the first time on VHS. My uncle had a VHS library. Dad brought the Kickboxer movie, but it turned out that there was a wrong VHS cassette in the box. It was already late around 10pm. Dad went to my uncle and got the correct movie. I waited while lying in bed. Finally dad came. He inserted the cassette into the VCR. It was that great movie with great music. I was maybe 12-13 years old. I remember that day like today and I love this movie to this day

totally totally agree. still listen to those music in 2021 , after decades , but it feels as if its now, the dimension it takes us back in and I so wish it continues for 100 years and 100 years and 100 years, this generation does not know the feel of music and especially from martial arts and training , i wish those movies never end.

The movie of my chidhood! The movie that got me into martial arts and got my split in about 10 days i swear (i was ten) I practiced in the splits while watching his training on a loop. I watched this movie so much that i knew the text by heart until the quality of the tape drop so low that I could hardly see anything Thank you Jean-Claude!

@El Rey I wished. I've been chasing to be a student in certain martial arts when I was younger. I'd watched kickboxer, bloodsport, dragon lady etc. That was my #1 Goal to get into Taekwondo 🥋. On the other hand These films and soundtracks keep me going.

Van Damme should have contacted Paul Hertzog for the Quest. That’s the only thing that movie was lacking, a classic soundtrack comparable to Bloodsport and Kickboxer.
