Paul knows what he sounds like. He is doing this for us, the fans. He’s courages to reveal himself just as he is at 80. No ego here. Just “ here I am, here are the songs that changed the world”. Bravo!
Yeah but there comes a time that ya just got to say I am gonna hang it up. The guy is the most prolific song writer in the world according to the Guiness Book of Records… I would agree he is doing it for the fans, but 480 dollars for a nosebleed seat isn’t for the fans now is it? Lets be real its for the money. He is still trying to recoup money Michael got him for buying a lot of his catalog up…
@@rocknroll1 he settled in a court case for an undisclosed amount of money but from 1985 until 2018, he didn’t own those rights. Thats a lot of money to try and make up for. 33 years of not earning any royalties from those songs. Michael on the other hand made a boatload off of them… Either way, retirement would embrace him. And it isn’t a shame to say ya know I can’t do this anymore… But, 480 dollars for a seat in the back where you can’t make out who is who on stage is a little much. Don’t ya think?

Look, Paul sings because he loves to sing. People come to see him because they love to see him sing. You have a problem with it? Because you love to have a problem. We all get what we want.
What an absolute gift that he’s still touring and recording music after blessing our ears for over 60 years. Undoubtedly the greatest musical artist of all time
Sir Paul McCartney is 80yrs old but I see him as the young man I fell in love with 1963!!!💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋👏👏👏👏👏👏💖💖💖💖💖💖🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐
People complaining about Paul still touring with his current voice makes me sad... The dude is an absolute living legend. Dude's borderline 80, and gives an incredible show, still playing flawlessly, with a lot of energy, an amazing band, lots of props and refusing to stop doing things by himself. He's giving EVERYTHING he has to keep the show going, and delivering as well, except in what he can't control And even then his voice is still in tune and screaming! I'm glad most of us understand that fact and support him for being such a master, and his audience clearly does too. I'm just dissapointed by the occasional comment saying he should give up and that he's "tarnishing his legacy". I'm always gonna admire Paul, and a "rusty" voice won't change that, nor ever tarnish the incredible legacy this man has.
I'm a Beatles fan, however if he insists on continuing to play live at least alter the act to suit his age. Sit in a chair and do acoustic songs with dignity. He can't jump around a stage like he's 25, it makes him look sad. The voice isn't there anymore, that's not a criticism its just a fact. I can't think of anything better than him sitting playing the Long and Winding Road on an acoustic...dignity is the key.
It's rockin' fun - Paul's a class act by itself! A musical genius - this is probably his last U.S. tour - so happy our Paul graced us with this for all his fans! He's the legend and the best!
People have been saying that the current tour or the next will be Paul’s last since 1989. He couldn’t possibly still tour at age 50!! And yet he did. Now he’s about to hit 80 and he’s still going. So he’ll probably keep going as long as he’s breathing.
Right?! None of of us are what we used to be. I am going to see him next week at Fenway Park and simply cannot wait!! Just to know I will be in his presence is amazing to me!!
@@davebryant8050 Just how many other near eighty year olds are still preforming where you live? I mean- what do you expect the quality to be if that was not top class for his age group for you? 'A heard of Wild Wilderbeast maybe'. Personally for my age group who was listening to him in the early sixties, myself I find his iconic, and really incredible at age 79. It would be me who would be out of order if my expectations were of the raw rocking sounds of the pre hippy beat boys whilst kennedy was still alive (1962). Come back in forty years time and tell me if you still expect to sould like a twenty year. I recommend you stop going to the over seventies concerts untill some time about the year 2042. As by then you may think that which ever artist is putting on a show for your older generation, that that artist's preformace is something incredible special. Do you expect a piece of cheese to reduce in price the older it gets? (Just in case you thought I was saying Mr. Mccartney was a piece of cheese (I was not) I was comparing aging with a aging cheese). Sorry. But the world does not work like that. The older the cheese gets the rarer it is to find such well matured curd. So rarity values apply and the chease increases in price/value rather than decreases. Same with wines sometimes and even some motor vechicles. Think of Leonardo's Mona Lisa. It's not getting cheaper the older she becomes. Then also there are aging houses, castles and masions. Till they get so old (Stone Henge) they are above price (Priceless)! My guess is the point you are missing here is that your ticket price is for something 'priceless or near priceless'.
