This is my all time favorite performer, teacher and artist, and this is my most meaningful album to date. I've learned something about myself through each song and it remains my favorite album since his fst performance tour after 20 years...I was center stage in the center of the room so full of emotion, it transformed me and it stil has that effect on me.

A fantastic, musically intense, later album that has been overlooked. Doesn't mean we can't enjoy it, right. Full, musically mature arrangements...Great freakin' stuff

Motor of love used to be my fave song to fall asleep to. I'm amazed that I still remember all the lyrics from this album - haven't heard it in maybe 15 - 20 years...... makes me feel old yet young....

We Got Married was originally recorded in 1984 during the David Foster sessions. All they did for the new version of the track was add extra horns, and new lyrics half-way through the song.

Yeah, I bought the CD when it came out in 1989. I managed a high end video & audio store in Texas...Put on "Rough RIde" every morning to get the employees up for the morning and many days just let it roll...Great times when could make money off of selling good equipment to sophisticated listeners, not the ear clogged, spud eaters of today.

Good album. Not all the songs work for me. Some are a bit meandering or not so catchy. Highlights for me are: My Brave Face, Put it There and This One. Just a notch below: That Day is Done, You Want Her Too and We Got Married.

He doesn't play much of his 80s or 90s stuff live. I think he thinks people aren't interested in that era of his work. He has so many classics to fit into 2.5 hours, so he sticks to the stuff that it critically acclaimed.
