I've seen Paul 7 times thru the years. I last saw him in 2010 and his singing was just fine. Since then, his voice has gone downhill. It's sad. I have passed up seeing him two recent other times because...I don't want to hear him sing like he's singing now. He sounds terrible!
@@sunking2001 I know what you mean. It is painful to watch and hear him sing with the loss of his voice but I don’t see Paul as a fool who won’t retire from touring because he’s stubborn. I truly believe Paul is doing it out of passion for the music and wants to share his passion with people who love music as much as he does. We all know he doesn’t need the money. He’s such a people person, he does it out of love.
I was at the Concert in Sydney, magnificent 81 yrs old doing a 3 hour concert no break in between and an encore come on that's a real musician... .. My favorite part were the story's he shared with us in how he met Jimi Hendrix who was performing Paul was with Eric Clapton, Pete Townsend, that was epic to hear such history of musicians in that time, that he still remembered like it was yesterday, to share that was beautiful, the tributes to John Lennon and little story he shared there about writing songs, and Tribute to George Harrison saying he was a brilliant mandolin and ukelele player.... Wonderful to hear, the closet thing I will ever get to see a Beatle live, and I'm only 50.... I'll cherish that moment in my life time!!!
Bless his heart, after all these years he is amazing. When you get older things just kinda go. Yes he does still rock, but his voice is just not the same but he is 81 years old. He has given us so much music over the years to cherish and enjoy forever. When The Beatles first came out I was very young, my parents helped me to purchase all their albums that I still have to this day and they are now replaced with cd"s. Yes, I love Paul always will, he was the cute one. LOL
Thank you so much for sharing this. I was there at the Adelaide concert, it was a magical night, one I will never forget. You footage is fab and Paul is amazing! Thanks again .
@@dannydonofrio3972 No. I went on the day and was lucky enough to grab just one seated. Miracle really. Anyway I was sitting with those who paid 5 times as much as me. A mate of mine went to the soundcheck and Q and A. He won a competition...still hate him😂He spent 10 minutes talking with Paul. Said as a great down to earth guy.
Feliz tb por ter tido a oportunidade de ir no Show em BH 🇧🇷 Desde jovem sempre amei querido Paul ❤ Obrigada por nos proporcionar tantas alegrias com suas belas canções . Love you ❤ Paul McCartney
What a fantastic night it was, I can see the back of my head a coupe of times in this video.😆 I'll never forget this concert, and I am so glad I was there to experience the legendary Sir Paul and his incredible band.
I was there as well and completely blown away. At the end of the on chore, there was a spotlight on the stage and people had started to exit the auditorium. I reckon he was supposed to come back to do Yesterday but they decided against it. (our loss). If you read this, can you all please stay to the end and see whether I was right. (Fancy missing his no.1 song.)
I think he did some cure to his vocal chords you can hear it when he talks too.. of course he hasn’t a powerful voice anymore but in the past years seemed like he was about to lost it completely. It’s gettin better all the tiiiiime!
A nice effort thank you. Sadly you had to film this from where we were and unfortunately, the sound is lost on this one as it was so much better than your phone picked up. Anyway, thanks again.
Weak voice...I´m not sure he can do more than one show. He´s gonna play 5 shows here in Brazil.. but it is very important to know the righ time to stop..its not good remember him down.....good luck master Macca,
Definitely some songs need to be retired from the setlist and be replaced with others, but I don't think Paul himself has to retire while he enjoys and loves what he does.
You can say it: his voice has been blown for a while now. Be honest. Nobody wants to admit it. Constant long tours, exceptionally long shows, and his insistence on doing screamy, raspy songs (Helter Skelter, Live And Let Die, etc) have done-in his vocals. I've been a fan for 60 years, but I can't bear to listen to this.
I haven't bought a ticket for this tour because it kind of hurts to hear him like this now. As you say, quite rightly, he hasn't done himself any favours with the schedule/song choice and doing songs like She's a Woman is just asking for trouble. I guess he still has something to prove to himself but if I go (I'm torn) it will be bittersweet, like last time. I feel like I'm watching a boxer who can't call it quits. Are people really enjoying the performances anymore, or is it just that he's one of the last connections back to the much feted golden era of music. The boomers think, if Macca is still OK, then I'm still OK. At least the last tour I saw was before Fuh You. I don't think I can endure that. That was, as they say, completely jumping the shark.
Great "boxer" analogy. I feel your pain. I first saw Paul during Wings Over America, Boston, '76. Magnificent, all around. Saw him next at Fenway Park, around 2006. He still sounded great. He just never knows when to tone it down, though. Doing small venues, like Ringo does, would be great, but his ego won't have it. Singing 'Live And Let Die,' with the pyrotechnics exploding all around, is what he lives for. Paul refuses to lower the keys to ANY of his most vocally-difficult songs. His fans don't care how he sounds- they just want to see him, but they're doing him a disservice, as Paul feels the need to keep the thing going. Sort of the same when Sinatra was still touring in his dotage. It's heartbreaking, listening to him now. Even worse, when I give an honest opinion of how he really sounds, and get bashed for it. Look at the comments here- most of them not being honest. Think: The Emperor's New Clothes.@@horacedray2837
I think it's hard for some fans to be objective. Don't know if you ever listened to Fabcast. Most of the time I was in accord with those guys. Often scathing about late Macca. But out of a deep love and knowledge of his work. Telling it how it is. Critical reflection. PS I couldn't help myself, I went to the soundcheck today (could see him as well as hear), much more interesting setlist to me. @@VillageOfTheDarned1