I find it amazing that not only is he nearly 80 years old, but so many music acts that were inspired by him have come and gone over the decades, yet here he is still performing strong.
In 94 my friend and I really wanted to go to his concert, but being 15, that was not meant to be. We then made plans to go once we turned 18. She didnt live to be 18... and I nevet had the guts to go to the concert without her. I'm going this year in sao paulo. I got the tickets a few days ago, and I keep randonly crying
This live rendition of an 80 year old Paul singing his signature, break out solo hit is possibly the best “live” version of this tune that I’ve heard. It sounds to me that the great experimentalist in him is not lamenting any loss of his vocal range. Instead the never ending artist in him continues to make art, painting with what colors he has left in him and not really being all too concerned about ones he’s lost. He also has a great band that love him and his music and always hold him up where he needs to be.
I’d go back in time to 1964 and tell Paul that he will be singing this tune on stage 58 years later and see his reaction. Can’t even believe an 80 year old has the stamina, energy and dedication to do a tour. He doesn’t need to. Yes ticket prices are high but what do you expect from the richest, most-famous musician alive and certainly on of the best of all time? Paul has proven that he is more than just a Beatle as each one of them has. Ok back to playing my Hofner bass.
Back in 1964 it was the real James Paul McCartney. The man performing now is really a William. And he cannot leave the stage altough he is 84 years old.
I think ticket prices are a steal for this piece if musical history that won't be with us for long. I am going to the show in Orlando tomorrow and I can't believe I'm going to see even ONE of the Beatles!! It's surreal to me and I've seen a lot of concerts!!
Saw him 3 times when he came to Winnipeg .First time in 93 outdoor football stadium 50yard line in the20's row paid just over 30.00 for tickets .2013 80.00 a ticket .2018 same price but up in nosebleed section but still worth it !!! Paul's concerts are fantastic and for him to be turning 80in June and still playing for the people is amazing !!!
I would expect that, him being rich and not really needing the money, he would care about making his shows more accessible, especially since he and the bands he was on keep gaining new fans, i see it, the man is still popular with young people and he will probably always be, but, rich people tend to forget about that as they age :(
I had the pleasure of seeing Paul perform in his prime and that will always be with me. Whoever made this recording, I thank you for giving me the chance to see him on what is most likely his final tour. Class, personified.
I'm honored to have been able to see his May 3rd performance in Seattle. What an amazing experience! I had a fantastic time. This was my first time attending a McCartney concert. If you ever have the chance to see Sir Paul on stage, take it. Drive a few hours, spend those couple hundred dollars. You won't regret it. Sure, he's getting old but so experienced! A great entertainer and so generous! A truly experienced entertainer.
Saw his Wings over America tour 1977 in Germany and I remember it like yesterday. I now have health issues and can't make it. Yes his voice is laboring but he is worth 100 times more than anyone else on the planet to see live. This could be it for him.
I just spent over $900 for tickets, and drove 5 hours there and 5 hours back to the Knoxville show. Worth every dime and every mile. I would do it again ins heartbeat
Never got to see John in concert, but I managed to track down George, Ringo, and Paul, in that order... In fact, I was one of the audio engineering contractors at Veteran's Stadium during McCartney's May, 91 tour. It was not only the last concert that I ever worked, it will prove to be the last I've ever attended, and for that, I will enter eternity 'forever grateful'; thanks Paul, and thanks, Linda, for providing the soundtrack of our lives....
PMcC had the greatest rock-n-roll voice of all-time ... pair that with his songwriting and performances ... glad he shared his gifts with us ! ... rock on
Voices always sound horrible on cell phone recorded video. He sounds pretty good and with 10 thousand people singing with him I am sure it is a truly amazing experience. You will never see the likes of him or The Beatles again. RESPECT!
