I am soooo conflicted. I am a Panthers fan...but, I love Torts (I was actually hoping we would get Torts when we were needing a new coach...more for the entertainment that is Torts, coaching is a good side hustle 😂) So a Panthers/Flyers playoff would be epic. 😛

I just loved it when Maurice read riot act last year to his team. Down 2 to 1 after 4 losses while trying to make the playoffs. They went to the cup finals after that. YAY coach...

I've always liked Paul as a thoughtful, generally compleltely honest NHL head coach. His assessment after Florida upset Toronto in round 2 was quite accurate, when he said "we had no business winning 2 of those 5 games & frankly Bob stole them for us". Spot-on & Bob went on to steal all 4 Carolina games where he was even better as Florida was outplayed in all of them. You don't have to apologize for your goalie being out of his mind good.

Pomo is definitely the best, he’s the most cerebral of NHL coaches and has the best perspective on the game and life. Was really hoping he could have won that cup with Florida last season, he definitely deserves it

Maurice is on top of the list. I would still put Gallant ahead of him, with a huge margin. Some fun player interviews include Jack Hughes, Patrik Laine since both players have a tendency to just send out what is bothering them :D

His look of disappointment and disbelief gets me every time. It’s not even the over the top reactions because his face is very expressive all the time. Sure his overall expression is emotionless but you can always see emotion in his eyes. His dead pan looks are hilarious and he’s fun to listen to in interviews.

As a Wpg Jets fan, I used to love watching him postgame. He could tell you everything, without actually telling you anything. Artistry of words. I still watch him sometimes with the Florida Panthers. Miss his bench anger animation. Awesome coach. But I still say, Go, Jets, Go

His secret is that before he is a coach, he is a fan. Maurice has as much fun coaching pro's as I did coaching six year olds, and I have never heard him badmouth a player (but I wouldn't want to go one on one with him in his office)

I saw a game where his team got 2minutes of penalty, the team in front got THIRTY-ONE. He spent the game yelling at the referees. Cant even be happy when it's fixed in his favor lmao

Maurice is an absolute crybaby. The refs gave Toronto one of the most bizarre 4-minute double minors against Domi of all time, let Tachuk run the Woll with no penalty, and gave Toronto a too-many men penalty for no reason other than Florida's bench was whining for it. Take the L like a man and move on with some dignity, Paul.

Something tells me that he's blowing Bettman on the side. Atleast it would make sense as to why his team can do whatever they want with little to know consequences, get calls to go his way damn near everytime and why he was so upset about this specific loss. He blew him extra hard and still lost. Paul is not happy and his breath still smells like Bettman.

Pat Burns! Miss that guy. Puck must move forward only. Rodriguez shot the puck moved backwards (rebound movement) which means plat was dead. End of story. He only knows how to win when he can get away with cheating.
