Yes, I always hear this song and feel the inbounding love the character in this song feels.... yes, he’d fly from the 16th Floor, not fall; but fly.... 💖
When I was a kid in the 90s, my dad made a mixtape for me and this is one of the few songs I remember 100% from that tape. Must've listened to it thousands of times growing up. And I stumbled across this song and it just smacked me right in the face. I knew every beat. Such great memories
Yes 45….. too soon to depart. But may this song lift you with warm memories of your times together . It’s so enthusiastically, heart bursting expression of love. Don’t ever flip its meaning for you into the territory of grief. Keep it “ our song” and your husband will be with you every time you hear in times to come. All the best to you. 🌹
i agree love this song,,,,,,but he has so many others that are great as well,,,and if you see him live ,,,,he is so brilliant,,and his band frilling brilliant
Who else remembers the actress (Kaarin Fairfax) as Dolour Darcy in the movie adaptations of Ruth Park's 'Harp In The South' and 'Poor Man's Orange'? Some great Australian literature there! And I think she was perfect for the character -- I couldn't imagine anyone else in the role. And she seems perfect for a Paul Kelly video too (their marriage notwithstanding).
No The lovely woman in this video is PK’s second wife and mother of his his two daughters, Aussie actress Kaarin Fairfax. First wife mothered his son Declan, in early 80’s. But they only lasted a few short years together.