It sounded the same live. This was my 4th McCartney concert - I went on the 2nd Seattle night - which certainly could factor in since he sings for 2-1/2 hours. This time, it wasn't the surreal experience for me as in the past, just because his voice was so strained, raspy and warbled. I really had to focus on the visuals, the production, and his instrumentals (which are still tight). Wouldn't have missed it - but feel sort of conflicted.
@@mattmcgourty7971 It didn’t sound “pretty good” at all. The instrumentals, production, show and everything else was fabulous. He’s a living legend but his voice is completely gone. Can’t hold a tune in a bucket any more. He should have backing singers with 70% of the mix. It’s painful watching such a great musician sound worse than a karaoke bar singer.
Thank you so much for posting!! 🙌 My autistic daughter, who just turned 15, is a Beatles super fan for as long as I can remember. She knows the exact order of songs of every single album, she plays multiple Beatles songs on uke & piano... a few years back I took her to Vegas, to Cirque Du Soleil's LOVE and there's just no words to describe her total, overflowing happiness... When Covid started and tour was canceled, Paul said that him not being able to ever play live again was a real possibility... It was totally devastating... Fast forward to this new tour: I got tickets for me and my daughter to see Paul in Orlando 6/28 (he'll be 80 by then) and you guys have just no idea how incredibly excited my daughter is about finally being able to experience Paul live! (and me sharing that incredible moment with her!!!) Gracias totales, Paul! You are the absolute GOAT 🎶🤟🙌💫💪✌🙏

I'm almost his age just turned 79 and have been a fan ever since his first step on any stage. back in the early 60's. great performance for his age hell I talk for 5 minutes and I get horse and lose my voice and he sings for hours still ! God Bless him and many more Paul!. ECF.
I went to a Paul´s concert (for the first time) in 2004 in Gijon (Spain). I did it thinking that there wouldn't be many more opportunities to enjoy him live... I'm glad to see him still rocking, I hope to see him on a next European tour. Maybe even 20 years later (2024) with a new album, who knows. I'd love it. Peace and love to everyone.
All through the years,Paul looked like the healthiest guy--and he would be doing just what he's doing,For 80,he still looks fit--and he loves his music.Fantastic.(and the music rocks).
Paul is AlWAYS Great! He ages like a "fine wine". His love for people and his music is quite obvious. We are so blessed to still have Sir Paul in our lives. Rock on Sir Paul! Love You!!!!
His voice is impeccable. Maybe I’m amazed is the proof. The notes are in perfect pitch. It’s the wind that’s just beginning to fade. Unreal how he belts that song still in 2022. People trained to sing can’t nail it that well and we’re all talking about Paul losing 1/10th of what he had. He’s still better than a dreamer like me could ever hope to be. LEGEND 🙏🏻
you're delusional or tone deaf. or both. I'm not even trained and I can sing 80% of those songs better than he. the other 20% is accomplished with live effects.
Yo me sentiría "honrado" y "agradecido" si tuviera oportunidad de verlo. No tiene ninguna necesidad de hacer conciertos, los hace porque es lo que ama y por los que somos fans de él. Keep Rocking Paul. /,,/
Saw Paul with Linda in Pontiac, Mich in 1992. he did a big John Lennon tribute. And when he did let it be I cried like a baby! I was only 6 years old when I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan but I have been a Beatles fan ever since! And now I was hearing him live for the first time and I was so thankful I got to hear him with his wife Linda. His voice was much stronger back then. As a singer myself I feel for what Paul is trying to sing his best. But he’s hanging in there and he is a trooper and I have so much respect for him! Rock on Paul!!!
I just saw him in Oakland on May 8th, my second time seeing him, first time was mid 90's I think at the Cal Berkeley football stadium. this show was better to me. I am 63 as of yesterday and my first album I ever bought was Abbey Road. I consider seeing him as witnessing history. brought back many great memories and a fear tears. great show and I'm glad we went.
What does it mean: “ There will never be another _________(fill in the blank).” Such an empty, pointless, corny, and ridiculous thing to say that has no real meaning.
