I worked his concert setting the stage lights and sound. It was great. After the concert he shook every workers hand. He was the nicest and most grateful artist I've met.
Wow. Te leo enjulio de 2024 y sigo pensando que Paul es extraordinario.Amo su música, amo a los Beatles y lo que me han compartido durante mi vida. Qué maravilla que hayas vivido esa experiencia! Felicidades! Espero estés bien y tengas una buena vida.
This guy is a legend, and when he dies, it will be a tragedy, as when John Lennon died. These are one of the few times where the whole world, country to country were brought together under one roof and sing -- a song that is recognized globally.
buliwyfZrage Way to be a downer. Pretty sure he never said that. He was just mentioning the incredible impact that Paul has made on the world and that millions and millions of people will be heartbroken by his death. He's not wrong. No need to be so depressing and condescending.
rocpet3 Glad you pointed that out, I so happen to be a singer. I'm not saying I could sing like Macca used to be, but at his age now it would be easy for most people.
rocpet3 Oh shut up. That person isn't lying. At the time I remember watching and thinking he sounded fucking dreadful. Were it anyone else, the media would have had a field day laughing at him. However it is 'Sir' Paul/an international treasure so everyone ignores that he actually cannot sing anymore. He is an abominable live vocalist.
I don't see why anyone hates on this cuz Paul right here, in this moment, turned not just the whole damn Olympic stadium, but the whole world, into one EPIC choir, bringing billions of people together in peace to sing "nah, nah, nah, na na na, nah! na na na, nah! Hey Jude!" This moment falls in world history!
His voice is still amazing. You go try and sing this song, haters. And if you don't like his voice, or him don't visit these sites and upset those that enjoy him. Really? Some crazy killed John, George died from cancer and you wanna pick on 70 year old Paul? If you don't like his voice why are you here? Go away, let the rest of us enjoy his tired voice.
This was the 1st time I ever watched a whole Olympic opening ceremony and properly enjoyed it from start to finish. This was our Olympics in Britain we went and saw the torch as it came through Rugby, it was great getting home from work in time to watch the cycling, we watched as much as we could of it. It was one of those occasions where it was ok to be proud of being British..
HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY HATE ON THIS GUY? Even if there were a few patches, he's been singing for the last 50+ years for crying out loud! Give him a break! I still shouldn't see why you would need to though.. this performance was amazing, I wish I were there!!!!
I teared up when I first watched this on TV. Just how everyone got together and sang the hook. It was so beautiful to hear. How different people can be, we can connect through the power of music.
Paul McCartney has always been great. I'm so glad he brought together people from all nations in happiness and song, in front of the whole world. In peace and love. I'm still amazed at how popular the Beatles still are. It's one of those things that transcend generations
They knew this song would truly bring the world together... If im ever in a situation where sides need to come together Imma start singing this song...lol
Heres what Happened to Paul at the Olympics: Now you have to remember two things, first though: 1. As Paul is quite older now, he needs to be half way through a concert at least before he can sing hey jude.(its hard to sing) 2. Similar to the first, Hey Jude is EXTREMELY high to sing so no proper warm up is not really a great thing. anyway. At the olympics, everyone were asked to mime to a pre-recorded backing track. So their pre-recorded track would be heard through the TV and the Live track along with a tiny bit of the precorded version would be heard in the stadium. But, what happened was... Paul, as he is not used to using a backing track as he never does use one, came in a bar too early I.E he didnt even remember to start it with the backing track. But He was playing infront of over 1 billion people, so he couldnt just stop. So what happened was, the Backing track came in after paul had already started so they had to just cut it off and we heard the FULL live performance. But anyway the reasons it sounded very bad. All the equipment on stage were miced up perfectly for stage performance, but Nothing was prepared to go through a CRYSTAL clear live TV feed, where we can hear everytiny thing going wrong. So as a result to that, the drums were too loud, the vocals had absolutely nothing done to them, normally if theywere going though a digital TV feed, they would have gone through different effects and compressers so the his voice sounded how it should (Dont worry, he doesnt use Autotune :P) etc.... oh and once again he was very nervous, because before he started his performance, he was under the imperssion that he would be singing live to his usual Stadium crowd, but at the start of the song, he realised it went wrong and then he got all nervous considering he was singing live to 1BILLION PEOPLE! and he knew they'd seen his cock up and he'd had no warm up... the list could go on... but really if u want to see how paul really sounds lately so people will see he can still sing... look up the hey jude mexico 2012 video which was like only a few months ago and U'll see he still has it!!!:)
While watching this performance on TV w/ my mom, we couldn't help but wonder if Sir Paul McCartney would...well...just retire already. He's already accomplished so much and can't keep doing this forever.