Amazing that i am watching this with Paul still singing and playing.I watched him live at the Glastonbury Festival U.K. Thinking 2003. A perfect show. He will be headlining the 50th this June. Paul! I see your still loved. " All we need is Love " Still the most important message for the World!
Sorprendente alla sua età un tour così impegnativo , Paul sei un grande, unico stupendo una leggenda vivente ti amo ❤️ grazie per tutte le emozioni che mi regali con la tua musica,un grande abbraccio dall' Italia 😘♥️
Thank you for sharing! I'll probably never get to see Sir Paul live so this is so precious for me and all like me that grew up with his music as soundtrack, be it Beatles, Wings or whatever. And for those who say that he aged and should retire, well, just remember that he had the most ductile and range wide voice in the whole rock'n'roll panorama and used it in all possible ways, from gentle ballads to high and loud screaming. No wonder that it doesn't sound the same at 80. Still he holds the stage live magnificently and the audience is there with him! I wish I'd age as well as Sir Paul McCartney!
I got to see him in Lexington back in 2021, and I have to say, singing Hey Jude with 20,000 other fans was amazing. It was a very emotional moment and a hell of a way to end a concert.
He's so fragile...anyone alive during the lifetime of this amazing human treasure is blessed and touched. Just to be contemporary with his level of greatness is overwhelming. Even still, I wept. Especially when he sang the songs of the early Beatles days.
I respect the fact he has the balls to just do itt, regardless. And hard to believe he's been with this lineup for over 20 years... Great Band.. Thanks Paul.
@@gustavo-gj6vd It was a life experience I will never forget.. In 76 Beatlemania hadn't quieted down quite yet so the first real tour by a former Beatle was a huge deal. We all ran into the cavernous Kingdome to see this HUGE production was mind-blowing! Biggest Showco PA system ever seen. It paid off as the sound was pretty good. I was a bit late and walked into this cavernous Church Of Paul so it seemed! It was quite overwhelming with tears in everyone's eyes! I swear!!
@@NormanPeterson that sounds awesome, I always say that if could go back in time I would go to that wings and tour, The vibe looks awesome, one of my favourites albums, and my maybe my favorite live performance, Macca at his best, with the best song choices and of course the best wings lineup great vocal and Jimmy...Awesome
In 1964 A Hard Day's Night just came to movie theaters in New Jersey - the only way my 2 older sister's could go see the movie was to take their 7 year old brother - me - once I got into the theater I got away from my sister's and sat by myself watching The Beatles in A Hard Day's Night . When the movie was over I walked out of that theater and I was engulfed by The Beatles and have been a FAN fore ever - they were so great - funny and as cool could be and still are - A real blessing to the world - Thank You - John-Paul-George and Ringo . The world was engulfed by The Beatles .
Tomorrow is our night. $900 dollars tickets for my wife and me. Peanuts!!! Watched him at Mexico City a couple of times. And I’ll watch him again if I can or if he can… Next is Ringo!!! Chasing him, as well!!! Coming to St. Augustine. Would really love to had the chance to watch George. My favorite!!! I’m 41. John. He’s in my heart…
I come from Vietnam, although I really wanted to go to Paul McCartney's concert but couldn't, but thanks to your video, I was able to indirectly attend this concert, thank you very much.
For the people complaining he is old. There is a lovely thing on youtube that lets you select the video you do want to see. And no one is forcing you to spend your money to see him live today... the people buying tickets know full well he's not 25 (or 64) anymore.
I was there, in the same room, with Sir Paul! I saw and heard young Paul, during this concert, I was back in 1964 again! Been in love with him since I was 11 years old❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I saw Paul three times here in NY, in 2005 (MSG), 2009 (Citi Field) and 2011 (Yankee Stadium) and he never disappointed even slightly. He never tuned down his songs and always played them in their originally recorded keys, which is no small feat at his age. Amazing footage, and so glad to see him still rocking.
I had to have half my songs drop down a key to be able to sing them comfortably on my 2011 to 2017 tours. Simple matter of fact: your voice changes -- and deteriorates -- as you age...
He's still a great musician, but he shouldn't sing for those kinds of audiences, for 200+ bucks. And I know how high and mighty this sounds, but sportspeople also have to accept when their body doesn't allow them to continue and they become coaches. Macca could still write and perform with a young singer, but of course it's difficult to let someone else sing your #1 hits after all these years

I saw him on Monday the 2nd (which was my 68th birthday) really had the best time. Nothing compared to seeing one of the Beatles, I love every song by them as a group and lots of their individual songs as well.
How many legends are still around that gave so much glory to the whole humanity soundtrack till the end of times? I had the chance to see him twice in Mexico City in the 90’s.
Paul still delivers a high quality and energetic show!! Age is just a number for him.. and good on him!! His ability to play, sing and perform has not changed at all! No signs of old age at all ❤️ definitely a super rare talent of our generation 🙏
Age is sadly not a number. For nobody. I know he is 80 and I know also, that most people are death in this age. There fore he is doing well. But if you don't see any signs of aging on him and don't hear that his voice is only a shadow, it seems you need glasses and hearing aid.
@@alberteisenmann1023 hahaha .. it's just a saying not to be taken literally.. of course he's old and his voice is to his age, I was pointing more on his energy and how much he enjoys playing.. he won't do this much longer for sure.. it must be really hard to stand there for hours and do this at that age so that's why I showed respect for him.. 👍
Nothing but love for Paul, it’s amazing that he’s able to perform at this level, but I definitely think that he could benefit of playing in a lower tuning, not only will his voice rest, but I think he’ll also feel better and enjoy himself in each song:) we’ll stand by him no matter what
I am a most macho man. Retired Navy Chief. 5 combat deployments. Combat logistics for various Naval Spec Warfare units. Middle East. Panama. Central Europe. Etc.... But I tell you without embarrassment I love Paul McCartney. Saw him in Jacksonville and what a tremendous show. He brings that old magic back, that old Beatles magic, that magic of the 60's and 70's. Bless him.
Anyone complaining about Paul's voice, seriously dude, I'd love to see how YOU sound when you're 80. You'll be happy to just be able to get up in the morning and use the bathroom like normal let alone perform a 2 hour concert plugged into an amplifier rocking some kickin music in front of 50,000 people.
I saw Paul in '89 and I'm glad I did. I'm not a huge fan of older musicians trying to recapture past Glory's even though it is Paul McCartney who I love. You could tell though, his voice was shaking and he's just getting older. That's perfectly okay and we all love him no matter what but I just like remembering him when I saw him with Linda when his voice was strong.
We were lucky enough to see Paul and with Linda singing harmony and playing keyboards in Frankfurt Germany. They were awesome. It was 1989. This concert will always be my all time my favorite. God Blessed Paul McCartney will the ability to create magnificent music no matter what age he is. R.I.P Linda always "the cook of the house"
@@mariannferranti7236 wow, Frankfurt Germany! That must have been awesome. I'm sure it was the same show I saw. He was touring for the flowers in the dirt album. He came out and did 45 minutes for the album and a bunch of wings songs. Then took a break for about 20 minutes and came back out and did nothing but Beatles songs. It was the greatest concert I've ever seen. I was at the Berkeley stadium on the Berkeley campus. Maybe 100,000 people. I paid almost $400 for two tickets 20 rows back dead center. He played for almost 2 hours and at the end I thought of at least 10 more Beatles songs that were huge hits. Truly the greatest show I've ever seen. A very close second was James Brown but that's another story....
I saw him on the same tour in '89 at Skydome in Toronto. I feel like you - very mixed. Glad to see he's still spry enough to be out there, but its really hard to hear him sing now. I'll always love his music though!
@@maxxq yeah, it's a lot like listening to the late era Sinatra or Tony Bennett. Both phenomenal singers but just hung on way too long. I can totally understand when the majority of your fan base is telling you they don't care, they just want to see you because they love you so. And in that, I give all of them a pass for the most part. I just feel like Paul is closer to my generation and so I just never wanted to see him grow old. Totally reminds me of how old I'm getting as well...