According to the man himself, he'd forgotten the bell was gonna ring, and thus got startled _right_ before his performance started. And from whay I gather, they indeed wanted him to lip sync but he was staunchly opposed to the idea. About the quality...this is pretty clearly somebody pointing a camcorder at a TV, which means that it isn't exactly a benchmark for visual or sound quality.
Paul I just love the way you sing this song since ever, no matter the version you always make me feel all over the moon, you have changed the World since you were a Beatle, you will always be one of the greatest musician in the whole World, I love you and I love your Music, you will live for ever and ever! :)
@@michaelsrowland I feel sorry for you. I feel sorry for the fact that materialism has flooded your head so much, that neither can understand a simple metaphor, nor the sense of emotionality and universality of a piece of music. I'm truly sorry.
Watching this last year on TV was the most breathtaking and most phenomenal performances I had ever seen! To make 80,000+ people come together and sing the same song gave me goosebumps. You have no idea how much I wanted to be in Paul's position that day! Absolutely outstanding!
GaHyun Hwang That's not true. I generally wouldn't say this, as I am a huge Queen fan who generally only listens to 70's rock and 80's stuff. But there is plenty of good music, as there always will be - you just have to know where to find it.
The United Kingdom, with its democracy and free speech kicked Beijing's ass on a fraction of their budget thanks to all their amazing bands and artists.
maka your a legend and we know as a performer that you cannot hang up the guitar because it is your pleasure.Well done for over half a century you have made people sing and smile.
This song; it makes me so, happy but makes me want to cry at the same time. Paul you are amazing. I love this song sooooooo much. I love the Beatles. But this song gets me every. Single. Time. ~Beatlesfreakforever
Paul & John's voices are the shit! This shit is my favorite Beatles song, along with "Day Tripper". Thanks so much for this live performance! 3:18 "Na (10x) Hey Jude!" my favorite part of the song!
Got millions of people around the world to sing together in happiness-- Let's see you top that. (Will we still need you, will we still heed you, When YOU'RE 64?)
Truly amazing. Not so much about the singing or the man. But Showcasing Britain for everything that makes us great. About how around the world, country to country that is one of the only songs that everyone knows and enjoys! And for one moment the world had something in common.
Oh my god this is sooo cool, and so legendary I wish I could go to one of his concerts paul is like a God, I can barely imagine what the vibe was like, everybody having a good time feeling free for the moment, so powerful!
No se quien seria capaz de darle voto negativo a esto. En este vídeo se puede ver al mundo entero reunido y escuchando a una de las mejores canciones del mundo y a un gran cantante. Viva Paul y Viva The Beatles tambien Los mejores juegos de colombia carajo!!
Don't forget before dissing him about his voice that this man is 70 years old there. I saw him live 2011 in Cologne and his voice absolutley blows me away. He was amazing that evening. But nobody can do that everyday, not even Paul.
this performance inspired me to end a piano medley at my school's talent show with this song. everyone sang along and it felt fantastic. i would like to think everyone singing in the stadium created a wonderful atmosphere. :DDD
Regardless of what people might say about his voice at the age of 76, Sir Paul can still write great songs as evidenced on his album 'New' and I have to admit, his new song 'Come On To Me' is better than a large percentage of what is in the charts at the moment. Sir Paul is a true. living legend of our time.
